On the evening of Thursday, December 19, 2019, I went to Goodyear Tire in Haines City, Florida to have a spare tire mounted on a rim. The Goodyear representative by the name Angel immediately assisted, mounted and balanced the tire. What stood out most and caught my attention at this particular location were all the associates greeting me with genuine smiles, positive attitudes, and a healthy dose of customer appreciation. Maybe it was a perfect day for the shop and its staff, or perhaps they are always very kind and courteous? Regardless, it was a great experience to have. BE AWARE AND GET A SECOND OPINION!!!!!! I brought my car (Hyundai Sonata) in to have my air conditioning system looked at because it wasn't blowing cold air let alone cool air just air. I had a thought of what it MIGHT be, but I wanted to have it looked at to discover the root of the problem. After like thirty or forty minutes they told me it was low on Freon. So I'm no expert I just have experience with cars' AC systems and what could happen over periods of time, they could reload the Freon and I be on my way in about an hour, they also offered to clean out the tube to clean out any mold that might be there, but I respectfully declined, they waived the diagnostic fee of $185, I paid $504 for the Freon refill, and I was on my way. Now a week later, my car's air conditioning was starting to blow cold air only on the passenger side and now just air like it did before I had the Freon refilled. So I took my car to the dealership and asked for a diagnostic of the air conditioning system along with a safety recall and we had an answer. It turns out it was the AC evaporator, which was the initial problem because they did a full check. What I mean is that in order to get this figured out they had to run dye through the system to find leaks and remove the windshield and dashboard in order to find the problem. Now this Goodyear, their technician ran dye through the system and DID NOT advise me further about it possibly being something more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I brought this to them, they did not take me seriously, acted like they saved the dealership an extra step, and told me that they do not do this kind of extensive check because they don't like to throw parts at their customers or due to the size of my car[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (I have a Hyundai Sonata it not huge but not like a coupe or a Fiat), they also said the dealership cheated on their diagnosis because they used their dye that was still there in order to find the problem, and because of them waiving the diagnostic fee one of their guys did not get paid properly (and based on the technician's response to that it sounds like it had happen before). The technician that was helping me took the quote from the dealership and worked the numbers to beat the quote given and the best they would do was $300 less than the dealership which was almost $3000 and they could do it in one day instead of two days which they probably thought would seal the deal with me and the fact that the manufacturer's guide says it only takes less than a day. All I could think was "NO WAY", they already tried to hide an issue that they decided not to check despite putting dye in my car to check it but refused to touch the inside of my car to possibly find the issue before I even spent the money, when they also claimed their AC technician is the best in the company, well you're not touching my car again and potentially squeezing me for more money. STAY AWAY from this place if you want to remain with your life in tact. Not being dramatic but these people literally almost killed me and my two year old son on the highway. I went in for an oil change and to rotate my tires... I left and noticed for about a week that any time I'd reach 70 to 75 mph my car would start shaking. So I called them about 10 days after service to make an appointment, the same day I made the appointment, the tire exploded on the highway I had to change it myself. So I called them to ask what was going on come to find out the lady tells me that my two back tires needed to be replaced the sensor in The same tire that exploded had no sensor and the other sensors were low...so when I called to ask what was going on the lady told me that she wasn't even there that day and she doesn't even know what was going on. Thankfully I recognized her voice and described her physical appearance from head to toe where she then changed her answer and said "oh yeah I was here but the mechanics didn't relay that message to me so that I can let you know that your sensors needed to be fixed and your two back tires were bald" so me and my son literally almost died because of these people and when I speak to the manager, he gets on the phone with this rude condescending attitude , so I flipped out and hung up because the ridiculous flood of excuses pouring from his rude mouth had me disgusted. so do not ever allow any of your family members to come to this location because they do not care about your safety and they just want to get money and get