After that, I started thinking every dentist appointment was going to be like that, but then that changed when my mom found Peak Dental. She came home saying everyone was super kind, and I decided to try it after switching insurance. Right away, it felt peaceful and good. It wasn't scary or overwhelming. It was easy to make an appointment. I also sent a note I use for all my doctors, so they know how to help me better. Marie emailed me back fast with an appointment and said my note was super helpful and that she would share it with everyone else. That made me feel lots better before even going. The office is easy to find and has lots of parking. Inside, it's bright and really welcoming. Alyssa and Marie at the front desk were super kind and made checking in really easy. There's a comfy waiting area too, which helped because I was kind of nervous. Lacey, the dental assistant, brought me back, and she was really gentle and went slowly. We did X-rays first, then went into a room with a really comfy chair. She told me what was going to happen before she did anything, which helped a lot because it felt less scary. If you look up at the ceiling, they have TVs too. You can bring a comfort item if you need it, which helps a lot when you're nervous. Then Dr. Yarborough came in. She was so kind and helped me be calm and made me feel much better. She had read my note and said it was super helpful. We just went step by step, and she explained everything in a way I was able to understand. What I liked most is I didn't feel rushed at all. I could ask questions, and I didn't feel silly. I actually felt empowered and that I was not going to be judged for asking something or needing extra help. When I was done, I checked out and walked out with a smile. I was not just in a dentist's office, but instead, it felt like a dental family that really cares about each patient. I think I am going to be okay.

Dr. Yarborough was completely professional and nonjudgemental. Her staff was top notch. They came highly recommended to me and I was not disappointed... actually impressed and looking forward to getting on the right path with dental care. If you have any hesitation or anxiety about dentists...I recommend you go to Peak Dental!!! They will take care of you.

The first visit- Dr Wych's team spent over an hour with me talking and taking x-rays. Moving slow. Reassuring. Calming. We talked about EXACTLY what needed to be done and how they would do it. The next visit- absolute perfection. I went in and came out 4 hours later - Problems fixed. No pain. And a greatly reduced fear of the Chair! Highly HIGHLY recommend Dr Wych and his AMAZING staff for all of us that have that fear!!

They proceeded to let me know that they needed to do a cleaning around that one particular tooth, OK cost me $600 to have that one tooth cleaned. The pain continued on and got worse after the cleaning and was told to take ibuprofen and Tylenol together to help ease the pain. The pain got worse and two months later I went to a periodontist. They too took x-rays and discovered I had significant bone loss And an infection around that tooth. This tooth now needs to be pulled because it's beyond repair and replaced with an implant. The periodontist told me that the infection looked like it had been there a lot longer than two months and has now moved up into my sinus cavity. Save yourself a lot of pain and money and definitely DO NOT use The Art of Dentistry for any of your dental needs.

I am not one who fears my trips to the dentist at all, but this practice could cure anyone who is. No lie, I look forward to going each time and it's not just for the free toothbrush/floss/travel size Colgate at the end of the visit. But, I do like that, too. Who doesn't love a tiny pack of floss for their purse? I digress... The entire staff makes you comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. My trips should be awful because I have had gum issues for years. But, Ashley and I worked on a plan to get my oral health back on track. Dr. Orman helped, too, of course. I mean, the whole office rocks, but Ashley? She was incredibly helpful by recommending products that I could use outside of my office visits to help improve my "you got some bad gums/build-up and bone loss" situation. That means I could be losing teeth and getting partials or (gasp!) dentures if I don't get my act together. Dentures? Ewwww, no. I am far too vain for that. So, today? Ashley's investment in me as a patient and my dedication (floss, people, for the love of all things holy, FLOSS!) has me back on track. It's been a journey, but I will still be eating corn on the cob in the future with my own choppers and not worrying about where "I put my teeth," when company comes over. How embarrassing, right? And, FYI, if you have gum issues and don't take care of them? Just go ahead and prepare for dentures. Or, better idea: Go see the folks at this practice; do not wait any longer. They aren't super fancy, but they are super fantastic.

I was forced to see someone when I developed an infection in my jaw. Dr. Taylor was extremely concerned. He saw me immediately and referred me to a few of his colleagues following up throughout the process. I ultimately needed to see an oral surgeon who fixed the issue. After I was healed I went back for a cleaning which was wonderful. The hygienist explained everything she was doing. She was professional, caring and did a wonderful job. I went back to have a broken tooth fixed a week after the cleaning. Dr Taylor was personable, professional and considerate of my anxiety. Dr. Taylor is - bar none - 'the' most competent, ethical, skilled dentist in the midlands. Before finding Dr. Taylor, I suffered at the hands of other area dentists who are willing to do more harm than good by doing procedures they lack training to do competently and then serve up another bill to have them fix their mistakes. That was my typical experience many times over with different dentists before finding Dr. Taylor. I went through much suffering and spent thousands of dollars -- until I was smart enough tor realize I should ask a pro for a referral. Dr. Eddie Taylor was referred to me from a highly regarded oral surgeon who was repairing yet another procedure-gone-wrong from another one of my now 'former' dentists. Dr. Taylor is honest. He provides a wide range of dental services; he is a highly talented, skilled perfectionist. He takes pride in his work and is caring enough to put the patient's needs first and avoids having patients endure unnecessary procedures that don't offer significant benefit. So many dentists in the area will refuse to refer their patients to a specialist when the procedure calls for one outside the realm of general dentistry or will even try to do the procedure themselves. Some even offer botox injections and other non-dental procedures. Dr. Taylor is focused purely on dentistry and getting the best possible outcome for the patient as a PRIORITY. If/When a specialist is required, he refers patients to professionals he entrusts his own family to. Since going to Dr. Taylor, I have received excellent preventative care and restorative care. I have healthier teeth and gums. He addressed several issues that were causing problems for me and provided me a better functional and aesthetic outcome with minimal inconvenience. He will not try to up-sell the patient or risk an unhealthy outcome. Dr. Taylor diagnoses, treats and does things properly the first time. He has amazing staff who are always professional, competent and compassionate. It took me a long time find a trustworthy, exceptionally skilled, competent dentist- but I couldn't be happier since finding Dr. Taylor.
