Also, he really seems to genuinely love each person in the church. Music is lively! People are friendly; like a family. This church seems to have lots of fun activities going on! There is a real focus on church for the children. Last, but not least, one can really feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in this church during the service!!

I have been attending Calvary Life Church now for over a year, I have been to many other churches…read moresince I moved here five years ago from Hawaii and to tell you the truth,I have never felt the Holy Spirit so strongly then I have ever felt here at Calvary, the people are very kind and thoughtful, nothing but Gods presence overflows through the ministry and the pastor , and the brothers and sisters here...There truly is the moving of the Holy Spirit here...you can feel His love and goodness and mercy. I was filled with the Holy Spirit in Nov.2013 and was baptized in Jesus name on Jan the 6 2014. Gods word is so powerful, and I have chosen to be a follower and not a fan.. The Lord surely speaks through our Pastor and gives us only Gods truth for our lives...Pastor White truly cares for the flock that he has been given, our future is his commitment,to see that we all be lead to eternity with Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. I have been going to this church for almost 20 years. This church is a bible based church and does…read morenot waiver from it. It is a love, caring, and compassionate church. I met my wife of 7 years at this church and we are currently raising our 3 year old in the church. This church has become a family to us. They have so many activities for children of all ages, along with any classes for adults. I could not imagine attending any other church.

I was initially excited about finding this church and thought we found our church family…read more However, Father Raul was very unwelcoming and just rude. It's taking me a while to write this because as a lifelong Catholic, the church gets enough negative attention I did not want to bring more. However, it was his unwelcoming Spirit that turned us away. The church was asking for volunteers. My husband and I were excited to join as we were Eucharistic ministers and readers in our last parish. Being of Hispanic heritage, I also grew up going to Spanish mass with my grandmother... so I was especially excited to know they had Spanish mass as well. I got a phone call from Father Raul, who began questioning me. I shared with him that my husband and I were not married in a church and then I had previously been married in the Catholic Church, but had not yet filed for an annulment. Next, Father Raul scolded me for this and told me not only could I not be a Eucharistic minister there that I was not allowed to even receive communion. And abruptly ended the conversation. Nothing further. I was in such shock that he spoke to me in that manner that I broke down in tears. He judged and criticized me over a five minute conversation without offering guidance or solution. I have since filed for an announcement through the Santa Rosa archdiocese and I'm working with Father Fabian and Father Dennis from St. James. Both gentle men who never once made me feel judged nor condemned me as Father Raul did. They brought us in lovingly, as I imagine Jesus would have, and are guiding us as they continue to include us in every aspect of the church. Priests are supposed to be following God's word and leading their flock. This was not the case with Father Raul. He was unapproachable and harsh. Unwelcoming. Shunned us. Yet, they had no problems sending envelopes for collection to our home. I say this as corrective criticism. The Catholic Church has gone through so much and has lost many members. Had it not been for my faith being so strong I might've walked away from the church as well. Instead I found a church that brings me closer to the Lord. I also had the great experience of knowing many wonderful priests and nuns who renewed my trust in the church. Also, I went to receive my ashes a couple years ago and Father Raul was sitting outside, adorned with a face mask and administered ashes on parishioner's foreheads using Q-tips, as though we were lepers. I can not imagine Jesus EVER doing something like that.

We are visiting from San Francisco. When we got inside the church, we were filled with awe with wooden ceilings, very peaceful.. the homily by the Msjr was beautiful & inspiring.. Everyone was very friendly & helpful to us. We highly recommend St. Joseph church, will be back to visit again. They offer daily masses..
