When I went to see Dr. Ryan, I had been having pains in my neck, shoulders, and traps for about a solid 5 years or so. I figured it had to do with form in the gym or from not taking care of myself. After receiving massage therapy and only feeling temporary relief, I went to see Dr. Ryan. After taking x-rays of my full spine and studying them, he came up with a treatment plan that worked for me. Dr. Ryan was extremely flexible with my schedule and motivated me to stay on track with treatment not only in his office but with at home treatments as well. While in the office, Dr. Ryan gave me multiple exercises (that I would was able to do both there and at home) and he modified them as needed. Additionally, I had traction work. This is very unique and works on permanent correction, not just a temporary fix. I worked my way up on traction for a few months. Within 2 weeks, my pain diminished massively. Within two months, I was in no pain and no longer restricted during activity. When I started, I had a reversed curve of the cervical spine and was in constant pain. By the end of my treatments with Dr. Ryan, I no longer had a reversal of the cervical spine; in fact, it was on the way to having a 42 degree curve like it should. I was no longer in pain either. Months later, I went to get re x-rayed and they found that the my results had improved even further (with the help of at home treatments). I have been working with Dr. Ryan Winslow since last March. I have significant back issues, including Scoliosis, for a number of years. Dr. Ryan Winslow is full of knowledge from different aspects physical therapist , personal trainers and other chiropractors. This really help me, when i first met Dr. Ryan my neck was in bad shape not being able to tilt my head without pain. Dr. Ryan seemed very motivated to help me out asking all the right questions not just involving my neck. He really took his time to get as much information to make a custom plan to really help me improve. He showed me different exercises i can do at home not just for my neck. Finding a chiropractor that isn't only about adjusting you and getting you out the door is harder to find now a days. I feel like most doctors just see you as a chart and symptoms and not as an actual person. Dr. Ryan is far from that. He takes TIME with each and everyone of his patients. From his exam the first time seeing him to the following appointment where he goes over everything that he found in the X-rays (taken in house by Dr. Ryan). OMG! Thank god for Dr Ryan. For the past week my neck has been wrenched in one direction, I couldn't look left or right. I went to see Dr. Ryan at his new Gurnee office (which is AWESOME!) he was kind and attentive, he really listened to the problem and was thorough with his thoughts.
