Checked this brewery out while visiting for a private event and really enjoyed the vibes. There's a large outdoor part and it was the perfect evening to be outside. They had a live artist singing and playing guitar on a small stage under a tent. It was really such a relaxing vibe for a weeknight. I tried one of their ipa's and really liked it, I can't remember the name. Friendly staff, great seating and great beer. This was a win for me. The space here is fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor seating options and plenty of room for larger groups. It also looks like they host a variety of events throughout the week, which gives the place a fun community feel and makes it more than just a restaurant. Great local brewery with surprisingly solid food and fun atmosphere! We went on an immaculate Friday evening, and the patio was poppin' with live music. There's plentiful seating both inside and outside, so we didn't have any trouble finding a table. We ordered pretzels, which were served warm with malt salt and delectable beer cheese. We also got the chicken tenders with Thai chili sauce. I'm glad we got the sauce on the side because it was SPICY. These also came with some veggies and blue cheese on the side. To drink, we got two of Town's beers on tap: the Western Sky blood orange wheat (seasonal) and the Broken Tarted raspberry and hibiscus sour. There were lots of families with young kids and pups! They even have Blocktoberfest in mid-September with bands and stein hoisting. Bat tenders are engaging and are happy to give you a taster. Food orders also start at the bar and you're given a buzzer to let you know when your meal is ready. When the weather is nice the garage doors are open, giving you a shady indoor spot and as well as a semi-covered outdoor area. This place had many beer options~ I got the hard tea, and a sour "cruise to nowhere", and they were good~ o preferred the Cruise to nowhere sour beer~ really solid choice~ They have plenty of seating inside and outdoor, with daily events based on the flyers. You order at the counter and get a pager for bar food. Ordered a simple salt and butter popcorn for the table. The popcorn took some time, and it was way too salty for our taste. Didn't even finish it. They have a self serve water station and restrooms that are well maintained. A lovely early dinner here on a Sunday afternoon with most folks watching a football game on the televisions while Mrs. K. and I enjoyed a mocktail for her and a Town beer for me (Spratts). A short while later, the buzzer buzzed and our huge pile of nachos as ready for pickup. Strangely at the far side of the bar from the kitchen? Lots of toppings, crispy chips, plenty of cheese all over it. We ate it down to the bottom. Town is such a great place for groups or even date night! They also sponsor my husbands softball league which I think is really cool for them supporting the Charlotte community! They have amazing food (I recommend the flatbreads) andddd the best part, they serve dog treats and food for dogs so you can bring them and they have something special too! We are visiting in Charlotte and we're super glad that we went out of our way to find this place. It's in acute area and we love seeing the houses. The brewery is wide open with lots of room. They had a band plane very friendly atmosphere lots of families and kids and dogs and people playing card games. We were greeted at the counter by super sweet Server who is very helpful in finding the right beer. I even ordered a margarita. Don't tell anybody. It was tiny, but delicious. Somehow we've missed this hidden gem nestled near downtown Charlotte before, but we will not make the same mistake twice. Great food, exceptional beer, and fantastic service! We have several "go-to" breweries in Charlotte and this will be our most recent addition. There were 4 of us in our group so we ordered several different appetizers including the crab rangoon dip, buffalo flatbread, nachos, and the pigs in a blanket (not pictured because gluttony). All of the food came out super quickly and was all absolutely delicious. My one critique would be the dip- the ratio of bread to dip was a little askew, but I just ended up eating the bread alone anyway because it was so good. We ordered 6 different beers total and all of them were outstanding! We had everything from IPA, hazy, pale ales, and a porter. We were all very impressed by the flavor profiles of each different beer and were eager to try as many as we could. There were several TVs inside and different little nooks in order to have a little privacy- perfect for playing board games or watching sports! This will absolutely be towards the top of the list when returning to Charlotte, can't wait to come back! read more

