    Patio- dogs welcome

Fun place. Nice outdoor patio. Live music, open mic on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm. Great beers and we had plain cranberry juice too for a non alcohol choice. Dogs are welcome!

I was here for a special event so didn't try any of the drinks as I'm not really a beer/brewery type of girl. However I did like the ambience from what I could see. Staff I did interact with were all friendly.

Indoor seating, outdoor seating, great beer, onsite kitchen, tvs to watch your game. Town Brewing has a lot to offer! In the fall the Marzen, Sweet Carolina Pie, and Greenland food stand out. They even have Blocktoberfest in mid-September with bands and stein hoisting. Bat tenders are engaging and are happy to give you a taster. Food orders also start at the bar and you're given a buzzer to let you know when your meal is ready. When the weather is nice the garage doors are open, giving you a shady indoor spot and as well as a semi-covered outdoor area. If you're looking for a brewery where you could relax for the day, eat and drink, and be close to Uptown, check out Town Brewing.

Garlic Parmesan chicken wings and popcorn.

Awesome day at Town brewing. The space was great, both inside and outside. Just a nice warm feeling and very friendly staff. Great day to play some cards and watch football. Food was awesome, had the garlic Parmesan chicken wings and some popcorn, yum! Service, as always, was exceptional. They even filled up My growler with their Sweet Carolina beer (Sweet Potato Amber Ale. Amber Ale with Sweet Potatoes, Vanilla, and Nutmeg). It's almost gone don't miss out as it is seasonal, quite tasty.

Came here as a stop to wait for a friend to arrive and stop at another restaurant. This place had many beer options~ I got the hard tea, and a sour "cruise to nowhere", and they were good~ o preferred the Cruise to nowhere sour beer~ really solid choice~ They have plenty of seating inside and outdoor, with daily events based on the flyers. You order at the counter and get a pager for bar food. Ordered a simple salt and butter popcorn for the table. The popcorn took some time, and it was way too salty for our taste. Didn't even finish it. They have a self serve water station and restrooms that are well maintained. A very casual and fun stop for groups of friends~ you are here for beer, not too much for the food.

    Mocktail for Mrs. K.

A lovely early dinner here on a Sunday afternoon with most folks watching a football game on the televisions while Mrs. K. and I enjoyed a mocktail for her and a Town beer for me (Spratts). A short while later, the buzzer buzzed and our huge pile of nachos as ready for pickup. Strangely at the far side of the bar from the kitchen? Lots of toppings, crispy chips, plenty of cheese all over it. We ate it down to the bottom. Lots of parking here, a cool family-friendly vibe, lots of outside seating for when it's warm but a large inside dining area al day. Delightful! Nice place to hang out and enjoy beer and food. Large indoor and outdoor area. Order at the counter and then pickup when ready. Good flavor.

We are visiting in Charlotte and we're super glad that we went out of our way to find this place. It's in acute area and we love seeing the houses. The brewery is wide open with lots of room. They had a band plane very friendly atmosphere lots of families and kids and dogs and people playing card games. We were greeted at the counter by super sweet Server who is very helpful in finding the right beer. I even ordered a margarita. Don't tell anybody. It was tiny, but delicious. We enjoyed the music and the cool vibe and glad we stopped in.

Somehow we've missed this hidden gem nestled near downtown Charlotte before, but we will not make the same mistake twice. Great food, exceptional beer, and fantastic service! We have several "go-to" breweries in Charlotte and this will be our most recent addition. There were 4 of us in our group so we ordered several different appetizers including the crab rangoon dip, buffalo flatbread, nachos, and the pigs in a blanket (not pictured because gluttony). All of the food came out super quickly and was all absolutely delicious. My one critique would be the dip- the ratio of bread to dip was a little askew, but I just ended up eating the bread alone anyway because it was so good. We ordered 6 different beers total and all of them were outstanding! We had everything from IPA, hazy, pale ales, and a porter. We were all very impressed by the flavor profiles of each different beer and were eager to try as many as we could. There were several TVs inside and different little nooks in order to have a little privacy- perfect for playing board games or watching sports! This will absolutely be towards the top of the list when returning to Charlotte, can't wait to come back!

