I followed in the footsteps of my friend Joy & joined a program at Discover Medical Center in Spring Grove for Regenerative Knee therapy about 5 weeks ago. I've had one knee replacement & was bone on bone in the other knee & my leg was so badly deformed from a collapsed knee, I was in constant pain. I couldn't put weight on that leg & could hardly walk. My knee would buckle on me constantly. I felt like I was facing a future in a wheelchair. The program consisted of 3 platelet rich plasma knee injections, using your own blood & an umbilical cord stem cell injection to help regrow your knee cartiledge. They used a heel wedge in my shoe to shift the bones & straighten my leg. Well a little over a month out, I have to say I am super impressed with the results so far & it could still take up to a year for the cartiledge to completely regenerate. My leg is significantly straighter & I have so much less pain. Almost pain free at times. So much better than my surgically fixed knee that still hurts. I'm walking faster, able to start putting weight on it climbing stairs & able to work out with ankle weights on. Something I haven't been able to do in years! In just over a month!!! I have never been to a chiropractor before Dr. Darrin so I was not sure what to expect. For years I have been having back pain, neck pain and headache/ migraines for many years. I was literally just sick and tired of the pain. My husband recommend him because he was going there at that time and I was noticing that he was feeling better. So on my first day, I was greeted by Kim and Mary who explained how everything works. First day, just my info. X-rays, my history and a health plan. Then we started my care plan that was tailored to my needs to get me on track. Kim and Mary are just amazing and know there stuff. My husband and I absolutely love them!!! For 3 days a week I go in and see Dr. Darrin and every time I'm done, I'm better than the day before! He isn't just a "feel good" chiropractor and sends you on your way. He honestly cares about people's well being and that is something you don't fine much of these days. I'm 33 and feel like I'm 21. No joke. I'm a much happier women. I'm not tired anymore, I get a full nights sleep, and just have a clearer mind. No more back pain or neck pain, and my headaches are a lot less than before and we're not done yet! Dr. Darrin and his staff are top notch. If you need corrective care like I do you want to make sure the person manipulating your spine is very well educated and practiced. Dr. Darrin graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College which is widely considered the best in the world. The office staff are genuinely attentive and very considerate of your time. During the initial consultation Dr. Darrin explained my subluxations in a way that made sense to me with great visuals. I was having headaches on a regular basis so much so that when Dr. Darrin was going over my medical history history I forgot to mention them. Headaches had just become a normal part of my existence. During the initial exam Dr. Darrin was checking my neck and stopped to ask me why I didn't tell him I was having headaches. He knew simply by examining my neck that I must have been experiencing headaches. I had to laugh and say they just seemed to be part of my routine anymore. After a few adjustments I can honestly say I now remember what it's like to be able to think clearly and not have to eat NSAID's. There are actually quite a few Chiropractors in the Spring Grove area but Dr. Darrin is the only one I want adjusting my spine.
