What a miracle. I hit a curve on the wet pavement on Friday going out in search for a Christmas gift. Thanks to having a man in the car with me that knew some people. I made it to a mechanic going 7 miles per hour on my bent rim. I had just bought the car used like 5 or 6 months ago from a dealership. It did not have a spare tire in it when I bought it but the first thing I did, with my mom and dad's help, was order a new rim and a new tire for backup. The next day the part was fixed and mechanic just needed a new tire. We showed up early to get the spare out to have a new tire put on it and discount did it in like 1.5 hours as soon as the car fixer called to see where we were discount was done with the tire. This is the worst company to deal with! They will lift your car in the wrong spot and do damage and say they didn't do it. They did $1,700 damage on my car because they lifted in the wrong spot. Then the tires I originally ordered they lost a tire. They had all my tires off before they found out. I had to go with something else since they had them off already. My tire light came on. A customer service rep checked and filled my tires - no charge. He also recommended I consider new tires before winter, for my safety. My husband already noticed that the tread is dangerously low. So I appreciate the customer service rep pointing out the potential hazard without any pressure at all to make a purchase right then. I have terrible luck with tires. I have blown off two d/t road conditions and "smoked" a few more. This location has been amazing. They're always nice and helpful. They've squeezed me in since I've had to frequent more often than I'd like to be. There work is quick and they explain everything. Not that I'm cheap with my tires but they also have reasonable pricing that doesn't break the bank. The tire warranty is on file and they've always made repairs quick. Absolutely horrible service from the assistant manager at Evansville hershland road. He asked to take a look at my flat tire and before looking asked me why I came 10 minutes before he closes. The manager then said he does not know the tone his assistant said it in.. so there is somehow an appropriate tone to ask that?!? We had a blowout because of a pothole. We had just purchased new tires from discount tires in Tx. The Evansville branch replaced our tire with a temporary tire (?). Charged us 24$ and sent us on our way. Amazing. They were fast, courteous, efficient and nice. This is the reason you shop at a brick and mortar store. Imagine how that would have been if we had ordered tires online. Ours are extremely expensive, low profile tires. It was easy to be tempted. That will never ever happen. Noticed a nail in one of my tires, went to five different places and was told they could not get my vehicle in at all that day. Went to Discount Tire in Evansville, Indiana and was told that they could have it repaired in an hour and a half (they were fairly busy) which was acceptable. My son and I observed their work from outside, they repaired the tire, rebuilt the TPMS sensor, and rebalanced the wheel, all without charge! And within the promised time frame! I've had plenty of issues with my tires, most recent being having nails in multiple tires. I went in, gave them my info, and they got me set up and out of there as soon as possible. The lounge is incredibly clean and comfortable. The staff is so friendly and willing to help. After i bought 2 Hankook tires from them I read the date code on them it said 1116 which means 2016. These tires were 3 years old. The salesman told me that tires are good for 10 years which is complete BS. I returned the tires and got my money back went to another place and got the same tire made in 2018. Read your date codes, look for the DOT on the tire after that there is 4 numbers stamped into the tire. The first 2 numbers is the week they were made the second 2 numbers is the year. read more
