This is the coolest place ever!!! What an experience and the food is amazing. Hands down the best chicken I've ever had. It was a hot night and some fans or misters when it pushes 100 would be an awesome addition but there were plenty of people who brought their own personal fans. There is literally something for everyone here! An OVER ABUNDANCE of food choices. There is free ice cold water and tea and an open bar where you can purchase alcohol, lemonade and sodas. The ice cream bar with "do-it-yourself" topping options was a fun after dinner dessert to eat on the grassy amphitheater seating while we watch the sunset and listen to great live bands. There is horseshoe, cornhole, steer roping and other fun yard games that were a huge hit. The atmosphere is unforgettable and is a great place to slow down, have some amazing food and meet some new people. The silo bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. The attention to detail in every ounce of this place is so cool. This is a lazy Idaho summer day MUST and wasn't much more expensive than going out to eat at a local restaurant. If you are looking for a cool experience with awesome food, great music and fun things to do, this is it! We went for the first time. It's true that it's dusty and be prepared for uneven ground. The set up is really professional and well thought out. Lots of room for people including families. Food is very good and $50 for "all-you-can-eat" plus live music seems reasonable, but for those of us that can only eat so much, it's a little pricey. Downside is the seating under cover is very limited but I think most people eat there and then go outside - but outside is full on direct hot sun in your face so be prepared for that. This is a wonderful spot for a family event, company event or like in my case just a sweet fun date night with my bride! Live music and outdoor gourmet cowboy over the fire BBQ! The chicken thighs were a 22 out of 10. Not a typo. Best chicken thigh I have ever had in my life! Mac n cheese-great. Pork loin-great. Pulled pork shoulder-excellent! The Greek pork thing?-phenomenal! Beer, wine, soda and lemonade by the glass with unlimited ice cold water and iced tea. If you are that one person leaving the review that it is dusty and the ground is uneven, remember that you are in Northern Idaho and this is an experience dinner not some bougie downtown Spokane crap. I would give this a 10 star if I could to erase those bs 2 star reviews written by people that don't know how to have real outdoor fun! read more

I had family in from out of town and wanted a way to get everyone together for food and entertainment. I don't think there could have been a better option in the CDA area. We went on a sold out Thursday with about 500 people in attendance and it never seemed over crowded. We found a table under the tent with ease and a large portion of the attendees brought their own chairs to sit out in the grass to eat while watching the band. We never had more than a few people in front of us in line at any of the stations. The short lines we did experience moved quick. There was plenty of food, the food was hot, and everything tasted great. The band sounded good and there were plenty of yard games and activities to occupy the kids. All in all, we had a great time and everyone left talking about the good food and the great experience. read more

First time here. The setting is really neat and the smokers and grills are so cool. The smoky sunset was beautiful and the music was great! Loved the silo bathrooms. The cabbage, cilantro salad was so delicious! Things that were fairly disappointing was the amount of people! It's hard to enjoy when the lines are 30 people deep. It says food available from 5-7, but honestly much of it was gone by 6 and the stations were being shut down and cleaned up. If it's all you can eat, then it should be all you can eat, not sorry we ran out of food within an hour. The tickets are presale so should have a good idea of how many to fix for. Also expected beef sirloin or tri tip but the only beef was shredded brisket. Ice cream is an extra charge. Overall, fun experience and we enjoyed a night with friends just a few disappointments. read more

Just got home from a WONDERFUL evening! The food was delicious and cooked to perfection... unfortunately got full before even tasting everything! But no complaints just means we will return! The music was FANTASTIC! Stayed past bedtime because the music was so great! The ice cream bar was fun for the kiddos cost is extra for that but it was fun and a definite treat. We have been coming to discovery fire since they opened and last night was the first time I would honestly say I would not go back. I felt like I was at a theme park with the amount of people that were there and then they ran out of food. I would happily pay more to get the original experience back. I totally understand wanting to make money but with seating for just over 100 in the shade when it's 85° out and over 650 people in attendance, it was a little disheartening. The food was amazing as always, I just wish the experience was as well. Maybe opening more days of the week or capping the ticket sales would help this issue! read more

Lost the fire! Just went mid July and more people here than I have ever seen. Food was gone before you could get any and they allowed way too many people in. Either more food or less people, the environment used to be amazing and this event was ruined. Sure hope discovery fire can go back to what it used to be. I would pay even more to know that I'm gonna get a full meal and not a crowd like I'm at Walmart. read more
