I would give them higher than 5 stars, but that is the highest I can go…read more The saga beings on June 12th when we hit a deer with our trunk on our way through Kansas. My insurance agent setup a tow trunk and I had her make sure it was one that could not only haul the truck, which was not drivable, but also tow the RV that I was pulling. Tom the tow truck driver was awesome! We were in the middle of nowhere, KS, and he was able to get us all hooked up and towed us back to Dodge City, KS and Bailey's Body Shop. He even setup our RV behind the body shop that will fix the truck, because I didn't know where else to go. He then took us to a gas station to get gas in the generator and gas can so we would not run out during the night while using the AC, as it was over 100 degrees that day. The next day (Monday) we tried to get a rental truck to finish our trip, but we found out that most rental car companies don't rent tow vehicles, making me basically stuck! The owner of Bailey's (Bob Bailey) himself, let us use his personal truck and a friend towed the RV to Wichita (3+ hours away) and we were able to rent a U-Haul truck that allowed us to use our hitch and finally was able to complete our trip to Oklahoma late on Monday night. We thought the repair (estimated at over $10K) would take over 2-months due to part shortages and also logistics. I'm happy to report that just over 3-weeks they had my truck ready, and it looks like new! I would definitely recommend this body shop to anybody!!!

I suggested she try to find a body shop in Dodge City to see if there was a way to patch it or something to get her on her way She found Baileys. She said several men swarmed her car ,,got under it and managed to cut and patch it enough to get her safely back on her way. No charge Here is my point. .When a shops integrity and resourcefulness is that apparent as well as the kindness shown to my daughter ,thats the shop that will get my business.Thank you Baileys from a worried father and mother a couple of thousand miles away!

My experience on the phone was pleasant enough. The phone was answered promptly and courteously, and I received the information I needed in a professional manner. I set the appointment for the following week, providing plenty of time for the necessary glass to arrive. When I arrived, the first thing that struck me was that the customer waiting area was probably dirtier than the workshop itself. Most of the chairs were so threadbare that they literally had just a few threads remaining. Usually the furniture someone has dumped at the curb is in better shape, more sanitary, and better looking. I didn't even get a chance to try sitting on one because the glass hadn't yet arrived, so we rescheduled for me to return the following morning. I received a call the next morning asking me to delay my arrival for another hour. When I arrived later, the repairmen were out on another job. I had to wait about twenty more minutes despite already having an appointment. The shop is a little unusual in that there is no music or television. I don't mind the quiet, but with the door open between the waiting area and the shop, I was able to see and hear everything. While the physical labor was being done in a professional manner, the lively banter between the two installers was not. I had flashbacks of being in a junior high bathroom while listening to their discussion. Having said this, the quality of the replacement is very good, and the price was less than I expected. It's too bad the customer service was not what I expected, because I would have liked to give Lucas a much better rating.

Nothing needed done to the hood; however, it has a white milky film right over the fender they repaired...we can't tell what that is from. The spoiler/ground effects on the left side of the car must have had to be removed to do the fender work and they did not replace the screw in the front holding it on securely. On the rear bumper, they were not able to get the OEM surplus replacement from the dealer they had thought and wanted to put a brand new one on at three times the cost. We told them to leave the rear alone. When we called to check on the progress of the front, they advised they had already "repaired" the rear spoiler (prior to advising about the additional cost and without approval). We told them to just put it back together; we would take care of it ourselves. When we picked the care up, they had put the rear spoiler back together. We did not realize the repair they had done to the spoiler did not include paint. (Who "repairs" without painting?) While the rear spoiler was intact, the repaired portion was only primered! The car was filthy when we picked it up; so we could not see all the defects. Once we washed it and noticed the defects, we contacted them and were told, "You signed off on it." This appeared to be equivalent to the work of a body shop at a vocational school!
