Was told I needed a new wheel due to there was a crack in my wheel that caused air to leak from my tire. Purchased new wheels from an online merchant, however did not need a new wheel at all. The wheel just required a repair to which I took my vehicle to a rim repair shop in Houston, & boom they welded the crack & my wheel is good as new. If you're reading my review, please seek other opinions if you were told you needed a new wheel etc.. as remember they're in the business of making more money from you by getting you to buy wheels from them that are perhaps unnecessary.. read more

I was in Conroe for a sports competition for my kid. While driving to the site, I hit a curb and caused sidewall damage to my tire. The staff member I worked with was so helpful and got us on our way home in time for us to make our other kid's theatre performance. After having them fill my tires twice in the last month (gratis I might remind you), I came in to have the slow leak looked at. I quickly booked my appointment online and arrived this morning to a room full of other folks with similar issues. I, however, had made mistakenly booked at the other location further down the road. With much chagrin, I was ready to hop in my jalopy and try to make the appointment. But David assured me that their team was moving quick and he could still fit in my repair. In less than 45 minutes they had a 3" nail pulled and patched at NO COST. They even replaced my back wiper blade for a nominal fee. For more than 15 years, and 3 vehicles, I have only bought my tires with Discount because of their excellent service and how quickly they get me back on the road. There are sure to be naysayers and folks with complaints about cost on here. But remember that often time these reviewers are frustrated with the hit to their budget at an unforeseen expense or the delay it makes to their day. As cooler heads prevail, I would hope they can look at their experience through a clearer lens and appreciate the work done. read more

I had always received great service from America's Tire and hoped this would carry over to Discount Tire. I should not have worried, I received the same if not better service from Discount Tire! My experience today well exceeded my expectations! I was able to easily navigate the website to place an order for the tires I needed and drop in a walk in to get them replaced. I was greeted by John K. as soon as I came through the doors and assisted quickly. John K was super friendly and got a nice little deal on windshield wipers. Even though my tires were already bought he explained how tires functions ( in the sense of soft, firm, logetivity etc) and which brands were better for whichever needs. He made sure to let me know he wasn't trying to pressure just educating :) He overheard me talking to my co-worker about our need to get back and how I would find a ride back later to pick it up. He said it wasn't problem and was able to get my car back right away. He said it would take around 20 minutes but to my LITERAL amazement it was done in what felt like maybe 5-10 minutes it was so fast! I was able to get back to work prior to my lunch being over. So I had 2 new tires put on last week, my mistake in hitting a curb. They did pretty good job and in a timely manner considering they are ALWAYS busy. They told me they were going to put the new tires on the front, well they did not. They put them on the back. Kyle Reiman sucks. This place sucks. Prepare for a whole story my apologies. I had just dropped my gf off at the Veterans Affair Clinic down the street when I ran over a bolt/screw of some kind. I headed to this place and they offer to patch it for free and upon their offer I paid extra for them to replace my windshield wipers. Because there was over a three hour wait I had a family member come pick me and her up. No complaint about the wait time, but when I came back my gf realized that the windshield had a 12~"crack in it. Whereas before she did not even have a chip. I went inside, cool as a cucumber because in my mind this is what businesses have insurnace for. I was directed to Kyle Reiman and upon greeting him he was immediately hostile. Before I could even say anything he started talking about how they didn't do it, it wasn't their fault, and he couldn't do anything. He continued to argue with me, and at one point even told me "this type of stuff happens, my truck even got a new crack in the windshield so now I have 3 big ones." I told him that I would like them to fix it and he said it was not their fault and it does not make sense that the windshield would be broken. I agreed that it made very little sense but that since he had possession of my car and keys, it was his responsibility. I also pointed out that the point of origin for the crack was directly underneath one of the windshield wiper "spines" and that it looked like while replacing them they had let it drop resulting in the crack. I continued to argue with him while he attempted to bow up and intimidate me. He said he could do nothing so I asked for a report, and for his card. He sullenly wrote my info and the vin on a piece of paper and immediately after leaving I called corporate to file my own claim. Long story short they denied my claim because I did not have enough proof. Who would have thought I would need to photograph every inch of my car before taking it in for a 5 minute tire and wiper job. Funny enough they didn't care to check their own cameras. Wonder why. Other employees were working hard however we're still polite and smiled customers. I must say I was shocked how nice and professional these guy were. I love Discount tire but this location is the WORST. Long wait times and didn't even do what they said what they were going to do. Had to go all the way back there and was supposed to be "in and out in No time" NOT. Was there for over 2 hours even though I made an appointment. After all that they did not rotate my tires and didn't replace the sensor as the light never went off like he said it would. I need new tires on another vehicle that will run me $2400 and I will 100% buy these from a different location. The North and South 336 locations are busier stores but I have had great experience at both locations. This one, not so much. I would give them ZERO starts if I could. read more

