Divine is fantastic! Russ Quinn is a great guy and he does great work. His facility is clean and he really wants every piece he does to represent how solid his work is. He took my simple idea and added his artistic flair and I love it!! So much that I went back and got another one just because. He cares about others and really wants you to be happy. Not sure why my previous review posted under a random, new profile: This is insane. Such high hopes to find a "home shop" just to be let down in the biggest way. You can tell from their page and site that there is a level of arrogance with this shop. Yes, any good artist will carry that and their work on their site is top notch. We did extensive research and even some trial runs with other artists but we found Divine and thought this was the place we wanted to call home. My wife wanted a large thigh piece. But being new to tattoos (she only has three) she is heistant to grab the first available artist. Being that I have 30 tattoos, I have no problem sitting through a tattoo to "try them out" for her. Anyways, before her big thigh piece, she wanted a small owl on a branch on her chest. I did warn her that some of the detail in the drawing may be lost because of the size so she was aware of this. We call Divine and they say we have to do walkins. We explained that we wanted to set an appointment with the person who will do her thigh so it can be a trial run. We were essentially told that our tattoos were not good enough to warrant an appointment so we had to do walkins and we can schedule an appointment for the big one when we are there. Fine, whatever. We walk in and, of course, I'm up first. Steven is the tattooist that was available. He tells me my tattoo is $200! WTF?!?!?! Again, I have been getting tattoos for 20 years and I know my tattoo is a shop minimum tattoo (couple dozen dots on my calf. Seriously, 20 minute tattoo no color, no shading!) Shop minimum is $100 and I was mad that I was going to spend that but then he dropped $200 on me. Fine, I will do it for my wife. She needs to feel better. So he sets up the station and gets ready for me. Then he comes to talk to my wife and says her tattoo will cost the same, $200. That is realistic. Expensive but not outrageous. Then he drops a bomb on us. "By the way, I need to let you know I'm not licensed, I am an apprentice with 8 months of experience." WTF???? You are an apprentice charging those prices! I should have walked. Anyways, my wife declined to have him tattoo her so another artist looked at her tattoo. I believe his name is Jesse. He looked at it and said it was nearly impossible but if he did it, it would be $350. Wow! That is all I can say. Needless to say, she declined but I was stuck, I didn't want to be rude and walk. He sends me to his station, puts the stencil on and says "I'm going to go smoke while that dries, I'll be back in five minutes." 10 minutes later, he comes back and says, "hey I have a girl that needs her nose pierced so I need to do that first then I will get started." Seriously? I thought it was first come first served? But these teenage girls walk in and you drop everything and serve them and make me wait longer? Pervert! It is a total of 35 minutes I spent waiting for him to return. He had 5 more minutes before we got up and walked. Anyways, he came back and set up the chair for me to lay in. He didn't even put a barrier on the chair! He told me to lie down and I said "Don't you want to drape the chair?" "Oh well, I disinfect everything so we are okay but I guess I can drape it for you." Seriously bro?! You will never pass blood bourne disease control tests with that lack of knowledge! I get in the chair and the dang thing tips forward and almost make me legit break my neck! I caught myself because of the little wall around the station. His fiance/mentor Brooke came over and advised him the chair is backwards and unstable. Did he make me get up so he can fix? NOPE! So I had to lean back to prevent tipping and my wife had to hold on to it to prevent tipping. What a joke! 30 minutes later, I'm done. Apparently this guy is a $400/hour apprentice! Yeah and needless to say, my dots are not clean, some are more bumpy than a OB/GYN office waiting room! So I go to pay with card and yup, $10 surcharge for using my card. STAY AWAY AND STAY AWAY FROM STEVEN! This place might produce quality work (from their seasoned tattooers, not walk in artists) but their prices are insane. I got a perfect, color portrait covering the entire inside of my bicep at a tattoo down the street for $200. This place is a joke! read more

While very content with the tattoo work and cleanliness of the establishment , we unfortunately experienced such an unprofessional environment that we felt it was only fair to give 2 stars. We called several days in advance to schedule an appointment for my 3 sisters and I, each with the intent to get a tattoo no larger than the palm size of a small child. We were told there was no need to make an appointment, that we could just walk in and all be done within 30 minutes, so that's what we did. Sadly it did not go that way. When first walking in, we were told we'd have to wait an hour. We waited the hour, and after one of us was done, Vlad (who was very nice) was then pulled out by Russ to the front of the store to conduct whatever business they had. Why not go to a private space? Fast forward 2 hours when our last person was being worked on, Russ came back in and asked Vlad when he'll be done, again, while he was tattooing somebody (!?). We went in with the expectation that this would be, at most, an hour long experience, instead it turned into a 4 hour long process. We recommend this place for the great tattoo artistry by Vlad in particular. However, make sure you have an appointment and don't expect much on the side of professionalism. read more

I come here every time I visit my best friend and we've never been disappointed!! I believe we've had Brooke for a couple of our tattoos and we have no complaints! She's always so nice and fun to talk to, plus she does amazing work! We had Jeremy this time around and he was super cool and efficient. Super nice and did an awesome job! (We've also been walk-ins everytime and have gotten in pretty quick with no problems!!) I always get nervous to go into tattoo parlors because my tattoos are pretty basic as well as my appearance but we've never felt judged or anything like that either! So I came here for a tongue piercing for my birthday. I was a walk in so I expected a long wait. Surprisingly the wait wasn't that long. I got seen fairly quickly within like 30-45 minutes. The piercing lady was nice and quick. Fast forward a couple of days later my tongue swelled up really bad to where the whole tongue ring was being swallowed by my tongue. I went back to and asked them if it was normal. They said to give it a couple of more days and ice it. As I did just that. Eventually the swelling went down after a week and a half. Once the swelling went down and I was comfortable enough to change my bar to a shorter bar. Long and behold I had a standard size bar in my mouth the whole time. The initial piercing is supposed to be bigger to accommodate for swelling. Now it all makes sense why I had so much difficulty healing and the swelling going down. And now I have this huge crater on my tongue from the small bar pressing into my tongue all that time. Needless to say I will never come back here for anything. I gave it a try because of the reviews but no. This place isn't for me and they won't ever see me again. Rated two stars the extra star is for the prompt service. read more

Brooke was seriously amazing! Having previously had my septum piercing butchered from another local shop, I was very wary to get it redone. I was prepared for a lot of pain due to scar tissue. Not one bit! Brooke had it done before I even realized it and corrected the placement from the last guy that screwed the pooch on it. I will always go back here when I want a piercing!! read more

i got my first tattoo done here in april, my dad wrote me a letter and i wanted a portion of it to be tattooed on my ribs in his handwriting. i had a consultation with my artist and made a deposit for an appointment, later to find out that i couldn't make the appointment so i asked to reschedule. she said she could get me in on a walk in. cool, that's awesome too. i end up going in a week later and she gets everything set up and places the stencil, tattoos me and then i go home. i paid $350 for this tattoo and i find out later that night that she literally missed two words and that the tattoo said the opposite of what i needed it to say haha. this is both my fault and hers, i don't want to call her completely out for it because it's both of our faults. i let her know and she said she could get me in to fix it a few days later. i show up, she fixes the words she missed (thankfully there was a spot for them) and then touched up another word that the ink fell out of. it wasn't a terrible experience there at Divine, i just can't help to think that she might've purposefully forgotten the words because i cancelled the appointment after i saw her post on instagram with the caption "when your appointment cancels so you get to do walk ins all day...". but alas, it's okay. i love the tattoo, there was just a little miscommunication on both of our ends. the actual parlor was very clean and welcoming. read more
