I received excellent and reasonably priced treatment for realigning my upper and lower teeth to not hit (and prevent damage!) - and it was always such a nice experience. Good people who really care and really know their stuff. Whether you wind up primarily seeing the fabulous Dr. Mina or Dr. Bob (what a card!), you can't go wrong. Also loved that they can make their own "Invisilign," which is a more approachable option and works all the same. He is patient, kind, professional, and truly cares about his patients. Nina and the other dental assistants are also outstanding. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and consistently provide excellent care. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk, specifically Tifani Lively, changed my overall impression of the practice. Over time, her professionalism declined, and she repeatedly blurred the line between personal and professional interactions. On one occasion, she used my personal phone number, which was provided for my patient records, to contact me about personal matters unrelated to my treatment. After that, she contacted me several more times about personal matters. I chose not to respond to those communications because I wanted to keep our interactions strictly professional and limited to my care as a patient. I found this repeated contact to be highly inappropriate and a serious violation of my privacy. During another visit, while I was at the front desk scheduling my next appointment as instructed, she began discussing personal matters with me that had nothing to do with my care. This conversation took place during business hours and in front of other patients, making the interaction uncomfortable, unprofessional, and at times somewhat hostile in tone. I was scheduled for a retainer checkup on 8/5/2026 and confirmed my appointment the week before. Then, on 8/3/2026, I received a text message stating that my appointment had been canceled. No explanation was provided, and there was no attempt to reschedule. Given the repeated inappropriate personal contact over the weekend and the hostile nature of our most recent interaction, I am concerned that my appointment may have been canceled for reasons unrelated to my care and without Dr. Schwartz's knowledge. While I cannot confirm that this is what happened, the timing raises legitimate concerns. It is disappointing that the actions of one staff member overshadowed what was otherwise an excellent experience with Dr. Schwartz and the clinical team. I hope the practice takes these concerns seriously and reviews its policies regarding professionalism, patient privacy, and appropriate use of patient information so that no other patient has a similar experience.

Many of these orthodontists now have super busy offices, seeing 80 plus patients a day. These types of practices can leave you feeling a bit confused because no one has time to really talk with you due to so many patients. Dr Sheferrman, even though I only saw him for a consultation and not treatment, doesn't have that style of a practice. The others are not bad, it just depends on your patient-style as to what you prefer in an orthodontist. Adult patients normally are more interactive than child patients and Dr Shefferman has a majority of adults.

However, when I did go, the staff were so accommodating with my schedule and let me know when openings were available if someone cancelled last minute. Fortunately I lived in walking distance from the clinic so the convenience was a major factor. Although if you do not live close by, you have to find parking in the neighborhood I believe, unless there is a parking lot in the back - not 100% sure. I've had wonderful hygienists every time I've gone there and Dr. Samaddar is incredibly nice. However, every time I've gone she always suggests getting Invisalign, which based on conversations with a few of my dentist friends, is always something many dentists say to gain profit for their clinic (and Invisalign is not covered by insurance FYI). And sure - prevention is important. Giving SCSC the benefit of the doubt, one of the hygienists there was so thorough, and she was educational and suggested several ways I can maintain my teeth - I wish I remembered her name but kudos to her! All in all I would recommend this place only IF your insurance is in fact IN NETWORK!

The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They'll never rush you out the door or off the phone, even when they're packed. Every time I visit or call to make an appointment I have a fun chat with Sagan, and these folks always remember little details about my life the next time we talk. (They even noticed when I got a new haircut!) I've never had a medical team treat me so much like they really cared about me personally. This is probably why the waiting room always feels like such a pleasant place--even the fellow patients are friendly and chatty. These folks have worked with me with through three different insurance plans without any problems. You can also opt to be reminded of appointments via text, which is endlessly helpful for me. They're quick to reply to emails and scheduling is always super painless. Dr. Bruk is skilled, charismatic, and highly emotionally intelligent. He always explains things clearly and makes every effort to ensure his patients are relaxed and comfortable (even going so far as to change the music from jazz to Enya for me once during an extraction, ha).