It seems like this place has a ton of potential, we may have just had a slight stream of bad luck on most of the food. Enjoyed the nice and modern interior though coming in the afternoon the sun blasts right in through the large garage doors which makes anyone of the sunny side of the table have a tough view. Beer selection was good enjoyed our IPA and the Wheat Lager they had. Food is where is seemed so close but missed the mark on several things: Pretzel had potential but was almost stale. The pimento cheese dip though was both unique and delicious. The pesto Mac and cheese again unique and delicious but there were cool parts in the square we got (it just needed to be hotter). The chicken salad sandwich was again a unique spin (loved the dill lean in the flavor) and the bun was perfect. Issue though was it wasn't shredded or chopped well enough so it was hard to bite through cleanly and created pockets of dryness in the sandwich (which you don't expect in a chicken salad sandwich). All of that said it had enough potential we'd come back and try again though. read more

Great option for the CLT brewery scene. Came on a Sat night around 6:30 and they had a band playing outside. The atmosphere is so inviting with people of all ages, with kids and lots of dogs. Great people watching :) I ordered the RP-1 Hazy IPA and loved it....in fact took a 4-pak home. They had a decent menu for food options and I went with the Nachos Camacho ($13) and it was pretty good. My bride ordered the Quattro Flatbread ($11) and didn't like it....in fact, she didn't eat it. We would definitely come back (and not order the flatbread). read more

This is a nice place near Freedom Drive and Morehead Street. It has spacious outdoor seating/gathering spots, one area has a fire pit. Service for food and drink are made at the bar. The staff members were efficient and got the orders out stat! I ordered the Cider and it was tasty and refreshing. I also ordered the Margherita Pizza - it was a bit bready for me but was edible. There are a few televisions to watch the latest sporting events. Private areas can be reserved in advance with food pairings/Hors d'oeuvres. This is a nice place to hang out with friends. Great brewery and we really enjoyed our visit here. We stopped by to have a beer or two before our flight out at the airport. We got a couple IPA's and Hazy IPA's along with a couple of their hard tea's. The IPA's were balanced and refreshing. My wife really enjoyed the tea's and wished we lived closer to the brewery so we could get them regularly. We also had the grill cheese special and plate of nachos. Both were great and hit the spot. This place is such a wonderful part of the neighborhood. It is just off the greenway and a great place to stop in and break up an evening walk. We love to come here to split a drink and grab a quick bite. They have plenty of n/a options and their beer never disappoints. I know this is a strange reason to love a brewery but... their popcorn 10/10. I come here all the time just to get some of their delicious popcorn. It is the best. Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at Town Brewing. It was a beautiful day so we say outside. I brought my dog Ted who quickly made friends with the other pet goers. I love they are pet friendLy. They even have bowls of water set out or you can ask for one for your dog. We each had flights so we could try the different flavors. Wish I remembered which ones I tried but I i was busy with Ted. Regardless it really didn't matter because they were all very good. We also had a few appetizers. The large soft pretzel with pimento cheese was a winner as was the margarita flat bread. They were both delicious. The flatbread was a very small portion so if you plan to share bee prepared to order more. I thought they were a bit pricey for the size and type of snack we got. $10-12. I thought this brewery was a pleasant surprise! Plenty of parking, and outside seating with several tables and sun shades. The inside was open with chairs and tables along with couches. The service was quick and they had a nice selection of beers and they also had a decent food selection too! No gluten free options other than popcorn so we tried that and for $2 it was fantastic! My cousin just moved down the street from Town Brewing in Wesley Heights and we decided to walk over last weekend to check it out. We loved the vibe and the employees were super friendly and helpful on suggesting beers! I think our favorite part was the different flavor popcorns for $2!!!! We did end up getting some food because we were starving and we weren't super impressed. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip and it was served cold... with non toasted, very dry bread. Please make your buffalo chicken dip hot and serve with baked or toasted bread or even chips and veggies!!! It would be so much better. The flavor was great, it was just odd being cold. We then ordered a pesto, tomato and bacon flatbread. It was pretty good, but the dough/bread part was a bit soggy from the toppings so everything slid off when you went to pick up a piece. Overall the two options we picked were super bread heavy, which we didn't mean to do. I really like this place and will definitely be back to try additional beers and other great drinks. We had a wonderful lunch at Town! I tried the beer called "Darkness called coffee" beer which was excellent! Love the notes of coffee flavors!! The beer called "Emotional support badger" was also great! We had lunch--my choice was the flatbread with prosciutto, goat cheese and arugula. It was tasty and had wonderful balsamic drizzle on top. The others had the special steak sandwich and Brussels sprouts side. The Brussels sprouts were yummy with balsamic vinegar drizzle and so tender!! They liked the steak sandwiches too. One person liked the pretzel appetizer also. The parking was busy in a nearby lot. I liked the patio and the couches inside. You have to get your own food and beers, no table service. So sad to give 2 stars, but that was our experience. The good: we were able to order of beer and food fairly quickly. The patio is dog friendly. The bad: The food is so so disappointing. The charcuterie is $24 if you want both meat and cheese. The cheese OR meat boards are $10 each. We ordered a cheese board and pork belly. The beers are decent. The ugly: the pork belly was AWFUL. So insanely salty and tough; not even edible. We threw it away. The cheese board had 3 tiny pieces of cheese, bread, fruits and jam. Not worth the money at all. New kid on the block. I really like their "branding" of the van carried throughout. Their taproom is beautiful with warm woods and a modern blue gray that mimics the blue found on the van parked outside of the outdoor patio. Large garage doors line the space for when good weather comes around and even a bar to extend service outside (no need to awkwardly hold multiple beers and open the door with your back/butt). The really surprising thing here was the food. Definitely surprised at what is coming out of the kitchen here. The barkeep raves about their special, lamb Mac and Cheese and it did not disappoint. We tried the glazed carrots and turnips (went well with the Mac and cheese) and the beet deviled eggs. Servers and bar tenders are super attentive and cleared our table promptly. I'm always a fan of people that keep tidy places.... and the gorgeous decor here don't warrant dirty dishes laying around to block the view. It's about time this side of town add more breweries. The parking lot is shared with the Rhino Market and surrounding businesses. As far as the beer goes, I've only tried two... and they were definitely solid. I'm not sure if they've found their "flagship" beer just yet. Keep doing what you are doing with your food and I'm sure the beer will compliment and round out the entire Town Brewing experience. read more

