We bought "VIP" tickets expecting a special experience near the front --but honestly, calling it "VIP" was laughable. The venue is so small that sitting in the bathroom could've been considered VIP. One of our guests even bought a $400 bottle of champagne, so between tickets and drinks, we easily spent close to $1,000. Despite that, when it came time to bring guests on stage, only brides who paid extra were allowed up front. We weren't even given the courtesy of being considered, despite our substantial spend. I'm no stranger to Diva Royale in NYC. This however was my first time attending the Atlantic City show. My girlfriend just got engaged and we thought this would be a fun way to celebrate. I'm glad to report the show there was just as good as the one in NY. I can't remember the hostess that took care of us but she was such a sweetie. Between the delicious food high quality drinks and of course the outstanding show it was worth every penny. We laughed so much! Every one of the drag queens did an excellent performance. I love getting to see the different celebrity impersonations at this location. But the best part really is the ambiance and customer service. Although they had many bridal parties They still really took care of us and were so accommodating. I look forward to going back and seeing what "celebrity" they'll have next. read more

We had an awesome time here Saturday night for my friend's bachelorette, but it was pretty different from what we expected from the website. $55 for a show and dinner was totally worth it, and we had our bride publically embarrassed for an extra $50. Expectation: 3 course dinner with menu posted online that included things like truffle mac and cheese, salmon, steak, chicken, etc. with options for us to choose from. Reality: No choice (we had to make a few calls and wait for our vegetarians to be accommodated), a dinky green salad, a mediocre chicken and pasta meal (spinach and mushrooms for the vegetarians), and a small chocolate mousse tart dessert. Tasted fine, but nothing to write home about. It is convenient to not have to rush through dinner to make an 8pm show. Expectation: The "best celebrity impersonations", with divas like Dolly Parton, Cher, Joan Rivers, and Michael Jackson (as advertised on the website). Reality: Some awesome lip syncs to Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga (slay, Jenna Tall, slay), but not really a show full of celebrity impersonations. Don't get me wrong, these queens were extremely talented, but it was more of a regular drag show than a full on snatch game (watch RPDR if you don't get this reference). Expectation: A lively atmosphere with lots of people, a parade of celebrity look alike drag queens, a large stage, and an awesome show. Reality: A much more intimate experience with 2 long tables in the middle, only one other party, 3 drag queens, and the show taking place on the floor just a few feet from us, with the queens coming by to dance with us (and accept dollar bills tucked into their cleavage, underwear, whatever). I can't stress how much fun we had and how talented the queens are: gorgeous makeup, sickening dance moves, elaborate costumes and an all around fun time. The highlight was definitely stuffing our bachelorette with dollar bills and having ChaChi Divine dance around her to get them all. The bartenders and DJ were great too and kept the alcohol flowing. Definitely a great event, conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the Tropicana, in the Anthem Lounge. Highly recommend for a bachelorette party, unique bday, girls night, etc. Call ahead if you have food restrictions and definitely get the hot seat if you're celebrating one person! read more

This was the worst drag show I have ever seen. One person did 5 acts, changing a wig does not take you from Celine Dion to Britney Spears. The entire show was about these few people collecting dollars. Dance for 20 seconds then go around and collect $1. In the end they brought up the Bachelorettes, told their friends and families to come up and cover them with dollars. Once done, they made the brides toss the money on the ground and some dude with a doggie poop scoop came and swept up the dollars. Any dollars left in the bachelorette's dresses was quickly removed by staff. The Drag King was a complete joke and just awkward and creepy. Cheesy, tacky, rip off. read more

If you love Drag, go anywhere else! The Palm Springs Dinner show is particularly bad. In the words of the customer service agent I spoke to "it's a watered down show"....its geared towards giving (sort of) lap dances to bachelorettes who probably do not know what good Drag is. The show I went to was 80% tired looking queens taking dollar bills off sloppy, drunk bachelorettes. We bought VIP seating and our seats was facing away from the stage. An ultimate dining experienced was advertised but we were served a fast food snack (chicken fingers for example) in a dingy, dark bar. The venue was sad and horrible as was the service. This experience cost us $100 a person. Other shows we saw in Palm Springs were amazing, in a festive, comfortable space and cost around $25 per person with good food. If you want the Ru Paul experience, go else where. The talent did not even look happy to be there! read more

