I initially chose to use this piercing studio because I liked the way the exterior of the building looked with its Ouija inspired graphics. I was directed to the website where it was easy to arrange an appointment, and that appointment happened to be with the owner of the establishment. Once I got there for my appointment, I was in awe of the interior decor as well, which was really nicely decorated and had a very cool indoor plant garden, of sorts. I was greeted very professionally, and then was shown all the options available for my dermal piercing, which was fantastic! I didn't realize I would be given such a massive selection to choose from, which got me really giggity lol. It took me a few minutes, but I made my selection and then proceeded to wait in the lobby until I was called. It was there that I became more in awe- especially after seeing his pressed penny machine. I have literally never walked by a pressed penny machine without choosing to partake, so that was RAAAAD! Now, I don't want to think about my age hahaaa but it's been at least 20 years since my last piercing. Clay was VERY thorough in letting me know all the details about THIS type of piercing, which I didn't previously know. Apparently- dermals WILL eventually work their way out, which didn't make me change my mind- but can certainly sway others against it. He stressed that it was only a matter of time, but I am grateful for knowing this so I don't need to freak tf out when the time comes hahaaa. Brought our 13yo Granddaughter in to have her 3rd ear piercing. Left out the door with knowledge of why the procedure could not be aaccomplished. The area where she wanted the piercing would involve piercing the cartilage of which the minimum age would be 15yo. I applaude the owner/staff for following safety rules and explaining in detail as to why our Granddaughter should not have her 3rd piercing. It's wheelchair accessible I found the place very clean and comfortable. Everyone was friendly & helpful. I love Supernatural! I've gotten both of my cartilage piercings here, the first done a couple years ago and the second one earlier this week. Adam was my piercer this week. I have definitely found my lifelong piercer, and will not go to anyone besides Adam! He did a fabulous job, not only was the actual piercing part minimally painful, but also super quick. Adam was extremely professional and knew what he's was talking about 1100%. I got a forward helix done, and what I had been envisioning was not suitable with the anatomy of my ear. Adam and I discussed what would happen if we put the two piercings closer together, and it came down to the piercing would never heal properly. Although disappointing, Adam was super kind and allowed me a minute to think it over. He also said that we could get an entirely new piercing if this wasn't something I was sure about, and was really cool about everything. I decided to go through with the forward helix addition to my ear, and afterward I loved it! However sitting in my car I looked at it for a while and felt that I didn't like it. I called the shop and they told me to come right back in and I can talk to Adam. I definitely just had a little freak out moment in the sense that my expectation didn't align with the reality. The 5 Star reviews are not biased at all. I am always skeptical when places don't really have broad range of stars because it looks too good to be true. But trust me, this place is amazing. I will be honest it is expensive but it's what you pay for. I opted for a different piece of jewelry than the basic hook but the employees are upfront and tell you how much everything is, in case you're in a budget. First of all, this is a piercing only place. (No tattoos sorry). They sell beautiful jewelry as well, everything is beautiful . The decor is gorgeous, pictures of different cultures embracing piercings. I loved that as soon as I walked in, I can smell the place: it's smells sterile and that made me very happy. They have a room just like a doctors office where the piercings are done. The lobby has seating and glass cases showcasing jewelry. There's an overall good vibe throughout the space. The actual piercing experience was great: you know it's going to hurt because that's inevitable. But the process was so smooth and the artist really listened and calm my nerves. It was that time- I wanted a new piercing but didn't want to go back to Claire's after reading about how bad piercing guns are for you. I knew this place would be pricey but it had glowing reviews, so I scheduled an ear lobe piercing here for my birthday 4 months ago. The guy over the phone was super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. He quoted me exact prices as well as answering all the other questions I had. When I came in, the place smelled clean and all the people who worked there were friendly, just like all the reviews say. My piercer was named Chris and he gave me helpful advice about after care, and also let me be very specific about where to place the mark on my ear. The piercing was quick, and felt the same as it would getting it done with a cheap