people in and out of the door and with reading all of these other reviews I just think it's crazy this place is still even open for business because they really shouldn't be. I'll never EVER take my car back there again. I've been a loyal customer for well over 5 yrs and that went out the door. Long story short. I had an oil change done on my vehicle and that was it. Went to pick it up and within a quarter of a mile my car started to act up such as the oil light, engine light going on and white smoke blasting from the exhaust. I called Goodyear and they had a young tech drive up and inspect the vehicle. He insisted the oil was replaced and said there may be an under lying issue with my car. Had to get it towed back to the shop and guess what I was charged for the tow.. I had to talk to the head manager Adam Cutler to get a refund. Moving forward. My car was left in their hands for the next couple days and they insisted the car was fine.. I drove off and ran into the same EXACT issue. My car was not looked at bc I made sure to take a picture of the odometer for my records. Adam insisted that my car was test drove. ALL LIES. He said there may be a faulty ignition coil or spark plugs. I had them replaced and ran into the same exact problems. With nothing getting handled I had my car towed to a dealership. Within 2hrs they were able to narrow down the cause. GOODYEAR NEVER CHANGED MY OIL. ALL THEY DID WAS TOP IT OFF!!! With them doing that it flooded my whole engine. All my coils, spark plugs and exhaust were damaged. Moving forward... the dealership gave me a quote and I reached out to Adam Cutler to fix this problem. He nonchalantly basically shrugged it off and from there I personally had to make a claim with Goodyear on paying for the damages. My car eventually got fixed but my car is no longer the same. Check engine light is on due to the damaged exhaust that Goodyear will not pay for. All in all a basic oil change turned into a 3k bill. God knows how many other customers they ripped off by using these lazy tactics. This was roughly 3 months ago and I have yet to even get a follow up from Adam Cutler. If I could take away stars and give them a negative number for incompetency, I absolutely would give them a -10. Long story short two months ago. I had to buy new tires for the back of my van. I have an issue with my back axle which today I was going to get fixed by somebody else. The lug nut on one of the back tires was cross threaded thanks to Goodyear. So I had to run the van all the way down to Goodyear to have them fix their screw up. Keep in mind that I've already dropped my husband off at his work and I am driving his car. So now I have a car where my van should've been so that I could drive the van 20 miles to Goodyear. I told them it's probably going to need new tires again because the cords are showing on the inside. I gave them my phone number to call me directly. They call me directly to tell me they fixed the lug nut issue that they caused. I asked about the tires, "we didn't know anything about the tires." I said I'm going to need new tires because there's cord showing. He's like well that's what happens when they're two years old and you haven't had them rotated. No they're only a couple months old. He was looking at the information for my 2015 van not the 2017. After being on hold for a while he said he would call back because he was trying to figure out where the information for my newer van is. He calls back it's under some random lady's name. No idea who she is. OK let's get it taken care of and tires. When they finish, they call my father-in-law. Who's number is on the account, who then Texted my mother-in-law who then doesn't see it for an hour. So I go to pick up the vehicle after he goes through his paperwork. I am there with debit card in hand ready to pay for the new tires. He gives me the paperwork everything is good. I'm like what about the tires? Oh, we didn't do tires I wasn't told about tires. At that point, I was already late picking up my daughter for school because of their screwup that I had to get fixed so I left. I called on my way to pick up my daughter to express my irritation of their incompetency and I get the woman that works in the front. All she can do is give excuses and is about as helpful as tits on a bull. Which is what I thought of her last time I was there. Long story short don't waste your time or money. Now I cannot get what I originally was getting fixed on the van done today because it's too late in the day. So I have to take it in on yet another day off which is next week. Nail in your tire, you need an appointment! I went to my local Goodyear, at 100 Maxcy Plaza Cir, Haines City, FL 33844, with a nail in my tire that I noticed at my previous stop. The young man at the counter told me he had to check with the manager to see if they could help as it was Sunday and he did not want to work them too hard. It was about 1:30pm of Sunday and they close at 6:00pm. I was told the manager stated I need an appointment, this without even taking a look at the tire I was driving on. I have been driving for