We booked the VIP $60/person admission to the Diva Royale Show in New Orleans a weeks in advance for a Friday evening and on the day of the show was advised it was cancelled due to low ticket sales. We revised our plans in the city to accommodate a show the next afternoon and was told that in addition to the date/time change, there was also a venue change. Upon arrival in the area of the show, it was quite apparent this was not the upscale production we expected. and we were also skeptical when we stepped into a small cramped bar with wooden chairs for a stage show and the VIP seating only meant that we also had a small table to set drinks on during the show. The costumes, dance moves and song selections to lip-sync to were adequate and the "ladies" performing worked the room hard to get dollar bills stuffed into their hands and garments. Let me preface this by saying that I'm a huge fan of drag shows and I've been to quite a few (including Lips in NYC). We went here for my bachelorette party and I wasn't sure what to expect. The website makes it seem like it's always the same characters and that it's more of a chain/scripted show. I was hesitant to book because of this, but luckily, the website is totally misleading! None of the characters shown on the site were represented (but like I said, I was happy about that). Rather than Joan Rivers, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, etc., we got Beyonce, Britney Spears, Adele, and Christina Aguilera. This was a positive thing for me, but of course may be a bummer for others (one couple left early on and never came back). Anyways, the venue is SO COOL and super intimate. There were about 5 groups of people there and we were all surrounding the dance floor area. The hostess was AMAZING and took the time to go around and chat with each bachelorette party. There were three queens total but they all did at least 2 performances. In between each performance, the hostess would talk for a while or take a break to let us get another drink from the bar. Every performance was fantastic and they would use the whole dancefloor and come up and interact with you. I even got a lap dance! ;) Such a fun and unforgettable experience. I bought VIP tickets which got us a cute little cocktail table right in front of the stage. The host was fabulous (Misery was her name) she was entertaining and extremely comical. The other girls in the show were equally as entertaining with their gorgeous outfits and dancing. They did such a great job engaging the audience. There were two bachelorette parties and a couple birthdays there and they brought those guests on stage and had some fun with them. This is the email I sent multiple times with no response. Hello, My friends and I purchased 6 VIP tickets to the show on 3/23. The website was very misleading and led to our disappointment. We paid the extra for the VIP tickets bc it said expedited entry and VIP seating. The room was a small round area with couches along the outside and then 2 rows of about 10 folding chairs. There was absolutely no difference in seating VIP vs regular We would like a refund in the difference of VIP tickets verses regular tickets because -we were never let in faster or earlier then anyone there. -The seats we had were no different then the other seats. Yes, it was couch like seating and other seating was folding chairs but that was the only difference. Literally, the party right next to us paid for regular tickets bc we asked them and were just as close. There was also a point where someone from another party sat in our seating and nothing was said. -The room was a small round area with couches along the outside and then 2 rows of about 10 folding chairs. There was absolutely no difference in seating VIP vs regular especially for the price difference. We have pictures to show the different in seating etc if needed. There was also no table service and we had to go up to the bar ourselves, which made me miss a couple of the performances. The queens were super aggressive about taking tips. I took my mom down to Atlantic City for Mother's Day as we go every year. She wanted to do something fun and different so we bought tickets to try this show out. I got a text message 5 hours before the show telling me the venue went from Tropicana to a Gentleman club. I sent a text saying I'm not taking my mom to a strip club. The person sent a text stating that they have an agreement with the club that the people for the show go in another door. So basically your telling me it was never at the Tropicana since you have some sort of agreement with a strip club. Why would you switch from the Tropicana to a run down place. Don't you only sell a number of tickets that the Tropicana venue can hold?? Nothing sounded right at all, unfortunately we decided not to go. I'm over Atlantic City. read more

Don't pay the money for the VIP seating! They claim you get exclusive access to the first 6 rows. At the actual event, there is only one row. Seating is first come first serve, show up 5 minutes early and you can sit wherever you want. The extra cost gets you nothing. Show was good but the performers used the only men's bathroom on site to change throughout the show. Being one of the very few men at the show, I had to actually leave the venue and go to a restaraunt in the casino just to take a leak. The venue is a tiny nightclub that is open until 7am. It was 100% abandoned 10 minutes after the show ended at 10pm or so. Not really a rocking venue. The show is very much a tipping oriented event, so you will need to bring lots of singles. Almost the entire audience consisted of 2-3 bridal parties, there was one other male/female couple. read more