It seems like this place has a ton of potential, we may have just had a slight stream of bad luck on most of the food. Enjoyed the nice and modern interior though coming in the afternoon the sun blasts right in through the large garage doors which makes anyone of the sunny side of the table have a tough view. Beer selection was good enjoyed our IPA and the Wheat Lager they had. Food is where is seemed so close but missed the mark on several things: Pretzel had potential but was almost stale. The pimento cheese dip though was both unique and delicious. The pesto Mac and cheese again unique and delicious but there were cool parts in the square we got (it just needed to be hotter). The chicken salad sandwich was again a unique spin (loved the dill lean in the flavor) and the bun was perfect. Issue though was it wasn't shredded or chopped well enough so it was hard to bite through cleanly and created pockets of dryness in the sandwich (which you don't expect in a chicken salad sandwich). All of that said it had enough potential we'd come back and try again though.

Great option for the CLT brewery scene. Came on a Sat night around 6:30 and they had a band playing outside. The atmosphere is so inviting with people of all ages, with kids and lots of dogs. Great people watching :) I ordered the RP-1 Hazy IPA and loved it....in fact took a 4-pak home. They had a decent menu for food options and I went with the Nachos Camacho ($13) and it was pretty good. My bride ordered the Quattro Flatbread ($11) and didn't like it....in fact, she didn't eat it. We would definitely come back (and not order the flatbread).

This is a nice place near Freedom Drive and Morehead Street. It has spacious outdoor seating/gathering spots, one area has a fire pit. Service for food and drink are made at the bar. The staff members were efficient and got the orders out stat! I ordered the Cider and it was tasty and refreshing. I also ordered the Margherita Pizza - it was a bit bready for me but was edible. There are a few televisions to watch the latest sporting events. Private areas can be reserved in advance with food pairings/Hors d'oeuvres. This is a nice place to hang out with friends. They have many bear flavors including Chai Tea, which I will try on my next visit.

    Jalapeño Popper Flatbread
    Ashleigh B.

We stumbled upon this place that was right under our noses at a work event. I absolutely hated the dip. It was cold and I expected it to be warm. BUT the jalapeño popper flatbread was pretty good. I don't usually like beer so I ordered the frozen drink... yes it had beer but tasted sweeter than beer.

I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and it came with a side. I picked fries. They text you when the food is ready to be picked up. The wrap and fries were average and definitely not worth the wait. That was just half a day in, so naturally, I started feeling like Charlotte had passed me a note, "I like you, stay longer." The one thing I failed to respect was the Carolina summer sun. I desperately needed a hat. Sure, I could have gone to Target or the bike shop I passed earlier, but any civilized man knows the best place to buy a cap is a brewery. Untappd pointed me toward one of the most popular breweries in a city full of popular breweries: Burial Beer Co. Since I was driving, I kept things responsible and sampled taster-sized pours, spacing them out with non-alcoholic mocktails and 0.0 beer like a grown man who still wanted to remember where he parked. Burial also offers cocktails, ICEEs, low-ABV session beers, THC beverages, wine, and self-serve water. The menu helps you navigate the offerings with color-coded sections: cocktails in blue, light-bodied beers in neon green, dark ales in orange, and high-ABV options in pink. Food isn't available onsite, but delivery gets the green light. I grabbed a corner seat at the bar, not because I wanted to brood, but because the post-brunch crowd had arrived in full force with babies, buddies, and dogs. Every bartender and guest I spoke with treated me like I had wandered into a neighborhood clubhouse instead of a brewery. They gave recommendations, bought me a drink, and one even helped me pick out a hat. Southern hospitality is alive and well at Burial Beer Co., a place that turned a shopping trip into a welcome party, proving that Charlotte knows how to beat the heat with good pours, good people, and better merch.

