They have four courts which exceeds anything I've seen in the city and greatly increases your chances of not having to wait. The courts are well maintained and each one is enclosed so you don't have to worry about going far to get your balls or disturbing other courts. There's plenty of parking right in front of the courts. And the park is open late. Really everything I'm looking for in a spot to play some tennis. If tennis isn't your thing, they also have a basketball court and walking trails. And there was even an ice cream truck making its way around the park the last time I was there.

For a park that is meant for a subdivision, this is pretty nice! There are plenty of partitions and a pavilion area for events as well as my favorite-a doggie park! Not because I have a dog, but when people bring their furry loved ones to the park they have their own area to run and play-giving walkers and joggers like me some space to exercise. Additionally, this park has a small and big dog park. And not to make anyone confused about the definition of small and big, they put the weight requirement on the signage to each park. You know that this a dog friendly park based on all the doggie doo receptacles all around the park too. Did not spot not a ONE pile of doggie doo on my walk. Thank you dog parents for being kind and not leaving doggie doo behind! For human parents, you can come to this park and not have to worry about bad weather delaying your plans to take your child to the park since the playground area is covered. Many parents even bring chairs and sit around the playground area to watch their children play and protected from some of the elements. If you look closer by the events doorway there is a book depot for people to leave books and take books. I love seeing these in communities because it not only supports the importance of reading but creates a sense of community. For a quick walk before running some errands or to let your kids play (human and furry) this is a nice park to visit anytime of the year.

It's always well maintained and has a vast amount of space for whatever activity you want to partake in. During the holidays, Pearland puts up a tall light display -- usually a Christmas tree or Santa. The only thing holding this park back is the lack of shade in several crucial areas. The artificial covering above the sandpit has oddly disappeared. Additionally, about 75% of the cement trail does not have any trees hanging overhead. More sun-blocking elements would let this park reach its full potential.

A children's play area, picnic area and walking trail. You can hear the gushing sound if water of the artificially created lake along the million dollar houses. It has green grass and its clean with lots of garbage cans all over- clear signal to keep the park as is I guess.

Plenty of parking, water stations and bathrooms. Free admission and they accept donations. Also, volunteers are welcomed. They will train you. They have education programs all year along for the kids. Outside, there is a long path to walk/run around. Amazing for when it's cooler outside. There are plenty of wildlife to look for and take pictures of. There is so much to do on the inside! They have little puzzles and activities for the kids to do, that gets rotated around a lot so the kids won't get bored. They added a new gigantic computer screen with matching and finding animal games. There is a small pond of 2 alligators and a few display cases of animals, reptiles, and fish. There is a magnetic board to build birds and a coloring station that turns your artworks into animation! They just added a toddler/baby corner with toys and a toddler size tunnel to crawl through. Overall, what a great place to have in the heart of pearland.

Helen's Park is located near a neighborhood library and YMCA center. We always park our car at the YMCA next door and walk over. It's very peaceful here when there's not a crowd of people (which there usually is - everyone taking professional photos). The running water flowing through the middle of the park makes the environment very tranquil. The pictures below are from a cold winter day and don't do the park justice, but in the springtime when the greenery and flowers are in full bloom, I guarantee it is beautiful!

I was kind of concerned about the warning signs for gators, but we did not come across one. I asked a couple of girls walking if they saw any gators and they said "I wish". Well hope you find one then, right! Park people were nice pointing me to the direction of the restrooms. A ok park!