piercing gun from your local mall. (I thought it would hurt more.) By going this route, I was hoping to see an improvement in the way this piercing healed, since my last ones got horribly infected and ended up taking about a year to completely heal with no problems whatsoever. Given my annoying sensitive skin and last experience, I knew to take this next one with a grain of salt. They were healing fine with no complications, but about 3 months after my piercing, I started getting an itch and then a small keloid-looking bump on top of my left ear piercing. My earrings should also be ready to change by now but it still hurts when I move the earring around. So I'm really hoping this keloid bump will settle down here soon since it kinda fluctuates in size, but I'll probably see a dermatologist for some tips on that. Besides my disappointing skin making that bump on me, (it runs in the family actually) my ears have been healing a lot better with no infections which I credit to the old fashioned needle method, using salt water to disinfect like they tell you, and just leaving them alone. I didn't realize how bad cheap ear piercings can be for someone with my skin. So I highly recommend this place for a professional experience as well as high quality jewelry. It's worth the money. I also bought some more ear piercing saline solution cleanser from them for my healing. They use titanium metal earrings which is very good and non-reactive for your skin. I was amazed at how the metal quality could make a difference and improve the healing experience. I ran into some issues with the materials they needed for me, but they went ahead and ordered it special and it arrived not too long after. I went back for the second time and they were out of another piece. They said that this never happens but it was strange that it happened twice in a row to me. They ended up finding the right materials out of sheer luck and I came back the next day. My piercer was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and made me very comfortable. Oooooooh let me tell you about my experience. I was scared out of my mind. I went in for a daith piercing. Molly greeted me and started answering the bazillion questions I had. Gabriel and Eric both reassured me the piercing was a good fit for my ear and really, when done correctly on a good ear, wouldn't hurt. They never belittled me, let me take my time, understood it was my first cartilage piercing, and this was seriously one of the most professional and kindest businesses I've ever been to. Even my boyfriend was incredibly impressed. Eric was incredibly sanitary, changing his gloves several times any time they were possibly compromised. It really didn't hurt, so maybe my ear was just perfect for it or my pain tolerance is unexpectedly high. The ring looks greats and I'm just so, so happy. If I could give Supernatural more than 5 stars, I would. Very professional and talked me through everything. I arrived with a vague idea of what I wanted and no appointment (they don't take appointments). I wanted too many different piercings and wasn't sure which ear which piercing would look good on. .. You've gotta balance out your piercings, right? haha Anyway, while talking through all of it, I casually mentioned one piercing I had seen and told the woman helping me that I wasn't sure I could get it due to my smaller than normal forward helix (ear). She looked at it and said that I could definitely do it if I wanted. She also gave me advice on what to do first and how long to wait to get the others done. So, that day we did a rook piercing and a cartilage ring change out and planned on doing 3 forward helixes in a few months. During prep and throughout the entire procedure; including changing out my cartilage (it wasn't pierced there, but she changed it out for me since I have trouble every time, I bought a small cartilage hoop there for $10, free change out) she changed her gloves after every single step. She sanitized before and after every single step. VERY CLEAN AND HEALTHY AND SAFE! I paid $100 for 1 small cartilage hoop, rook piercing, and a beautiful rook piece that has two "diamonds" on the top and bottom, that included the tip. (I'm adding a pic on my profile for you all!) I called again last night to see how much longer I have to wait until I get my next piercing on my other ear, since they wanted my rook to heal before I went to the other ear. My rook is doing wonderfully, I got it pierced mid-February and have had absolutely zero problems with it! I can't believe how well it's healing, I was waiting for the worst since my cartilage took over a year and a half to heal and I'd had too many problems with it. Anyway, I get to come back as soon as I want. I asked him how much I was expecting to spend for the 3 forward helix piercings and cute jewelry I found there (he knew which ones I was talking about) $170 with tax. It does get a bit pricey, especially with the cuter jewelry, but you know, with that kind of service and safety and professionalism, you can't really get that anywhere without spending a little bit of cash. Also, if you think