We had a wonderful experience working with Ditto for our wedding. Included in his package is an engagement shoot, which we did at Filoli - they were perfect for our save the dates and guestbook at the wedding. Ditto is such a kind and amazing photographer. And if you love his style of photography, he's definitely the way to go! I contacted Ditto in 2019 for a wedding in late 2020. Obviously that didn't work out, but in 2021 we had the opportunity to work with Ditto twice! Once for our maternity shoot and again for our micro-wedding a month later. He was as flexible as one could be and worked with us in scheduling. On the days of, Ditto did a wonderful job guiding us in what to wear as well as what poses to get into, and they looked natural! I am so happy that we got to work with him for our wedding day (: In the weeks leading up to my civil ceremony, Ditto was very easy to communicate with over email. Our experience with Ditto Dianto Photography was so wonderful all around! We booked Ditto back in 2019 after he took photos for our friends wedding. He came highly recommended and we're so glad we decided to go with him. Originally our wedding was supposed to take place in August 2020, but due to the pandemic--we had to postpone our big day an entire year. Ditto was understanding and totally willing to work with us on rescheduling his services to our new wedding date. In our package, he offered an engagement session which we like to call our "practice round." My husband and I are far from photogenic, and we definitely feel awkward when it comes to posing for photos. Nonetheless, Ditto made it so easy for us. We had the honor of working with Ditto for our city hall ceremony, a photo session for my grandparents, and most recently for our wedding ceremony and reception. Ditto was amazing! We got in touch with Ditto 3 months before our pandemic downsized wedding. We were planning to have the indoor wedding on December, but because of the regulations, we decided to move it forward to outdoor wedding in November. Planning and pre wedding: Ditto were very responsive to my texts and calls, even in weekends and after 10pm (sorry ditto for bothering you after hours ). I wasn't expecting that he will reply me but he did. We did not hire him for our engagement because we won some engagement giveaway, but we were planning to hire him because he is a very personable person. Ditto and Danya were amazing at our 50-person outdoor ceremony/indoor reception wedding. Ditto was very responsive throughout the planning process, giving us advice for flowers, and clarifying our vision for the wedding. Ditto and Danya were at the venue early, had the shot list ready to go -- when we got our portraits taken at a nearby park (~5 mins walk from the venue), we were tight on time, but Ditto did a genius job setting us up in great poses with our 1 foot height difference, and made sure we were back in time for the ceremony. The two also took a lot of great pictures of our guests, and everyone was impressed by how they seemed to capture the best expressions of everyone. I think every person who was at our wedding was in a photo at least 3 times. Even with the busy wedding season, Ditto delivered us the gallery on time (4 weeks after the wedding). Wow wow wow! If I could give Ditto more than 5 stars, I would! This will be a long review as I have so much to rave about Ditto and everything he did for us. He truly made our day go smoothly and was there for every big and small moment to capture it. I found Ditto after browsing aimlessly on IG and stumbled upon his profile. I was so impressed with his pictures and the vibes/feels I got from them that I contacted him almost immediately. He was quick to respond and we made arrangement to meet up shortly after. He showed us his portfolios from the weddings he'd completed before and we were blown away by the quality. We knew he was the one and booked him about a week later :). When we set up our engagement photoshoot, Ditto gave us a lot of suggestions on locations, and he was so thoughtful to let us know of the minor details that we may not have thought of such as sun set time, poses to consider, etc. He was patient, understanding, and very flexible with us. And, we got our pictures 2-3 days after the shoot! Crazy fast! I don't know how he did it, but he's a wizard! On our wedding day, Ditto and Corinna were there for us. I wish I could give Ditto more than 5 stars! Ditto and Vivian shot both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. I couldn't be more pleased with our experience. They really went above and beyond what I expected. I searched for WEEKS looking for a photographer that shot in the style I wanted (natural lighting, dreamy, romantic style) and always came up with photographers that were way out of our budget. I came across an ad from Ditto on Craigslist by accident while I was searching for wedding supplies and immediately knew I had found our photographer. Ditto's style was exactly what I was looking for, and his price range very reasonable for the Bay Area. Engagement: We had our engagement shoot about 7 months before the wedding and selected a location in the Bay Area (Sunol Wilderness). Ditto spent three hours with us wandering around the park through several dress changes. Neither my now-husband or I have much experience modeling in front of a camera, but Ditto had us laughing easily, and made us feel completely comfortable being ourselves. He had great ideas for poses and modeling us, and was very excited to work with our own ideas as well. The photos were absolutely dreamy, and we got so many compliments on them! Wedding: Ditto and Vivian met with us twice (once before our engagement shoot, and once before the wedding) and really took the time to get to know us, our style, and the type of wedding we were hosting. They arrived at our hotel for "getting ready" photos, and then worked their tails off during the wedding, staying the entire time to get perfect shots. They even had a fun instant Polaroid type camera to take photos with at the wedding and give to our guests (who loved it!). They somehow ended up being everywhere all at once, and so we have about 1000 photos from our special day. I should also mention that Ditto shoots with both a digital and film camera. It's rare to find photographers nowadays that shoot with film -- and the film photos are so beautiful. Let me start with this: If you want to be able to relive your big day over and over whenever you want, Ditto is your man. Professional, passionate, calm, punctual, discrete, attention to detail... Working with Ditto was a wonderful dream. His photo quality is obviously world class. Prior to hiring Ditto, we met with him over coffee. Even though he's located across the bay, he willingly met with us near our home. We chatted about logistics, he answered all our questions and we got to know each other a bit. We really liked our chat, so we promptly signed