This was stop three of a Friday afternoon brewery crawl my friends and I did and it was great. The place is huge and there are a variety of breweries to try as well as many food options. Everything we had was great...I had a couple of beers from Heist brewing and I don't know where all the food came from but we had some great tater tots, brussels sprouts and onion rings. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and we could sample beers before committing to one. This was very easy to walk to from Triple C and Suffolk Punch so I'd suggest making an afternoon of visiting all of these places. It's also a quick walk to the East West Station on the tram so you can get there without having to drive!

With Charlotte's love for craft beer and local breweries, it seemed like a natural progression that eventually we would get a place like Distro Beer Hub, a single location that houses 4 different breweries. One thing the name might not indicate, is that the food here is phenomenal! I came here with some friends because a buddy of mine was hungry and claimed they have some of the best wraps. They also have a large selection of unique pretzels flavors, and I was really looking forward to trying their crab meat pretzel. Unfortunately they were out of crab meat that day. Oh well I will go back another time to try it, I settled for a wrap that day, in particular the Buffalo chicken wrap. My friend was right these wraps are great! The Buffalo chicken was served on a grilled chipotle pepper wrap which tasted amazing, and they packed it with some high quality chicken in a tasty sauce. In addition to wraps and pretzels they also offer wings, burgers, tacos, and much more. Just head on up and order at the window and they'll alert you by text when your food is ready. Cool place with plenty of drink options, and some surprisingly great food!

This place is amazing! As a craft beer lover, the options are limitless with 3 plus breweries located inside this place. The food is fresh, scratch made and delish! The service was great and the entire place has great vibes! Love the outdoor area!

Horrible service. Saturday evening and it will take 1+ hour to get a caesar salad wrap. Good luck!

Once inside, the space delivered. The outside terrace where we had happy hour was a highlight -- cute views of Charlotte and a nice sightline of Bank of America Stadium. Great spot to mingle before heading in. The interior was warm, temperature wise, but that's likely a seasonal thing with the heat still running. Minor and forgivable. The bathrooms were clean with one exception -- the full body mirror needed attention, which was a little disappointing for an otherwise polished space. Small detail but worth noting. Elevators worked without issue, which sounds like a low bar but matters more than people think for an event venue. Not sure how much of the equipment and staffing fell under the venue versus the event organizers, but the overall experience was enjoyable either way. It's a solid, attractive space for a nice gathering. Honestly I'd love to host something here myself. Would recommend for anyone looking for a venue with a nice Charlotte backdrop and easy accessibility.

As someone who moved here from the Bay Area and is still finding my favorite outdoor spaces in…read moreCharlotte, I'm always on the lookout for places that offer a little peace and beauty in the middle of a busy day. The McGill Rose Garden absolutely delivered on that. This is truly a beautiful venue--lush flowers everywhere, winding walk paths, and plenty of places to sit quietly and just take it all in. It's the kind of space where you can slow down, clear your head, and quite literally stop and smell the roses. I found it to be a wonderful spot for reflection, a casual stroll, or simply enjoying nature without needing to leave the city. One of the things I especially appreciated is that you can enhance the experience with a visit to the wine bar onsite, Rosie's Wine Garden, where you can grab a coffee, cocktail, or glass of wine and then wander the grounds at your own pace. It adds a relaxed, almost European feel to the whole experience. A quick heads-up: parking can be a bit tricky, as the entrance is off a busy street, so just take your time and be patient when pulling in. Once you're there, though, it's well worth the effort. Bottom line: If you're looking for a small but charming botanical-style garden in Charlotte--a quiet place to reset, reflect, and enjoy the outdoors--this is a lovely little gem. For me, it checked all the boxes and has become a welcome respite in the middle of a busy day.

It's like a personal garden with scattered benches and paths and tables. There's a ton of shade and a variety of plants to admire. Besides the pesky mosquitoes, I ADORE this place. Great service, a good selection of drinks, and an ambiance for a solo or group traveler to unwind. I definitely recommend this place.