about it, it's really not that pricey if you take in to account each fee separately. He also told me that I could get cheaper jewelry, but I knew which ones I wanted because I would have been back to buy them anyway, might as well get pierced with the ones I'll be keeping in. Guys. This place... I won't be going anywhere else to get pierced or even to get my piercings changed out. Take care of your piercings. Take care of your piercers. TIP YOUR PIERCERS!!!!!!!!!!!! So I got my first helix piercing done here last August 2019. Did not know what APP was until after I had gotten it done. Service was knowledgeable as they knew it was my first time in a piercing shop and they were super reassuring. It was done with needle and hoop put in. At first, I admit, I didn't care for it well. I accidentally slept on it here and there. Then I started noticing my skin healing around the hoop on the back. I went back after being told it needed to be changed to a Labret by other APP piercer. I was turned away with being told I wasn't caring for it well. So I waited it out for another few weeks to see improvement with strict aftercare. It got worse. Sought advice and was told the same thing, needs to be changed to a Labret. Went back again and was told the same thing as well as it needs time. Looked up another place and found Radiance Piercing. They looked at my ear and said I really needed to get it changed so they helped me. It started healing okay until I got two bumps, one inside and behind. One time swelling for so bad, the bump was being cut open by the backing of the Labret. I went back to Supernatural the very next day hoping they would help me. Simply to be told, I need to wait it out and leave it alone. Needless to say, I went back to Radiance Piercing and heard I was about to do anything to get rid of these bumps. At this point, it's been 6 months later with travel pillow, sterile wound wash and care strictly. I've tried everything to get this piercing to work only to be told piercing was done at an angle of it is simply the answer to the discomfort and the bumps. The solution: remove and get redone. They are great people. But they didn't really listen when I had issues and I feel bad to have to go elsewhere. I'm extremely disappointed that this is something I could've had repierced already if they had listened. Sure, price was great but now I feel it was wasted along with the hour trips I've made to dedicate care to this piercing. read more

I cannot rave enough about this place! I have been thinking about getting my tragus pierced for a few years now but always end up backing out when the time comes. I decided that 2020 was finally the year to do it! When looking into where to go in KC, I saw that Supernatural won The Pitch's Best of 2020 for best body piercing shop. I usually find The Pitch to be very reputable but I also had read some online reviews. I made an appointment and they were booked up about 4 weeks in advanced which is a good sign. When I arrived, I had to knock on the door to be let in as they are being VERY COVID safe. Right when I got in I was asked to wash my hands. Then I was lead to the counter to discuss the piercing I was getting and the earring options to choose from. they were for details in the earrings and the cost so there were no surprises. I watched as Gabe (the piercer) cleaned the table I was going to be sitting on and change out his gloves which made we feel confident they are taking the pandemic very seriously. Once it was time, Gabe went over how the piercing is done and how to properly clean it. Once I actually got the piercing, Gabe made sure I wasn't in any pain and kept checking on me. We ended up chatting for a bit before it was time for me to pay and go. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. They are super clean, so nice, answer any and all questions, and I didn't feel judged in anyway for not being totally covered in piercings. I went by myself for this appointment so I was extremely nervous. My piercer did an incredible job! Im someone who gets super scared of someone seeing my top off. It's something that can be super triggering for me. But I felt so incredibly safe here. It was nothing but a fun experience! The store was clean with a large variety of jewelry. The business was busy with customers when we arrived and we did not have an appointment. We were greeted quickly, but learned there were no openings. Since we were only in town for a short period the gentleman offered an alternative business which may have available appointments. We followed his recommendation and found that store to be excellent quality and service. I can't recommend Supernatural Body Piercing enough! Their shop is clean and inviting. They sell the most beautiful jewelry and have great competitive prices. But the staff is what will get you to return. They are always super nice and patient. I got snake bites recently and Kait made it just about as painless as possible. A few minutes after I had a really intense bout of dizziness and nausea. Kait just stayed with me, talked me though it, really made me feel taken care of and safe.
