There's a headline somewhere out there saying that Disney made more profit with churros sales at the park than for Disney+ subscriptions, and you know what? I see it. Warm, slightly chewy interior, sweetly seasoned, perfect amount of crunch on the exterior. Unless you have self control and are sharing, everyone in the party is getting one of these. They're around $5.75 each, with seasonal/variation ones costing a bit more. You can never go wrong with the original one though since the seasonal variations are generally the base original one with additional toppings, creams, or dipping sauces. Can get messy, but you can never go wrong with a classic churro at Disneyland! Lines can get pretty long depending which one you are at and if some are closed, so get ready for that, but the service is usually quite efficient. Hard to argue with deep fried perfection. My "Go To" Churro Cart at the Happiest Place on Earth is right outside Haunted Mansion. $5.95 a pop, but oh, so worth it. They come out HOT, FRESH and PERFECTLY DUSTED with Tinkerbell-inspired cinnamon sugar. Crispy on the initial bite, with that amazing soft interior that makes me want to eat a dozen. The Disneyland staff are always friendly, providing us with the sugar-powered energy to deal with Stroller Parking and Kids on Leashes. It's definitely a MUST HAVE when visiting the park. read more

My favorite Disneyland dessert are the churros at Disneyland!  How can you go without getting one?  You really should be getting one. I get the Original Churro. I would go out of my way to come here. The original is my favorite. They are slightly crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside, the perfect balance.  I also like that they aren't overly sweet.  I like that they always come out piping hot and fresh, amazing.  They are quite big so you can definitely share a churro.  I usually share one with my boyfriend but we always end up getting a second churro throughout the day! They are better than the ones at Costco. They also have a lot of seasonal flavors to choose from. Just keep in mind that if you want a seasonal flavor, there are specific carts in the park that offer them, not every cart offers seasonal flavors and every cart offers different seasonal flavors.  I usually get my Churros from Churros near Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Tomorrowland but you can find carts all throughout the park at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. They're all quick service, no tables.  The service is friendly.  I usually find a place to sit or walk and eat them.  They don't have mobile order so you have to get in line but it moves fast, sometimes there is no line. Price wise, they are more expensive that your average churro but this is expected buying food inside the parks, it's worth it in my opinion, it's a big churro and so good. read more

Many, many years ago, when I was but a small child, my family took a trip to Disneyland and it was then that I first tried a churro. I was immediately blown away and in the years since, I've been trying to find a churro that tasted even remotely as delicious as that one (to no avail). So obviously I was quite excited to eat a Disneyland churro on this recent trip to the park, but I kept putting it off because of the anticipation leading up to it. (It didn't help that there were always huge lineups at the various carts.) Finally, on our last day, the churro cart near Haunted Mansion was pretty much empty, so I figured that was the perfect time to make it happen. I ordered just a plain churro and tentatively took my first bite. And once again, I was immediately blown away. I've eaten many churros over the years, but I think Disneyland still sells the best one out there. It's just so flavorful, and the texture is perfect: the outside is a little crisp, while the interior is irresistible fluffy. I couldn't be more relieved that Disneyland's churros lived up to my memory. They're amazing. read more

Talk about comfort food! I don't know how you can make some churros taste better than others, but Disney found a way! At first, I thought 5 bucks was steep until I bought one for my daughters. One churro was enough for both of them and I still snagged a couple of bites for myself when they were full! The line can move super slow, I guess because at Disney most people in line are purchasing for their entire party elsewhere and they coat the churros right when they are ordered so there is some prep time. My suggestion: if there is a line more than 6 people deep, find another cart! The lines come and go. Sometimes there is no line, and sometimes there is a super long line! Not required at every visit to the parks but one of my favorite snacks at the Disneyland Resort are the original Cinnamon Sugar churros. These sweet treats are warm, crispy, sweet and delicious! They make them best here at the parks! There are many churro carts scattered around the 2 resort parks and there are often seasonal/limited time flavors. My most recent favorite is the Sour Cherry Churro. They are a regular churro with sour cherry powder instead of the original cinnamon sugar. OMG! Let me tell you! I can not get enough of these churros! The sweet tart flavor is so great with the crispy dough stick. I'm in heaven. The Sour Cherry flavor is available until the end of Feb 2022 in Tomorrowland near Buzz Lightyear. Make sure to keep a lookout for new flavors, because sometimes they are only at a single cart at a time. Make sure you get a fresh warm crispy one, and you will never look back! Lines may look long, but they go pretty quick as the carts only sell churros and bottled drinks. Definitely recommended! They take card & cash. No discounts. :( read more

