Really cute ambiance outdoors playing music from the 2000's. Vast menu for drinks, coffee, etc, with great pastries. Apparently they do a coffee school or you can book out a barista for 90 mins for 70 Euros for a 2 person session, so it would be a great experience for coffee lovers. The strawberry matcha is delightful! I wasn't a fan of the club sandwich but the sweet potato fries were fresh and perfectly crispy. The eggs Benedict looked so cute and round. The waiters were so friendly and apologetic for a short delay in our food arriving. Convenient and close to third wave coffee, which is a rare thing in Italy. Not the milky stuff that traditional spots serve. Friendly, English speaking staff. Plenty of options if you want them. Looks and feels like a modern urban coffee shop. Not for the "true" Italian experience, but if you want that there's countless bars and once or twice was enough for me before I wanted good coffee again. Tired of the typical Italian food, check out this place! They have great American style breakfast options. We got an iced salted caramel latte, caesar salad, American style pancakes with berries, side of bacon and scrambled eggs. Portion size was perfect, not overly big nor small. The latte was good, tasted more like a vanilla latte with a hint of caramel. The salad was good but towards the end it got a little salty because of the Parmesan cheese and bacon but overall a solid Caesar. Pancakes were nice and fluffy, not overly sweet, bacon was crispy and the scrambled eggs were well-seasoned and soft. Waitress and staff were really nice and accommodating. read more

One of the few coffee cafes that serves eggs. We enjoy a pastry with an espresso, but after two weeks in Italy we found our self craving more for breakfast. The nice part about Italy is that there seem to be cafes everywhere. DA (Artisinal Business) was located right outside our airBNB. After lunch and some sightseeing in Florence, mija & ITC wanted to shop. I just wanted to sit and have a refreshing cocktail. In this case I chose an Americano. Other popular ones in Italy are aperol spritzes or negronis. The drink was perfect on a hot day (92 F). It was simply nice to sit, relax and people watch. Regarding the ambiance, most seating is in the back, but there is some seating inside. There were a lot of SBUX types who simply wanted the wifi. Nonetheless, there were others who wanted something light to eat, cold to drink, or an afternoon coffee. The service was friendly & warm. I'm not a cafe person, so I forget an Americano is a coffee drink also. I had to specify "cocktail" - LOL. DA is a nice place to rest your feet after walking around all the sites in Florence nearby like Pitti Palace, Piazzo del Michelangelo and the Ponte Vedre. read more

I have been visiting Ditta Artigianale for years and can honestly say it's my favorite coffee shop in Florence. My friend and I recently stayed in Florence for a few weeks. Since we were working remotely, we used Ditta Artigianale as our "office." Not only is the coffee good, but the service is excellent. It got to the point that the servers knew us by name! As if that weren't enough the food is GREAT! Their pastries are wonderful, but my friend and I became obsessed with their Mediterranean salad and their sweet potato fries. The fries are probably the best sweet potato fries I've ever had, and I live in the States, so that's saying something. I love Ditta so much I even bought a t-shirt! read more

Very nice place for coffee. But even by Italian standards, the service is not just slow, it is not correct. If you walk in and get a coffee to go, you go to the front of the line. We have been waiting over 15 minutes in the front bar for one espresso. Still nothing. We have paid. We may leave without our coffee. Discovered my coffee sat waiting for 10 minutes. It is cold. The person to serve the bar area was doing other things. I was not allowed to get it myself. For sure, get to go if you prefer hot coffee. read more

This is a great place to come and have a lovely, Ceres for beverage. Whether in the morning for a great, really great coffee or in the afternoon for a lovely apertivo or after dinner beverage. They present their drinks very well and make you feel special. The staff all speak English, but please try your best Italian. It's more fun. They have a limited, simple and delicious menu. So it's not really a dinner destination, but it will serve your hunger for a decent snack and a well done cocktail without the pretense. Although they don't have beer on tap. Absolutely recommend this place for someone looking for a quick cappuccino to go or to sit down for breakfast/brunch. The stuff is so welcoming and friendly. The baristas are so much fun to watch m. Multiple great locations around the city. The Palazzo Pitti San spirito district one is young and artsy. It's a busy place with many configurable seatings: counter and couches on the ground floor, order at the counter and pay later with your receipt at the register. A spiral staircase leads up to theater seats and dining tables taken care of by diff staff. Pastries, cupcakes and cappuccino (if ordering more than one then it is cappuccini). There's also breakfast food interesting unique flavored toasts, kids menu, WiFi! Great for people watching, enjoying street art right outside the window. This place is outstanding! After about a week in Italy we were tired of the same old pastries and boring sandwiches available everywhere as breakfast options. So happy we stumbled onto this place. Their breakfast menu is varied and excellent. The peanut butter pancakes blew me away (not too sweet and wonderfully dense) and my croque madame hit the spot. My SO had a brilliant egg and avocado dish. Coffee was excellent too and it was nice to have a sit down morning meal. Anytime I'm back in Florence this will be my regular breakfast spot. read more

Ummm am I in SF? Or Stockholm? Ditta Artingale has good food, great coffee, cool design, and cold service--I felt right at home. Our group ordered a couple different espresso drinks, scrambled eggs, a croque madame, a smoked salmon mini sandwich, and the ditta breakfast (a sampling of eggs, yogurt, ham and cheese). I was surprised by how tasty the scrambled eggs were-- I had just assumed that this was a coffee shop and that the food would just be meh. This place is great for groups bc there's a large-ish seating area upstairs. If we need breakfast again, this would be my preference in Florence. read more

It was really popular when I got there so I had high hopes. The presentation was really pretty and the food looked great. However, the chai tea latte was luke warm and not flavorful. The cinnamon on top was too much and the foam was cold. I asked for a hot drink. The pancakes were mediocre for the price. It was about 8/9 Euros. They were bland and nothing special. I was disappointed and couldn't finish anything. Overall, the restaurant is beautiful and everything looks instagram ready.