over 45 years and Goodyear has always been my go to place for tires. They might not be the cheapest, but they always had the best service. Never in all those years have I ever been sent away with a nail in my tire till that day. When Goodyear states that their goal is "to exceed our customers' expectations" and "with the desire to ensure better safety for drivers, protection for loved ones and a contribution to a safer environment", I find it disappointing that one of their corporate stores, and specifically their Service Manager, would be the one kicking me aside because I did not have an appointment for a nail in my tire. Some service. Something has changes at this store that my wife and I have been going to for more than 15 years. That change is the management. Service since then new service Manager Adam Pearson arriving has taken longer and I always get an "I don't give a shit" vibe from him. read more

I went to this location for a Turo Inspection on January 21st 2022. The inspection took an hour and they said my third break light was out and I would have to book another appointment for the inspection, I said no problem, changed the light bulb that same day and booked the appointment for January 25th at 10 am. 72 hours later I come back and start my inspection, a little over an hour later the guy comes in and says "well I'm sorry to break it to you but your ball joints are all bad and your windshield wipers need to be replaced, we cant pass you unless we get that taken care of." I mention to the mechanic host "I was here 2-3 days ago and they said I only needed to change my 3rd brake light, I don't understand what's going on" and the mechanic host says "do you have the paper work?" and I said yes in the car, so we get the paperwork and I point out how they passed me all of that last inspection, the mechanic host walks to a back office to the manager and comes back and says "look after 2-3 months things can ware down and it seems your ball joints have reached that point" I reply back, "I'm sorry I think you misunderstood me, I was here 2-3 days ago, as in 48 to 72 hours ago, not months, nothing wares down like that and I haven't driven the vehicle since the last inspection." the mechanic host says "well it looks like the last mechanic didn't check that and the new mechanic did" which I mention "why are the mechanics doing different inspections if they are licensed? why are they not following the Turo inspection checklist and instead doing their own inspection?" the mechanic host begins to lie at this point in response mentioning "the mechanic stopped the checklist after he noticed the 3rd brake light out" I respond "why would he pass my steering mechanism if he skipped it?" which the mechanic host gets frustrated at this point and says "look I cant pass you without the balljoints and wipers changed", and I told him to release my vehicle and I left. This was complete fraudulent activity, *I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION* as they are only focused in racking up a bill for clients and Turo hosts. I suggest Turo not work with such a company having this type of activity, behavior, and lack of integrity. this place was an utter disgrace. I have had 2 mechanics with over 20-25 years of experience check my balls joints and they are perfectly fine, no vibration, no squeaks or sounds, no rust, in perfect functioning condition that'll last 5-10 years. this location tried to scam me into changing good working condition parts. my wipers were changed less then 3-4 months ago and function perfectly in raining weather. these people lied through their teeth thinking I was an uninformed individual and instead of assisting me after I was polite and corrected such behavior, they continued their con artist pitch. again I would not recommend this location and the employees and mechanics should be evaluated for such conduct. read more

I was impressed by their on-line appointment application when I made a 2:30 appointment for an oil change. But that's where the positive experience with Goodyear Auto Service ended. When I arrived at the shop, the service representative said there was no record of my appointment. When I showed them the e-mail I had received confirming the appointment the service representative said that it happens all the time. People make appointments online and they are unable to find a record of it when they arrive. The service representative told me that they would honor my appointment and my car would be ready in about an hour. I left my car with them and returned an hour later only to find that they had not even started the oil change. The service representative apologized but could not tell me when they would be able to do the work on my car. Rather than wait for who knows how long, I just asked for my keys and took my car to an instant oil change shop down the road and was in and out in 15 minutes. Recommendation for Goodyear Auto Service in Haines City -- Don't offer appointments if you are unable to honor them and don't make commitments that you can't keep. read more