the contract and paid the deposit online. In spring, we reached out to Ditto to book the included engagement 2hr photo session. We agreed to meet him in the afternoon at Point Reyes Station and carpool the rest of the way to the Cypress Tree Tunnel. Unfortunately Bay Area Friday traffic was much heavier than we anticipated and it made us 45 minutes late to our meet up. We message him throughout our drive to apologize and give updated ETAs. Ditto was super nice about it and we were so thankful. During the photoshoot Ditto gave us good modeling directions and kept it comfortable and fun which we also really appreciated since we'd never done a photoshoot like this before. We sent him a mobile tip to show our appreciation for his time and professional services. To our surprise Ditto sent us the finished pictures within a week. About a week before our wedding, Ditto informed us that our second photographer changed. He, of course, vouched the new photographer and after all was said and done we think she did a good job. Our wedding was a full day summer event in Newcastle CA. We started the day with traditional Chinese Door Games and a Tea Ceremony. Ditto showed up a little early to scout the venue and despite not scheduling him to shoot that part of the day, he offered to anyway. We took lunch and our MUA arrived and began with the bridesmaids and mothers. Ditto's second photographer, Bianca, arrived and began taking photos. Ditto brought his stamp, ribbons, and picked beautiful flowers from our venue for the detail shots. We offered them both lunch and vendor meals for dinner. We took bridal party and first look photos, each photographer with either the bride or groom. When it was time for the ceremony processional, Ditto and Bianca took their places. During the ceremony, we barely noticed them. During cocktail hour, they shot photos of all configurations of the bridal party and each family side and went to snap photos of our guests. Ditto previously sent us an example wedding day agenda, complete with photo op suggestions. One of his recommendations was photos at sunset which we decided to try. We had to sneak away during dinner, but these turned out to be some of our favorite photos. As the night wound down, Ditto took pictures of our 1st dances, the cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses and guest dancing. Ditto ended up staying longer than we booked him for to get all of the classic shots. Ditto sent us a sneak preview the day after our wedding! And within a few weeks, he sent us the finalized wedding photos and they were truly amazing! It was important to my husband and me that we felt connected to our wedding vendors, and that they genuinely care about their clients. From the moment we met Ditto, we basically had our mind made up. He turned out to be the one and only photographer we met in person; after inquiring online with a handful of other photographers, we made up our mind to go with Ditto simply because he was so easy going, genuine, and professional. When we told Ditto we wanted our engagement session to be done at Mount Diablo, he let us know he had not been there before but was open to doing some research on the best spots. Indeed he did, and it turned out to be such a fun day! My husband and I are not necessarily "picture people," so we were worried we wouldn't know how to pose or look natural, but Ditto guided us from the get-go. It was fun chatting and getting to know him as well, and our e-session solidified our choice of hiring him as our photographer. We received the edited engagement pictures in just one short week! On the day of our wedding, Ditto showed up much earlier than agreed upon, and got straight to work. He kept a smile on his face throughout the entire day, and without him knowing it, he actually calmed my nerves throughout the day, especially when I was starting to feel stressed out at one point. I'm so glad we found Ditto & Vivian to photograph our wedding. Ditto was really communicative from the start, always replying to emails promptly and making sure all our questions were answered. We set up an engagement shoot with them in April and they had suggestions for locations that they scouted out ahead of time so the actual shoot was really quick and easy. Ditto & Vivian are really friendly, easygoing, and made us feel comfortable during the shoot, and they had all of our photos ready the very next day. It was the same story on our wedding day. Ditto & Vivian arrived exactly when we'd scheduled, and had already scouted out locations around the venue that would work for photos at different times of day. They grabbed us water when we got thirsty, helped us walk over rocks and grassy pathways, and yet still managed to melt into the background so they could capture really natural shots of us. We woke up the next morning to an email from Ditto saying he'd already set up a sneak peek of our photos, with at least 40 really beautiful shots from throughout the day. We requested for Ditto's Photography services for our September 2017 wedding and we are glad that we did! We just had our engagement photo shoot in downtown San Francisco with Ditto. It was freezing cold but Ditto still made it fun. Here is why I gave him five stars: Ditto replied quickly to our emails. He scouted out the area on his own time before the shoot. He is a funny personable guy and made us laugh during our photo shoot, so we didn't have to fake any smiles. Could not have picked a better photographer for our wedding day!! We (including all our guests) absolutely love all of the photos he took for us! He got to our place early to take pictures of the details shots. He was so prepared and even brought his own props! He even helped us positions the wedding dress and the bridal party dresses. I had some of the ideas that I wanted for my wedding in mind and he was really open and happy to try them out and made it work for me. Our wedding reception was at a Chinese Restaurant, which was super dark and old looking, but all the pictures in there came out so bright and light. Our ceremony was at a church and he even went there a few days before the wedding to look for spots for pictures. He even sent pictures of the spots to me since I said that I have never been there before. It was super hot and sunny on the day of the wedding but he walked around the church ground trying to find spots that would look good in the pictures and avoid the harsh shadows from the sun for us. I told him that I had a "good side" and he made sure to position me on my "good side" in the pictures! I wanted a walking out with sparklers shot but our reception was not outdoors so he did it next to the reception building for us and the pictures turned out so great! He worked with what we got and made it look 100x better in the pictures! He also delivered us the pictures of us and the guests at the backdrop super fast so that we can send out our thank you cards as soon as possible!
