I took a PMP exam prep class from Project Management Academy the week of 8/31/15 at the Rolling…read moreMeadows location. It is very difficult to choose a PMP prep class online, not knowing much about the teacher you will receive, the quality of the teacher, language issues, etc. I had previously taken non-PMP classes from other providers and had been disappointed that our training materials were clearly written by someone whose first language was not English, and I had to struggle to understand the instructor through his accent. I ultimately went with PMA because of the price of the class was reasonable & there was a solid pass guarantee. Our teacher Asad is from the UK and had a very cool British accent that made him sound very knowledgeable. In truth, he WAS very knowledgeable about the exam and how to best prepare. This course was geared towards passing the PMP. If you are looking for a class on how to be a good project manager, do not look for a PMP prep class. This class is preparing you for success on your PMP exam. What I liked best: the laminated study guides, the online mock exams, the study skills booklet, and Asad's ability to walk us through the common tricks on the exam and how to avoid them. Asad was able to highlight areas of the course that are heavily tested, areas that aren't heavily tested, etc. He explained the course material extremely well. It was easy to understand. The manual was very well-written & well-organized. Practice questions followed every chapter. By the time I completed the course, I am sure I could have passed the exam the next day. However, PMA recommends waiting 1-3 weeks after completion of the course to provide extra studying test. I took another 10 days and studied hard during that time. The mock exams on PMA's website were very useful & gave great practice with the types of test questions and what to expect. They also gave me complete confidence walking into the exam that I would pass. So far everyone from our class who has taken the exam has passed. This is a testament to the great preparation from PMA and Asad. I highly recommend Project Management Academy to anyone seeking their PMP certification.

Asad was a good instructor but he ran through the post course instructions at the end of the last day at which time I was not able to comprehend what he was saying.

I am an Emergency Room nurse and have taken PALS and have recertified in ACLS through A.C.E.S…read more Both course lectures were taught by Doug. He has lots of stories and keeps the class interesting yet relevant to content material. He also always makes sure we understand important concepts in the lecture so we are prepared to pass the test. My two day PALS class was small (10 people), and the one day (6 hour) ACLS recertification was large (50 people). However both classes had enough staff members to lead the mega codes thoroughly and efficiently. A.C.E.S. is the company my hospital works with for all nurses' educational needs, however I would choose them in a "heartbeat" if I was given a choice.

They are professional, offer a variety of locations, have several classes a month, are affordable and best of all conscious about our time. For a BLS renewal, you pay $40, (at the time of this review), and spend about two hours learning how to save adults and children through CPR, use of AED's and the Heimlich maneuver. The last renewal class I went to there was only three of us, so we were able to speed through class and finish with in under the 2 hours we were scheduled for yet still completing everything we needed to go over. They try and make the classes fun, yet knowledgeable. Luckily I haven't had to use my skills, hopefully I never will, but I feel confident that if I do, I can help save a life.

They send you a book for whichever class you are taking. You can even retake your classes. And depending on the teacher, the classes are recorded so you can re-watch them. I just wish it was not to the instructor's discretion to record. I wish all the classes could be recorded. However, most of my classes were able to be recorded. I know that my abilities have increased after the class. My only contention is that many/most people in the class had overestimated their abilities on excel. This is especially true for the advanced class. I was finished with an entire worksheet while I was waiting for most of the rest of the class to finish the first problem. Essentially, the teacher had no choice but to slow down to the pace of the slowest student while I was chomping at the bit to continue. That's certainly not a knock on the teacher or the education. However, a prerequisite aptitude evaluation would be something to consider.

Quick info: Small classes All women, age 18 and up No drama Pole dancing focus Other dance/fitness classes Drop-in's okay for certain classes Affordable The main focus is on pole dancing classes but this studio is not just limited to pole dancers. They offer other classes for dance and physical fitness, such as Flex Appeal (flexibility) and At The Barre (adult beginner ballet). They allow drop-in's for certain classes that are affordable, in case you want to try a class that's not pole dancing and don't want to commit to buying a whole class session up front. They also offer a virtual "punch card" online so you can try different classes. There's no drama here: the students and instructors are women aged 18 and up. All shapes, sizes, and fitness levels come here. No one is too big or too old. The classes are small and the instructors can decrease or increase the challenge of the class for your own personal needs.