Updated Review (2026):…read more We've been coming to Gilde since they opened their doors in 2022. When we first began coming, they served delicious authentic German food. Unfortunately, they've changed their menu a dozen times and have removed our favorites from the menu (the original braised pork (they changed it over time, but the original was amazing) and the goulash) :( They have slowly evolved their menu into bar food to cater to the party-going crowd as their street has become more trafficked -- which now means a greater likelihood of having to succumb to the paid parking garage. We're big fans of their beers and did a brewery tour & tasting when Gilde was at its peak. Their beers are the reason I at least give them 2 stars: the pale wheat and red rooster are especially delicious. We even spent our NYE 2025 there and did the stein-holding competition. We've tried new things on the menu, desperate to give them more tries... but we keep ending up disappointed. For example, the steak sandwich is not a steak sandwich, but rather a kebab. We've driven the 40 min drive to go there and show up and then they are closed for a private event (with no notice on their social media). We have also brought friends there and have waited an hour for a server. Last Mother's Day, we showed up for dinner at 7:45 p.m (sure, that's a tad late.. but we left our home at 7) and were told the kitchen was already closed. This Mother's Day, we waited 45 minutes, with no updates or warnings, to be seen by a server. When we tried to place our order, we were told that we couldn't yet place our food order and that we had to order drinks separately because their kitchen was slammed. I'm no expert, but why not still accept customer's orders and speed up the kitchen by bulk-cooking? Can't multiple brats be made at once? Or larger portions of sauerkraut or bacon? Also, only a third of the tables were taken.. so that sounds like some poor kitchen capacity. When we were finally served our food (still took awhile even after putting in the food order), they had served my husbands meal 10 min before mine and then I was served mine.. and it turns out they still had forgotten about our daughter's French toast and had to START it. The disorganization or perhaps just lack of effort/care has gotten ridiculous. So disappointed at the way our favorite restaurant went downhill!

HUGE thank you to Legion…read more Our company, Opkalla, held its big team Midyear dinner at Legion last night (which I'm responsible for planning), and I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience planning with Gabby, through the event itself for about 50 people. Before I even get into the event itself though, none of it would've been possible without Gabby being such an absolute joy to work with throughout all of the planning leading up to it. During the planning phase she made my life about 100 times easier instead of harder, which is saying something because that's definitely not always the case with venues and I've experienced the other side of that coin elsewhere! From the second we arrived, we were treated with genuine attention and enthusiasm (not to mention, HUSTLE!) I was running around so much all day that I can't believe I'm blanking on a couple of the girls' names now...I remember Kayla's name specifically for some reason...but EVERY single server, bartender, etc working our event was absolutely AMAZING. (As an aside, I worked in hospitality for years, so I know firsthand how much goes into pulling off a private event like ours. Legion's team last night made the entire evening seem effortless.) Drinks were flowing and refilled so quickly, everyone was constantly checking in with me to see if we needed anything, the food was fantastic, and while I didn't catch his name in the middle of all the celebrating, the steak carver you assigned to our event was such a great guy too and SO wonderful with our team. I genuinely can't find the right -- or enough -- words to explain how impressed I was with the entire experience, from the planning process all the way through the end of the night. This was probably the first large team event I've been responsible for, whether at Opkalla or any previous company, where I actually got to relax at times during the event and almost felt like a guest instead of just the planner!! You have no idea how refreshing that was. (Not that I would've minded running around putting out fires if I had to; that occasionally just comes with the territory and was definitely the case earlier that day prior to Legion!) Legion handled everything so seamlessly that I barely had to do any "work" during the event beyond enjoying the evening and checking in with our team. It was obvious everyone had everything they needed, and even more obvious that everyone was having an absolute blast. Thank you again for making this such an incredible experience. It was truly one of the smoothest, most enjoyable events I've ever been a part of, and that's a huge credit to Legion's events team and serving/bartending staff. I can't wait to work with them again for future events, and to recommend them to others I know who are often in need of event venues! THANK YOU AGAIN, GABBY AND LEGION!