We came here for a happy hour recently and it was a great space! The taproom is large inside. They have big tables by the bar and smaller ones in the back. They also have an area with games, shuffleboard, and couches. The outdoor patio was my favorite pastry. There are tons of tables and it was the perfect place to enjoy our recent warm weather. I don't drink beer, so I appreciated that they had Lenny Boy kombucha on tap (although I wish more places had some of the other great local kombuchas). The people I talked to said the beer was pretty good. We were hungry, so we got the pear and prosciutto flat bread, the lamb mac and cheese, and the pimiento cheese toast. The pimiento cheese toast came with a tomato jam and it was quite good. We also enjoyed the flat bread. We were disappointed by the mac and cheese though. When we first got it, it was cold (not luke warm, cold). They were very apologetic and brought us one that was warm. Unfortunately, it just didn't have any flavor. I couldn't taste any cheese, just cream. Overall, I think the food was pretty good with just I've miss. The brewery was a great place to hang out. It wasn't too loud and there were a quite a few people there, but it wasn't a zoo like some other breweries. I'd recommend checking it out! read more

Such a great addition to the Charlotte brewery scene! Plus it gives love to the west side of Charlotte! It's a perfect place to meet up after work or before/after the Panthers game. Not only do they have a solid rotation of beers, but they also have a delicious food menu. I appreciate a brewery that also has creative and beer focused food. They also incorporate local farms as much as they can. Their outside space is nice too. Even though it's in the parking lot, they have transformed it in a way that makes it feel completely different. The patio space is dog friendly too and there's a walk up area to the bar from the outside, so you don't have to worry about leaving your dog to get another round! read more
