This was especially frustrating because Jessica, the owner, explicitly told my wife that the visit would be in-person. There is no reasonable explanation for how a one-year well visit, which requires weight, measurements, physical exam, and developmental checks, can be done virtually. What made this worse is that Jessica was physically present, walked by multiple times, clearly aware of the situation, and did nothing to address it, despite being the person who gave us the incorrect information in the first place. No apology. No clarification. No attempt to fix the mistake. We left without being seen after wasting an entire morning, gas, and a baby's schedule. This was disorganized, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. No regard for a parent's time; I had to take a day off work. If you are a parent considering this practice, confirm everything in writing, because verbal assurances apparently mean nothing here.

I am writing this in response to the owner's reply to my husband's review, because several key…read morepoints were either missed or deflected. First, whether or not Jessica was "scheduled with us" is irrelevant. The issue is that we were explicitly told in advance that our one-year-old's annual well visit would be in person, drove an hour with a baby based on that information, and were only informed upon arrival that it was telehealth. That is the failure. Second, regardless of internal confirmation policies, a one-year well visit cannot reasonably be conducted via telehealth. This visit requires weight, height, head circumference, physical examination, and developmental assessment. The owner's response does not address this at all, which is the most concerning part. Third, while the owner states she was unaware of the situation, she was physically present in the office during a prolonged and visibly contentious interaction at the front desk. Even if she did not know the details, this was clearly a family struggling with a scheduling issue involving a one-year-old, and no effort was made to step in, clarify, or de-escalate. Finally, we were never offered a meaningful solution at the time, only an after-the-fact explanation online. We left without our child being seen after a significant drive and disruption to our day. This experience reflects poor communication, lack of accountability, and a troubling normalization of telehealth for visits that clearly require in-person care. Parents should be aware of this before scheduling.

The doctor kept us waiting for 45 minutes and then entered the room to request the reason for my mom's visit (one would think he knew this answer already). He was told it was to review my mother's medications to determine what she should no longer need to take. He then threw out a few bottles. I was there to ask questions as to my mother's state of health since I was visiting. He asked where I was from, I said I was visiting from LA. Big mistake- started talking politics which is beyond unprofessional and truly uncalled for. He spent maybe 10 minutes with my mother, did not provide any physical exam, handed her husband a script written with a request for in-home care and then we were told the appointment was over and that she was scheduled to return in a month. Who writes a referral on a prescription pad? This confused her husband. To top it off, the referral was never handled. We were called to set up the referral on 11/13. My mother's appointment with the doctor was 10/24. My mother ended up in the hospital on 10/26 due to an infection she got from a wound on her leg. Had she been examined, we might have caught it sooner. I don't recommend this doctor. I live in a big city, his attitude matches it. No empathy. I am adding one star, because he was a referral from her pastor who is a kind man.
