So for this reason and this reason alone I'm giving Glacier Steel Roofing Products 4 stars. Just know it should be 5 stars. If you've read any of my other reviews you would know that we have been in the process of remodeling our home for the last two years. Along with new windows, insulation, well pretty much everything has been redone we decided to put a metal roof on our house. I thought it might be better for the snow to slide off our house during the winter instead of just sitting there putting more weight on our house's roof. In theory it seems right. Anyway, I hired a contractor to put the new roof on. The contractor gave me a few options of different companies that sold this type of product. My wife and I drove over to Glacier Steel. Thank goodness I have a gps, because they are kinda located in the middle of nowhere. We walked into there office/ showroom, and found a sales associate we could talk to. We were shown a number of options and told wich grades of metal we would want to use on our roof. Everything they said checked out from what our contractor had already told us. After choosing a grade of metal, we then got to choose what color we wanted our roof to be. That decision is actually a tough one if your undecided on what finish color you want to paint your house. I decided that a blue or red roof might be a little to much, so after convincing my wife we went with a nice gray color. We had the roof dimensions, so I already new how much product to buy. We ordered and paid for the material all at one time. Two weeks later we had the metal, and our roof was being put on. All in all the process was super easy. I came prepared and new what I wanted, which made the process so much smoother. Throughout our entire house remodel the roof, windows and new kitchen were the only things that went smoothly. I really appreciate Glacier Steel, and in the next 30 to 40 years well probably purchase the metal for our next roof from them.

We had a pipe burst in our home and xtreme came out the first week of October for work. Our…read moreinsurance agent said to get an invoice asap and to stop all of the additional services as they add up quickly. The on site manager said he would get me the invoice the next week. I followed up with him repeatedly, nothing came. I followed up with the local manager several times, nothing came. We needed to make a determination on whether to pay for this ourselves or file an insurance claim. Xtreme was completely unprofessional, unreliable, and a total scam. Over 60 days later, yes, 60 DAYS later, we receive and invoice from their billing service, which was on a Thursday. I spoke with our insurance agent and decided to file a claim at that time. Our adjustor came out the following Monday and we were proceeding. The next day, Xtreme called me, emailed me in a most unprofessional way. Borderline harassment, asking for payment and said they offer a cash discount if it doesnt go through insurance. At this time, I had had the invoice for 4 business days. Now, I have had the invoice for less than 30 days. Our insurance is finalizing the claim and the expect to have everything ready in a few weeks. Extreme is putting a lien on our house because of the delay. The delay was because of them!!!!!!! I have records of each and every call, text, and email to everyone there. This is a total scam. Run from this company as fast and as far as you can!!

The cables recently failed with one side completely off the spool and one side tangled. The customer service person eventually agreed to take my name and number to hand off to the maintenance crew but no one ever got back to me. I guess they are much more geared toward sales and installation than repair. I'll guess I'll just watch some YouTube videos and try to fix this myself.
