I also explained that I only had about two hundred dollars in the bank to live on for the rest of this month.. I told them that I needed it just looked at and they should just give me an estimate of how much these things would cost to fix. They came up with some ridiculous amount and stated that they still actually don't know what is wrong.. So in other words, They ran the tests they came up with nothing conclusive, but they are giving me these ridiculous amounts to repair. They don't even know is wrong. They charged me a $124 Just to look at it They did not tell me they were going to charge me that much just to look at it, told me that they basically still don't know what's wrong with it. And came up with all these ridiculous beyond reasonable to repair cost. And he didn't tell me it was gonna cost $124 just to look at it If I would have known that I wouldn't have done it I wouldn't have even let them look.. I'm angry and these beautiful reviews. You see. No, they're either friends or their employees.nThey're not real.. Because this was a horrible and disgusting experience. I got there at 9 o'clock in the morning.I didn't get out of there until twelve o'clock in the afternoon And like I said he didn't tell me that it was gonna cost me $124. just for them to look at it.. I took in 2 brand new, still in the box, wheels, and wanted my tires mounted on them. They did that…read morefor a decent price. But that is where the good part stops. When I showed up at 7:05am, the service manager (whatever his name is, he wears those green magnetic glasses), told me that he couldn't get it done until later in the day. There was no one there in line to have their vehicle worked on, and mine was a 15 minute job at BEST. So I told him that I wanted them mounted on the front, but there was some miscommunication, because they wound up on the rear. When I got back home, I looked at the wheels, and they had rolled steel where they tightened the lug nuts, scratches, and dings down to bare metal. I of course took it back and alerted them of my concerns. I was not asking for my money back, and I was even planning on bringing in more wheels to have balanced, but then this same service manager from earlier tells me that I'm getting a refund and to "not come back here again." As you can guess, I was surprised. I have never been told that by a business who depends on their customers returning! So the service manager and I went back and forth for a minute about how that my BRAND NEW wheels were messed up, and that he claims that it's not their fault. He also told me that in all his years there, he had never seen me before (I have been a customer there since I started driving), and that what I paid for the wheels was absolutely ridiculous ($55/wheel). As I was leaving, I stated that after some consideration, it was a good thing that they gave me my money back, so that I didn't have to ask for it. To which the service manager replied: "is that a threat?" I laughed and said "no, not at all, just happy that I didn't waste my money on useless service." They have absolutely no care or thought for urgency, quality, or customer service. I am blown away that this "hometown business" has survived as long as they have with customer service like this.

I've been so pleased with my brake job there that I had them change my oil, and even though that's a simple job, some places can mess that up. But Farrar did a great job. So now I'm leaving for new horizons, retiring out of state. I have to drive miles to my retirement home. I brought my car in to have the belts, fluid levels and tires, etc checked for the trip. They were so sweet when I messed up and spaced out my appointment! They got me in the next day & didn't even charge me!
