Hand included for scale. 3 tiny shrimp inside each taco.

My wife and I opted to split the shrimp tacos. 2 small tacos were delivered with 3 small shrimp inside each taco. At $22, they were the most expensive tacos I've ever seen in a restaurant.

$27 Chicken Sandwich + $13 Beer + tip =$48 lol. The most expensive restaurant in town and it is serving mediocre bar food. There are plenty of locally owned choices downtown looking for your business. Go somewhere else and have a better meal for less, and then go for a walk and look at the lake from Tubbs. I gave it extra stars for the atmosphere and ease of finding an open table.

The fish and chips were very yummy and the fries were also pretty good. Probably number three best fish and chips so far on my journey to find the best fish and chips (which is 5 places so far so maybe I just like fish and chips in general). Great location probably helped with overall satisfaction. Less stars because definitely too expensive for what I got.

Great shady dog friendly patio that is right on Lake Coeur d'Alene! Fun, casual summer food (tacos, burgers, and salads) and refreshing huckleberry magaritas. Friendly and helpful servers and overall good summer vibes. 9/10, would come just to watch the sunset with a huckleberry magarita and friends.

Huckleberry margarita and fish tacos. Could not wait to scarf down after a swim/hike

The best family friendly location to enjoy some outside eats!! You get a beautiful view of the lake with great service and delicious food/drink options. A perfect place to stop at before or after a hike on the hill. My go to order is The Buoy fries and fish tacos. Occasionally, I'll switch it up with a sandwich or veggie burger but I always wash it down with a delicious blended huckleberry marg.

The Buoy is an outdoor "taco shack" type restaurant that sits right where the lake, Tubbs Hill, and McEuen Park converge (making it a great location). I ate there with my wife and we both ordered the fish tacos which tasted good but were way overpriced. Ordering 2 or 3 tacos each (plus a gatorade each) our total came to above $40. It seems wrong to ever pay that much for tacos, especially tacos as common as the ones at Buoy. What you're really paying for here is the location. Other than the price, our experience was positive. I can't say I didn't enjoy the great view of the marina but I'm not in a hurry to return.

Food is delicious. We had the fish tacos and steak quesadillas. Just we wish it was more reasonably priced.

We ordered the spring salads with grilled chicken. It was ok. Not worth $17. Then they ran out of blue cheese crumbles and ran to the store. Sadly to say I never got them which might have added to the taste of the salad given it was supposed to come with them. We waited a very long time for our salads. And a very long time for the bill which I thought the might credit a dollar or two due to running out of blue cheese. But no. Just an apology. Indoor eating is very loud. So be prepared. Also the bathroom had no hand towels to dry my hands. Sorry to be disappointed. It might have been an off day as it seems pretty popular.

Cheerfully greeted and {as I was with a "walker" because of my recent hip replacement surgery} she suggested if I wanted a lower table it would be toward the back. She gave me a menu then momentarily disappeared to get me a room temperature water (delightful) and then we discussed the menu. I then ordered with her suggestions and waited. Not too very long thereafter, my lunch arrived - a lovely surprising portion, colorful, well presented and exactly as I was hoping for. The parmesan halibut addition to my seasonal salad (which BTW is not current on their website but my variation was DELISH) was tasteful and moist. The kale based salad was dressed in a cranberry vinaigrette, but I'd asked for a side of Bleu Cheese as well (my weakness, especially if it's a delightful house made version as this was). I only ate half & took the rest home, as it was large enough for two meals - and @ a price point which was reasonable for this day & age! Thank you to my very caring & hospitable server - she made my lunchtime meal more than I could have expected!!! Go try them, Now!

Anyway my plate arrive arrived covered in butter and cheese. Who puts cheese on fries without saying so? So I obviously could not eat any of it. I didn't bother to have them remake it and paid for an un-edible meal but asked her what could I have done differently she said tell us about your allergies and I was like, well I did. I told you I don't eat butter and the cornbread still arrived with the biggest slab of butter I've ever seen. Like wtf? Disappointing. But I will say the pickled vegetables were amazing! 10/10

Of course, he went with the classic cheese steak to see what their original was like before delving into the other specialty ones they offer. I ordered the Dirty Hippie, which has no meat--double portions of both mushrooms and grilled onions, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and ranch on a fresh baked roll. For my sweet tooth, I also got a "Pop's brownie." The Dirty Hippie to me tasted pretty much like a cheese steak, but with no meat. So, they did do a good job of mimicking a real cheese steak. It was super hot, cheese was melted, and definitely noticed the double portion of veggies. The grilled onions had a good taste, however, they were really long and stringy, which reminded me of string spaghetti lol. Sandwich can get a little messy, prepare yourself with some napkins, and don't let it sit or it'll get soggy from the juices. My roommate thought his cheese steak was average, not bad but not the best he's ever had either. Pop's brownie was chocolatey and moist and a great way to end a flavorful lunch. The shack is located in a convenient spot and the lot has ample parking. Service was great. The woman helping us was friendly and even gave me a frequent buyer punch card since I told her it was my first time there. Fyi, Monday's are double punch days! I'm a cash-type of person anyway, but bring cash if you don't want to be charged $1 to use your card.

The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside but still soft and pillowy inside, holding everything together without falling apart. The steak was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, chopped just right so every bite had the perfect balance of meat, cheese, and bread. And the cheese... perfectly melted into the steak so it coated every bite instead of just sitting on top. That first bite was one of those moments where you pause for a second because it's just *that good*. By the halfway point I was already thinking about when I could come back for another one. I love "Mom" who is always friendly and fun to talk to while waiting. Please keep in mind each sandwich is made to order so please anticipate a little wait BUT WORTH EVERY minute of it. If you're a Philly cheesesteak fan, this place is absolutely worth the trip. Bold statement, but this sandwich sets the bar.
