Haven't tried a salon in Yuma since moving here in 2017. I wanted a bob and figured I'd stick to the professionals if I wanted to cut my long and thick hair. Veronica not only made me look fab but she also was such a good conversationist. I've been to this salon 3 times. The first 2 times Yadira did my hair and I loved the cut. 2 weeks ago, I called for an appointment. I was told that Yadira had taken the summer off, but Grecia was available. I was so disappointed. I told her at the beginning that I have 2 cowlicks in the back and my hair needs to be texturized to make them lay down properly. I have never been rushed through an appointment as Grecia did. She couldn't bother to do what I asked her to. The back of my hair is a mess. I hate to go anywhere because of the way my hair looks. I can guarantee that she will never touch my hair again. Then to top it off she charged me quite a bit more than what Yadira did-for a terrible haircut. read more

As a customer I would not recommend taking your business to this location. As a bride, I paid for my brides maid to get her hair done here. She sent me a photo ( to which I will attach) and I thought it was a joke. I asked my friend if she was pulling my leg when I saw the work they had done. My friend quickly responded, "no I'm serious". And to top it off my brides maid let me know that the stylist was over an hour late! We last minute had to find someone else who could undo what seemed to be the ugliest up do ever. I called the business and spoke with who I later found out was the owner. I was in SHOCK at how unprofessional her response to the situation was. She was short and snappy and made it clear she was " in Tucson until the following Tuesday" and all calls were being forwarded to her so " you can not get a hold of the salon". When I explained that both my friend and I do not reside in the Yuma area, rather the phnx area, she didn't seem urged to keep our business. This location did not work to keep our business nor seem to care about our situation and despair. So, I share with you what they call an " up do". I think I can do better and have no experience in hair what so ever. Don't waste your $40.00 here, please! I understand making mistakes but have some sympathy over your customers and understand their situation... And if not, ACT like you care. Bernice has been my go to girl for years! Even though I live in Tucson I make it a point to always try to have her do my hair. I've followed her everywhere she goes. She has years of experience and does beautiful hair. She always gives you a very in depth and honest consultation. Some people don't like to hear about the process or that black can't go to blonde on one visit but she just won't allow you to ruin your hair. She can be trusted. I have gone from dark brown to beige blonde with her with little to no damage. She takes pride in her work and profession and works hard make her clients happy! I came in with an uneven mess after a bad color experience yesterday. She fixed the issue and gave me a beautiful new cut and treatment. It left my hair color fresh and it went from a tangled mess to feeling so soft and amazing! I highly recommend this salon! I was new to town, so I did the dreaded learn by mistake with this place! I made an appt for just a trim, and on arriving to the salon I noticed how rundown the place was, the floors were dirty and the "beautician" did not listen to my requests about not using a razor to cut my ends. At the end of this terrible experience I still had split ends!!! What a waste of time and money. read more
