BE AWARE AND GET A SECOND OPINION!!!!!!…read more I brought my car (Hyundai Sonata) in to have my air conditioning system looked at because it wasn't blowing cold air let alone cool air just air. I had a thought of what it MIGHT be, but I wanted to have it looked at to discover the root of the problem. After like thirty or forty minutes they told me it was low on Freon. So I'm no expert I just have experience with cars' AC systems and what could happen over periods of time, they could reload the Freon and I be on my way in about an hour, they also offered to clean out the tube to clean out any mold that might be there, but I respectfully declined, they waived the diagnostic fee of $185, I paid $504 for the Freon refill, and I was on my way. Now a week later, my car's air conditioning was starting to blow cold air only on the passenger side and now just air like it did before I had the Freon refilled. So I took my car to the dealership and asked for a diagnostic of the air conditioning system along with a safety recall and we had an answer. It turns out it was the AC evaporator, which was the initial problem because they did a full check. What I mean is that in order to get this figured out they had to run dye through the system to find leaks and remove the windshield and dashboard in order to find the problem. Now this Goodyear, their technician ran dye through the system and DID NOT advise me further about it possibly being something more. When I brought this to them, they did not take me seriously, acted like they saved the dealership an extra step, and told me that they do not do this kind of extensive check because they don't like to throw parts at their customers or due to the size of my car (I have a Hyundai Sonata it not huge but not like a coupe or a Fiat), they also said the dealership cheated on their diagnosis because they used their dye that was still there in order to find the problem, and because of them waiving the diagnostic fee one of their guys did not get paid properly (and based on the technician's response to that it sounds like it had happen before). The technician that was helping me took the quote from the dealership and worked the numbers to beat the quote given and the best they would do was $300 less than the dealership which was almost $3000 and they could do it in one day instead of two days which they probably thought would seal the deal with me and the fact that the manufacturer's guide says it only takes less than a day. All I could think was "NO WAY", they already tried to hide an issue that they decided not to check despite putting dye in my car to check it but refused to touch the inside of my car to possibly find the issue before I even spent the money, when they also claimed their AC technician is the best in the company, well you're not touching my car again and potentially squeezing me for more money. All they cared about was citing their own policy and gloating in the fact that the dealership "got help" from them because they had already put the dye in my car to find the problem.

The gentleman who answered the phone told me that they could fit me in at 9 a.m., and from there, it was a matter of approximately 30 minutes for one of the men there to jack up my car, remove the tire, find the location of the leak, fix it, and remount the tire to my car. There were TWO pieces of metal that had caused the problem, which surprised me, as I hadn't known that was even possible! Lol The price for all that was very reasonable, in my opinion, and if -- when, really -- I have that or any other tire-related issue, I will absolutely call Royal Tire Service again! They also stated that my hood was never opened by them, but after I provided camera footage showing otherwise, the response changed to saying they "so we can't open the hood?"They refused to fix the damage and even threatened to remove me from the property for trespassing instead of trying to resolve the issue. They also refused to provide any video proof showing when they opened my hood.Thankfully, I had my own camera footage and was able to see a mechanic pushing something back into place, which raises even more questions. Their own before pictures don't show the damage being present before the work was done, and the difference between their photos and how my car looked afterward is clear.I know my car was not like this before I brought it in. I wouldn't waste my time making a complaint over something I knew was already there. All I wanted was for them to take responsibility and fix what happened. They also brought up unrelated information about body shops and clips, but that doesn't change the fact that before I went there, my hood opened normally without anything popping out. This place was organized as far as getting customers in as walk in , with appointments etc. They had a hand held machine to control traffic and to help customers ease the wait time to be serviced. They will ask for your name and phone number and the text message will route you when they are ready to service you. They spoke to me that since i had warranty cards on my 4 tires that my payment will be about $14 if I needed a new tire (1) . After they took my car in - They resolved the issue as a valve issue and they replaced the tire valve and it was a free service. The frustrating part about this was the icon was still lit up. So they informed me to give it about 15-20 mins and the icon should be gone. Well I drove the car nearby and it still was there - the icon. So I went back to the location and told them I will need this cleared because I was not comfortable driving with tire issues after leaving them. I waited until a staff assisted me clearing the icon. So far the icon did not pop up. I also noticed that the staff says things that is not there - example - i requested my receipt to be EMAILED to me and the employee stated it was emailed. So I waited enough that the email was not popping up on my inbox. Come to find out - the system NEVER HAD MY EMAIL ADDRESS. So i asked the employee - how did u send the receipt without my email address in the system? He then asked another employee STEPS to email my receipt AFTER HE ASKED ME MY EMAIL ADDRESS. He looked like a new employee because he didnt know steps on such a thing as far as his tasks. Overall this place is not bad its the fact that I drove off still having the icon lit up after they fixed the issue and not being honest about having my email address.