If you're visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, you have to stop at a churro cart. No trip is complete without one. I know what you're thinking, "$5.00+ for a sweet stick of fried dough? I'd rather go to Costco and grab four if I'm going to spend that much on one!" Pre-COVID, you would have a point. Starting 2021, Costco changed their recipe and the new twisted churros are not as good compared to before. Too dry, kind of like a bad bagel that's been doused in cinnamon. At Disney, no matter what crazy toppings they add or whatever holiday special they do, it's still the same perfectly crispy exterior and soft, chewy interior you know and love. Ohhh something about eating a churro at a Disney park is magical to me. Probably because it's a memory from my childhood AND those Disney churros are still pretty darn tasty. Hot,crispy fried dough liberally dusted with sugar and cinnamon. Plus these suckers won't break the bank. They range about $5. I bought a regular classic churro as I was leaving California Adventure park for the day. I got one from the cart on Buena Vista. They were accepting walk up orders. Thank goodness because I didn't want to do mobile ordering,I was on the move. The menu options was limited. They had the original churro and a raspberry cream filled one which costs more. They didn't have the famous fluffernutter churro. But I noticed that the churro options everywhere were limited. Hopefully as the parks reopen at full admission capacity, the churro options will expand back to pre-pandemic. The cast member that helped me was great. Even though it near closing time; she didn't rush me or shoo me away. I lucked out, there was no line. Got this quick. Once I got a hold of the churro, I gobbled it up. Forgot to take a pic. D'oh! [TLDR; my ranking of the best flavored churros at the bottom] So basically, these are the most amazing churros in the world. Is it the Disney magic? Yes. Is it because they have the perfect amount of sweetness? Yes. Is it because they are perfectly fried? Yes. Is it because they manage to be both crunchy on the outside, yet soft and chewy on the inside? Oh yes. DISNEYLAND CHURROS CANNOT BE BEAT. Now, I know a lot of flavored churros are coming out. I love to try them out and compare them to the original. However, I am a harsh critic and there is always an important question to ask -- Are they better than the classic Disney churro? With that being said, here is my PERSONAL RANKING OF DISNEY CHURROS (based off of the ones that I've tried). 1. Coco Churro with Mexican Spiced Chocolate Dipping Sauce (seasonal for Pixar Fest): This is the only flavored churro I've had that actually improves upon the Classic Churro. Perhaps I'm biased because I love both chocolate and spice, but my boyfriend (who doesn't like chocolate) also agreed that these were better than the original. First off, chocolate and cinnamon are an amazing combination. Second of all, the chocolate sauce was awesome. It didn't taste spicy, but it had the end note of heat that was really enjoyable (I'm guessing it was a dash of cayenne pepper). And also the sauce just tasted delicious. I would drink that stuff! 2. Classic Churro: Just pure awesomeness from the texture to the flavor. Make sure they give you fresh churros though! Stale and cold churros are not great. 3. Hot Chocolate Churro with Marshmallow Dipping Sauce (seasonal for Holidays): This was a great holiday flavor. Like the Coco Churro, the chocolate and peppermint flavor was a good add-on to the churro. It was super festive and just made the holidays better. It tasted like a perfect cup of hot cocoa, except in churro form. 4. S'mores Churro (seasonal for Halloween): I appreciated this churro. It had crunch from the graham cracker and the chocolate and marshmallow drizzle was great! It was a fun twist to the classic, but not as great as the classic. Everything about this churro made sense and it was good. 5. Maple Bacon Churro (seasonal for Get Your Ears on Celebration): So people might fight me about this one, but I didn't find this churro to be a top contender. It was great, don't get me wrong. But like I said, definitely not better than the classic. The bacon on it was nice and salty so it helped contrast the sweetness of the churro. The maple sauce was also delicious, but along with the cinnamon and sugar already on the churro, it was just too sweet. Still a fun and exciting churro! Just not my favorite. 6. Churro Bites (seasonal item at The Hungry Bear Restaurant for the Holidays): It was churro bites with eggnog gelato and caramel sauce. This was good, but it led me to ask the question, is this just good because there's ice cream on it and ice cream makes everything better? Perhaps. The best part about churros are when they're crunchy and warm and unless you eat this thing in like two seconds, the churros will get soggy and cold from the ice cream. 7. Pumpkin Spice Churro with Cream Cheese Frosting Dipping Sauce (seasonal for Halloween and Holidays): I really wanted to like this one better. The pumpkin spice flavor was definitely there, it was just too sweet. Almost sickeningly sweet, especially with the cream cheese frosting. If they toned down the sugar and amped up the pumpkin spice flavor, these could have been better. 8. Maleficent Churro (seasonal item for Halloween): This churro was fun for the aesthetic, but it was essentially crushed cookies with green and purple colored sugar on a churro. The chocolate cookies didn't really add much flavor and the colored sugar was a little too coarse for my liking. It made the churro almost seem gritty and disguised the great crunch of the original churro. Not my favorite for the price. But cute to instagram! There you have it! I will continue to update this list if I try more flavors! :) read more

The Golden Churro. Thats what my Disneyland Churro Cart experience was all about. On the way to the Haunted Mansion I was trying to figure out what the line along the sidewalk was... Oh thats just the line for the Golden Churro at the Churro Cart. Wow. It wasnt even 10am yet. After the ride, we decided to get in that line since it was probably only going to get longer, later. We spent about a half hour waiting. Longer than we spent waiting for Pirates of the Caribbean on the 50th Anniversary Celebration Day. No joke! The Golden Churro. It is lemon flavored and after eating it, I had a weird film in my mouth... which I didnt love.