They have become dishonest at this location. Recent reviews by others also shows this is a big problem with them. Avoid them if you want to prevent them from over charging you and breaking expensive car parts to jack up the bill. I have been going to this location for a while now and they appear to have many new people who are extremely dishonest. I went there because on my lexus GS 430 every once in a while one engine coil goes bad and I was okay with the service and prices until today and had the worst car customers service in my life. Goodyear as soon as I walked in there wanted to charge me $69.00 diagnostic which they never charged me for before. Then when they looked at it said two coils were bad and wanted to over charge me over $400.00! (Paid much less elsewhere) I think when they were tested the coils they switched them and damaged a second coil. The mechanic told me as part of the test they switch the coils and had damaged a second one when they did this!. Instead of being honest they lied to me and tried to rip me off! Now I have 2 bad coils instead of one. The chance of 2 of them going bad at the same time is very unlikely. The mechanic screwed up but would not admitt it. They scammed me! I asked to speak to the Manager and they said he does not want to speak to me. Then this lady who appeared to be a customer maybe she knew someone who worked there said she was going to call the Police on me! The Goodyear Person said you heard her leave now! After confirming from reliable sources it is quite rare to have more than one ignition coil go bad at a specific time since it had happened at 1:00 PM Friday and just drove it with only a few miles on Saturday to this Goodyear that would be almost impossible. So the people at that Goodyear saying that two coils going bad at the same time was common was an outright lie! They had wanted me to pay them $69.00 before releasing my car but after the lady said she would call the Police they said I did not have to pay the $69.00. The lady was not trying to help me and I think if they did show up their explanation of 2 coils failing at the same time might look like Fraud! Now I have to pay double for two coils instead of one which all it should be! Also they were taking advantage of an older person and said we do not have those same two tires anymore but another two and it will cost you $800.00 for two. This location is now very dishonest. Called Good Year Nation wide customer service on Tuesday when they were open to make a complaint how dishonest and poorly I was treated. The regional manager they said will be getting back to me. So far the Regional Goodyear Manager has not got back to me even though he said he would, but below I will file a formal complaint with several government agencies if they do not solve this soon which you can also do as well for this dishonest Goodyear location. We have literally used this service location dozens of times with four vehicles. The front desk and waiting area are always clean and organized, and you will be greeted with a smile. Barb F., or one of the other managers, always assure that we understand exactly what needs to be done and explains the costs upfront. The estimate has always been accurate. plus or minus ten percent. No one enjoys getting a large maintenance bill but the pricing is fair, and the service is dependable. In all these years, we have never had a complaint or concern with the care of our vehicles. Don't waste your time. Called before hand to see if there was availability for an oil change and a plug for a tire. Have a fleet account so they took it upon themselves to try and get multiple things replaced that I recently had done. This is no surprise as service places always do this to make money, worst part for me is they had me vehicle for 2 full days causing me to lose work for both days when they said it would be done on the first day before end of day. Never called once to update about work. Called twice for them to give me wrong information both times. Not by half an hour or even one hour. 2 hours the first day and second day waited more then 7 hours. Worst customer service I have ever seen. Sat in lobby for 4 hours waiting while also listening to them continuously keep telling people something happened and it would take longer or more things needed to be done. Went in to get a tire changed. Guy said 1hr. So i went home and came back in an hr. He said he forgot about my car so it was still sitting in the parking lot. At first he was doing the wrong tire and then he was in my trunk looking for my wheel lock key when i told him it was in the cup holder. So another hr goes by and he finally done. I was in need of a tire repair. My Goodyear tire had a screw in it and was slowly leaking. When entering, the place was clean and plenty of sanitizer (due to COVID ). The attendant at the desk was pleasant BUT she tried to sell me a tire that I did not need. Fortunately, the manger responded to the desk and addressed me. They repaired my leaking tire with a plug and added air to all my tires as needed. Then the invoice came and the job was FREE! To my amazement! I gave a nice tip to the desk.
