I've used this discount tire for years and the service has been dropping bad ever since Carl left. I started going to the north loop location cause the service is always great. I tried this location one last time cause it was closer. I ordered tires yesterday and they were going to be in by 3 or 4pm but definitely tomorrow morning and they'd call me. He knew I had to be in Ft. Worth this evening. No call last night or this morning. I called at 10, "oh yeah they're here.." I show up by 10:25am and "we gotcha checked in, gonna be 45 min. then 1 hour or so after that" it's 12:40pm and several people were helped around/ahead of me. My truck still hasn't been looked at..I'm no longer buying tires or wheels at Discount Tire after this..the service was terrible but at least they were polite, lol read more

Had to get two new tires to replace the junk tires I had replaced 2 years ago from a national retail chain that has an automotive shop. Never again! It's Discount Tire from now on. My Customer Service rep Armontre Sneed, was very polite, very professional and explained everything I needed to know about the bad tire and for my two new tires. He thoroughly explained my Road Side Hazard Service and Warranty. I highly recommend Discount Tire wherever you may live because not only was Mr. Sneed polite, professional, and thorough but as I sat in the waiting area I observed the rest of the staff at this location and they were all polite, professional and thorough. Came in for two tires and a rotate. Simple? No. They dismounted my good tires. Rotated my bald tires to the steering axle. I tried to explain the error and the tire installer blew me off. Had to find someone else. The death of common sense. Wasted my morning. read more

So I called on a Tuesday to make an appointment, the tires that are on my car I know aren't normally in stock which is why I scheduled an appointment. I asked for the out the door total so I could budget accordingly and I also asked if they'd be able to get my tire in stock by Thursday which is the day I made the appointment for. They told me the price and told me they think so, I even said "If you can't get it in, you'll call me right?? So that I don't come in for no reason." they said "For sure!" I get there today (Thursday) about an hour before my appointment, I was running ahead of schedule. They said it would be an hour and a half, maybe sooner. That seemed longer than it should be for 1 tire, but ok. Then they ask me if I want to pay at the beginning or the end, I said "I can pay now, that's fine." Then they gave me the total which was $40 more than what I was quoted and I asked why... They told me they don't normally quote the warranty over the phone. I explained that I asked for the "out the door price" and I expected the full price to be given. I told them that the Ford Dealership offered the same price they quoted and to cancel the appointment and I'd go there. They discounted the price down to the amount I was quoted. Which is one of two reason I am even giving them 2 stars. About 40 minutes later... which was better than expected, they came out and told me "Hey!! Your car is ready! But we didn't have your tire in stock like expected but your previous tire was in such bad shape that we went ahead a replaced it with a different tire and we'll call you when the new tire is in and you can come back in and get it put on." - WHAT?!?! I wasn't talked to about this at all prior to the car being pulled around and being handed the keys. I appreciate them putting on the other tire on (which is reason number two of two), but extremely frustrated in their lack of communication. read more

This place is committed to their customers. Even when they are slammed they are courteous and work hard to get you good prices and not waste your time. In times that there are a lot of customers and you are going to be a while they make every effort to make you comfortable and you can look out the window to see there is no slack in the shop. It is constant motion. Dale, the store manager, sets the standard for everyone in the building for having a positive attitude and taking care of the customer needs. Ordered online almost 2 weeks ago shipping is 1-5 business days. Ive now been told 5 different dates of arrival for my order, and still waiting. I'm done buying tires at discount (all locations). I've been using discount tire for years but after using another tire shop I ask myself why? Every time you go in for new tires, tire rotation or a tire repair the wait is always 2+ hours. It's ridiculous when you pay an extra $100+ a tire for warranty and you end up not using, I went to NTB and they fixed my repair for free (I've never even used them before). I ended up going there 3 separate times and ended up buying a new rim for no reason all for a simple flat tire fix. Originally they told me my rim was bent and didn't mention anything about needing a flat repair but told me that the rim SHOULD be fine since they bent it back. The second time I went I had a new rim put on since apparently that was the issue the first time. After going twice to have this fixed my tire was still leaking. Finally I asked to have a specific person look at my tire and they told me that someone did an awful repair job originally and that was the only thing wrong with the tire. I bought a car and it came with tires and wheels that were to big and rubbed with every bump. So the next day I decided to go to discount to get new tires and wheels that fit. The prices were reasonable, it looks great, and it no longer rubs. I did take one star away because it took way longer than they said and they put other cars in front of me that came after me twice. The wait in line can be long SOMETIMES but the employees here are very very efficient and do the best they can with each and every customer! Horrible service. They don't care about the customers at all. We had a flight and our tire was flat. They told us it would take about 30 minutes. They forgot about our car. Instead they were cleaning the garage. At 40 minutes we noticed the car was still parked outside the garage and we asked them what was going on and the guy at the front went to ask them and they said they were gonna get it right now. I hope I don't miss my flight because of them. We've been here for over one hour and it's only one tire change. It's ridiculous. Never coming here again. read more

I had gotten a pretty bad flat while driving to work. Luckily, I made it to Discount Tire. The line was to the door (was a bad day to have a flat I suppose). The guys were busily working to help people and kept assuring us that we would be helped. I didn't wait in line long before I Was helped by a very knowledgeable man, who was able to get me in and out in under 45min! I was shocked. I had expected to be there for awhile. He knew I had my daughter with me and that we were on our way to work when this happened (I think he rushed us to the front of the line). I thank him for his calm/no problem attitude (as it made me relax during a stressful moment) and his professionalism. Thank you Discount Tire for your awesome service (as always). This has to be the BEST DTS I've ever been to. I have bought sets of tires for all my vehicles here. Service is great! Even with tires you haven't bought there they will check pressure, patch and repair nails and rotate at NO COST!!! The best thing....they won't try to scam you and sell something you don't need. I HATE this discount tire. The manager is an ass & the employees move so slow & have no hustle in them. Usually when you go to Discount Tire, you see all the employees out back busting butt, not here. They clearly don't care about the job & do not have a good manager. Usually discount tires are busy because a lot of people need tires replaced. Not this one. They just work really slow. 1 person working 6 joking around not really doing anything. Took them 55mins to replace 1 tire and rotate and balance this persons normal standard truck. The one who's actually working turned out 3 cars during this time. read more
