I'll start with the positives: There are lots of groups here, the space, although small, is well used, and the music is absolutely amazing! All the congregates seemed so enthusiastic to be there, which really drew me in until the sermon. I also love that they offer ASL interpretations in their recorded sermons! All that being said, I found myself feeling intimidated by the amount of "fire and brimstone" preaching towards sinners and non-believers and was put off by the amount of political discussion by congregation members outside of the service that made me, an openly queer person, feel a bit unsafe and ready to get going as soon as I could. I'm so glad this place works for some people, but the lack of compassion for outsiders did not work for me.

I felt like the mass was a waste of time and could not connect spiritually due to the distractions of the non understandable celebrant. This is the Cathedral of the diocese...one would think they would have a mass celebrant that speaks English clearly enough to be understood....I am certain this is not the first complaint regarding this issue.