Called around late Friday afternoon hoping to get an early appointment for Saturday and the only place that had a 9am appointment was this location. So I called and Joey answered yes we can make your appointment at 9am. My first impression was this was a smaller location than I was used to going to. I've been to the location in Shenandoah and The Woodlands. As I walk in there was no line and Joey was there ready to check me in. The checkin process was quick. From the very start my experience here was awesome! Justin was the rep that helped me. I simply needed 4 new tires and wanted the same Michelin Defender tires that I apparently previously purchased in 2016 and 89k miles ago. Justin got me all checked in and then the dreaded wait. I drove to Conroe to but a big pontoon boat. The seller said the tires were good. When we arrived we saw 4 of the worst tires in the state of texas on this boat trailer and there was no way these random sized tires were going to make it the 224 mile trip home. Panic stricken I franticly called discount tire at 5:39 PM and they close at 6 and they are 18 min away and we are towing a 30 foot boat and we are not from the area great,,,, the manager and his team were amazing! I gave them my number and they knew who I was from previous discount tire purchases, they put me on the list and said they would wait for us. We slowly made our way over to the location and they were waiting on us with floor jacks and tires. 30 minutes later we were on our way back to Port Aransas with much ease and confidence we would not have a blow out in the dark with no spare oh my!!!! I've been here a few times for flat tire (it's free at Discount Tire). Now, folks say you shouldn't complain about free service because you get what you pay for. Not me! I came Saturday after a flat at the nearby Willis Fair and employees instructed me schedule a repair on Monday due to packed house. I was cool with that and appreciated it. If I could give zero stars I would. I called around looking for a specific tire that I needed replaced, called this store and they said they had 2 in stock. Went out of my way to come here and sat for 2 hours as they put it on. As I was walking out I was told that the tire they put on wasn't the one I needed and they were out (Strike 1). They said the replacement will be in tomorrow and someone will call me. Next day nobody calls. I call them twice and get told it'll be in and they will call me. Nobody ever calls (Strike 2). I call them again the next day and they say it's in. I ask if I need an appointment or anything and they say no, I show up and they proceed to put me at the bottom of the list and make me wait another 2 hours (Strike 3, you're out). Horrible customer service and rush rush attitude from everyone, will never come back to this location. read more

I've used this discount tire for years and the service has been dropping bad ever since Carl left. I started going to the north loop location cause the service is always great. I tried this location one last time cause it was closer. I ordered tires yesterday and they were going to be in by 3 or 4pm but definitely tomorrow morning and they'd call me. He knew I had to be in Ft. Worth this evening. No call last night or this morning. I called at 10, "oh yeah they're here.." I show up by 10:25am and "we gotcha checked in, gonna be 45 min. then 1 hour or so after that" it's 12:40pm and several people were helped around/ahead of me. My truck still hasn't been looked at..I'm no longer buying tires or wheels at Discount Tire after this..the service was terrible but at least they were polite, lol read more
