My car needed new tires so I went here when I noticed they weren't super busy yet. The workers were very nice and quickly got my tires on. Sadly, they scraped 3 of my wheels somehow and it took off paint as well as scraping the actual wheel. I'm not sure how it happened but it was disappointing to find when I took it home. Not only was Seth attentive he was able to get me in and out just 60min or so later. During the process Seth informed me that a safety maintenance issue was found. Jesse was awesome on the phone very pleasant and helpful but when I got to discount tires on Saturday the customer service sucks. 2 guys came in and looked at me as if I were a damn statue, didn't ask have you been helped ma'am or we will be right with you I had to ask hello can I get some help here. The guy finally went and got Mannis to help. Mannix was apologetic and helped us right away. I am not sure if it's because they're a bunch of men with no clue on customer but they could use a training class in customer service or maybe cause I wasn't a white lady. If i could give 0 stars, I would. This place has tried to scam me both times I went. First time was a couple years ago, i had a nail in my tired, waited for them to remove the tire to check it out, and they came back saying they cant patch it because i need to buy new tires because my tread was bad...the car was pretty new, i dont drive a lot. I got it patched right in front of me shortly after by my dad's friend in 2 minutes, he didn't even need to remove the tire. Second time was last week, i had another's nail in my tire, this is a new/different car only 13k miles on it. They took 1 hour to tell me theres 2 nails near each other so its not patchable. I took my car somewhere else, they fixed it in 10 minutes. There was a big nail and little nail, not right next to each other, as they claimed. The point is they still fixed it and patched the tire twice, and i didnt need to buy a new tire. The scam is they try to tell you its not fixable so you can buy new tires from them, but both cars i brought in had just fine, drivable tires. Honestly go to evans tires instead, they wont give you as hard a time. read more

So I came for the free tire air check because I thought I might have a problem. As I waited I heard someone yell " fill her tires up to 50 pounds so they explode. " (I thought that was pretty shitty.) Someone greeted me and was nice and came over and put air in. When I went home and checked my tires with a gauge just to be sure and all of them were 50 pounds or more. I drive a little 97 Toyota Corolla and have bought tires through discount tire further car and many of my other cars over the last 30 years living here in San Diego.That's not the way to take care of a customer. 11/09, 2019, I took my 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited into the Rancho San Diego store on Jamacha Rd. I was greeted by the manager Christopher Munday. Christopher was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, respectful and took my tire issue serious. Christopher asked me if I had a certain brand of tire in mind and I told him yes, Michelin! He told me he had the tires in stock and that he could have them installed immediately. I bought 4 Premium Michelin tires and I can't say enough good things about my new tires! I immediately noticed was how much better my car handled with these Premium Michelin tires, along with hearing a lot less road noise and how much better my car stopped. These tires are amazing! 09/15/20 I was amazed with the customer service I received from Menneix, who wrote my order and inspected my damaged tire, not only did he addressed the tire to be replaced but inspected the other 3 tires. He's great friendly personality was a reassurance that he was there to make the customer satisfied. The young men Andreaous who serviced the car and gave me the final instructions on the service provided was an added plus. Good job to the Manager of that store. I am happy to say that this business has made a lot of changes due to Covid and I feel they are now better than before. They are faster, more organized, more focused, and just sharper in every way. I'd been a long time costumer of this place and I had been satisfied with them.. until today.. went to firestone to get my tpsi checked.. not only did they checked it but they fixed it by inflating my tires and adjusted something FOR FREE.. the same issue I had that Discount tire checked and wanted to charge me 240 for replacing all four of my tpsi instrument.. supposedly all four were not working and needs replacement according to them. I used to come to this location to buy tires for all of my vehicles.Recently,I have tried to buy tires there for my BMW vehicles.They have really inexperienced workers answering the phones.I tried to buy tires that were more of a speciality Pirelli tire and it was too tough of a task for the kid answering the phone.I went to the BMW dealer and they had no problem.I did decide to give them another chance again for my son's car.This time I called and one of the workers told me they wouldn't order the tires for me and I had to come in person.Again,I took my business elsewhere.I did end up getting my tires that day from a different business.They also ordered them over the phone for me.I won't be returning here. read more

My tire was getting low quickly after I filled it up for 2 days so I decided to take it in and by the time I got there my tire was almost completely flat. They were very kind, especially Juan Garcia. I've never made a yelp review but I felt they deserved every great thing that can be said! Last Thursday, I had a tire light flashing on/off right when I got off work. Luckily, I was able to stop in at the Rancho location and Joshua was working. He checked the tire pressure(all good) but then when he discovered the light was flashing, he brought out another tool to test things. Apparently, I need new tire sensors! Argh!