I've been to other drag shows and this is unlike the others. The venue was originally advertised to be at a respectable looking place - Anthem inside Tropicana in Atlantic City. I got a sketchy looking text msg around 2pm stating the venue changed to a side street dive Gentleman's Club, "Lace" for tonight's show because it was "Sold Out" and needed a bigger venue and to reply to the text msg if my party and I are still going. I went to the original web site and the venue location was still at Anthem and you could still buy tickets online. This was a bait and switch! I would not have bought $30 tickets (per person) had I known it was at a side street alley go-go bar, especially since the whole point was to be close to the venue IN Tropicana where we were staying. I was able to get in touch with someone at "Anthem" after much difficulty going through Tropicana guest services to get to this vendor, and I asked whether the text msg was legit. I also said one person in my group has an injured foot and has problems walking, but he quickly said there are no refunds and left it as that. (Mind you Lace is quite a distance on a side street off the boardwalk closer to Resorts than it is from Tropicana.) The show advertises "The Finest In Female And Celebrity Impersonation. Get Up Close And Personal With Your Host, Joan Rivers, And Her Guests Madonna, Dolly Parton, Celia Cruz, Liza Minnelli, And Our Honorary Diva, The King Of Pop, Michael Jackson! & More.. " There were only 3 drags taking turns changing costumes as Selena Gomez, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion. There was no impersonating other than wearing clothes the real singers wore and doing bad lip syncing and dancing for the audience. The only one that had potential trying her best with her own words interacting with the audience was the guy who played the Beyonce drag queen, but it still wasn't enough to carry the whole show. Tipping was heavily pushed. They brought out 2 brides individually to the stage and did lap dances for them. The whole thing was absolutely boring, but it cators to the drunk brides and their bridesmaids gangs who have never been or seen a real drag show. (They all raised their hands when Beyonce asked the audience who had never seen a drag show.) Another sketchy thing they did was take a picture of my credit card with a cell phone at the entrance even though my tickets were prepaid with the money taken out of my account already via EventBrite already days before. No one should ever be making copies of your credit card especially if you already paid days in advance via a web site. Turn around and spend your ~$30 plus tipping dollars elsewhere. This is not only false advertising but also a bait and switch with the location going from a respectable looking place that you wouldn't mind taking family and friends to (Anthem inside Tropicana next to their IMAX theater) to side street go-go bar, Stilletos / Lace where I was embarrassed to bring my two friends to AND was quite a distance from the original venue. read more

I attended this amazing drag show in Atlantic City last weekend for my best friend's birthday party. I had to stop by and make sure I expressed how thankful I am to everyone who had a hand in making this an amazing evening. We each bought VIP tickets which was suppose to include a three course meal and two hours before the show they called and canceled the meal, which we all had planned to eat dinner there. The man that called was such a jerk and was not apologetic AT ALL and didn't seem to care that they destroyed what I had planned for months. We went to the "show" which I quote because I wouldn't even call it a show. It was TERRIBLE!!!! Went here for a bachlorette party tonight, paid for vip which is supposed to include dinner and paid an extra $57 for the bride to be taken onstage. We arrived before it started but were told there werent seats to accomodate the whole group so we were split up. The waitress took about 40 to take our drink and food order and another 40 mins to bring some drinks and we never got our food. The menu options for the vip menu was composed of like three things none of which were apetizing. Our venue was changed last minute and the bride never got the hotseat and did I mention we never got our food. I would not recommend this place to anyone, bad servers, bad customer service. Big disappointment!! First we were in line at 7pm as suggested by website for a 730pm show time. They didn't start letting people in until 745 and the show started 8:15. I purchased Vip tickets for my daughter's 40th birthday. The website said first 6 rows were Vip. I was thinking we would be going to someplace with a stage and lots of seating. This venue was a small night club with folding chairs setup on the dancefloor no way there is even room for 6 rows of chairs...i feel like I was a scammed but that's just for starters. One of the performers was the MC and told us one of the other performers didn't show up for work so it would just be 2 of them doing the show. We were supposed to attend the Diva Royale show at Woody's in Phila for a birthday party group. We planned an entire overnight stay and evening in Philly based on this show. We purchased the VIP with dinner. The day before the show, I received a call from Armand, the owner of the Diva Royal shows to inform me that the dinner portion of the show was cancelled. He did not seem to care that he left en entire party stranded for dinner plans. (reading some of the other reviews, we weren't missing out on much). It is now my belief that he simply cancels the dinner portion if there are not enough dinners purchased to warrant calling in the caterers that provide the food. We were informed a few hours before the show that the venue was changed. JUST LIKE THAT. We found ourselves in some side alley waiting by a non descript black steel door. Very sketchy and a little scary. We were then let into the venue that composed of a runway stage with 2 rows of folding chairs around it. We had paid for VIP tickets that guaranteed us to be in the first 5 rows. There weren't 5 rows anyway. As it turns out I could have saved us $20/each and sat in the seat behind me. VIP is no different than general admission. As for the performance, the girls were great. I was entertained. However the entire business behind the show is very unorganized and unprofessional. It is owned by Armand Peri who bills himself as an entrepreneur. In my opinion, he is not a very good one, otherwise he would be looking into correcting the problems that result in crappy reviews so as to expand his business. read more
