Walking in Ms. Alyssa and Ms. Marie welcomed me and got me checked in. Then Ms. Lacey came and brought me back she had me take a seat and explained what was going to happen. The purple napkin and the silly jelly with some gauze. That sat on there for a few minutes and then Doctor Yarborough she came in and said good morning and talked about what was gonna happen before it did but like in a way that I could understand. Then it was time to have the numbing shot, which unfortunately, for me is the worst part, thankfully this is a place with amazing people where they don't see it as that instead they see it as someone being a brave person that's just really nervous. And they find ways to help people get through that whether if it's with laughing gas, it's with iv sedation it's with medicine or in my case with turning on the TV and having somebody stay in the room and just talk and hold your hands. And that's exactly what happened for Me , Fuller house on the TV, and Ms. Gabby just talk to me while holding my hands, helped me while Ms. Lacey and Doctor Yarborough fixed my tooth, they all were telling me that I was doing a great job. She told me everything she was going to do, so there were no surprises, and before I knew it, I was done. Everybody was super supportive, kind, caring, even with some tears. They helped me with my tooth. Ms.Marie was able to check me out upfront and I was on my way with a half crooked smile on the account that my face was still numb from it being fixed! Don't worry it went back to normal. This isn't just a dentist's office. This is a dentist, family who really cares about their patients, takes the time to help them feel comfortable, confident, and brave, even if they're a little scared and walk out with an awesome smile! The absolute WORST!! Went in for a very painful toothache. They took x-rays and determined that I…read morehad some bone loss around the tooth. They proceeded to let me know that they needed to do a cleaning around that one particular tooth, OK cost me $600 to have that one tooth cleaned. The pain continued on and got worse after the cleaning and was told to take ibuprofen and Tylenol together to help ease the pain. The pain got worse and two months later I went to a periodontist. They too took x-rays and discovered I had significant bone loss And an infection around that tooth. This tooth now needs to be pulled because it's beyond repair and replaced with an implant. The periodontist told me that the infection looked like it had been there a lot longer than two months and has now moved up into my sinus cavity. Save yourself a lot of pain and money and definitely DO NOT use The Art of Dentistry for any of your dental needs.

That should have been a red flag just based on the lack of professionalism, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another chance, BIG MISTAKE. They have submitted duplicate claims for the same services through my insurance and also they have charged me more than what my insurance company recommends based on their explanation of benefits, when I asked for an explanation for the discrepancies Pam, the office manager/accounting denied to offer an explanation or even let me go inside the office ( even though I was wearing a mask and also exercising social distancing ). Also office was closed for at least a few weeks and even though my wife and son had appointments for services, they never bothered to reach out to us to let us know so we showed up only to find the office closed and a normal voice-mail when calling. Had to keep calling in order to reschedule for them to complete services as they also never bothered to return phone calls.... Will be filling other complaints with other entities and sources but all I can say for anyone reading this: BEWARE, PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK AND CHECK YOUR EXPLANATION OF BENEFITS FROM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.

I am not one who fears my trips to the dentist at all, but this practice could cure anyone who is. No lie, I look forward to going each time and it's not just for the free toothbrush/floss/travel size Colgate at the end of the visit. But, I do like that, too. Who doesn't love a tiny pack of floss for their purse? I digress... The entire staff makes you comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. My trips should be awful because I have had gum issues for years. But, Ashley and I worked on a plan to get my oral health back on track. Dr. Orman helped, too, of course. I mean, the whole office rocks, but Ashley? She was incredibly helpful by recommending products that I could use outside of my office visits to help improve my "you got some bad gums/build-up and bone loss" situation. That means I could be losing teeth and getting partials or (gasp!) dentures if I don't get my act together. Dentures? Ewwww, no. I am far too vain for that. So, today? Ashley's investment in me as a patient and my dedication (floss, people, for the love of all things holy, FLOSS!) has me back on track. It's been a journey, but I will still be eating corn on the cob in the future with my own choppers and not worrying about where "I put my teeth," when company comes over. How embarrassing, right? And, FYI, if you have gum issues and don't take care of them? Just go ahead and prepare for dentures. Or, better idea: Go see the folks at this practice; do not wait any longer.
