This is one of the more central stations, so there's a plethora of people that are on the platform. The GO train itself is a pleasant ride in. Decent seating, clean and not that long of a ride from Cooksville into Union (if there are no delays - don't get me started..) My only real beef with this line (and the reason for a missing star) is the crappy, limited schedule. The last train from Union is just after 7pm! If I work late, I'm then forced to take the bus or an Uber home. The lakeshore line runs until 1:30am - c'mon GO, give us more flexibility!! In ending, I have to say that my favourite part of the whole GO train experience is watching the few nuts running at full speed off the train and into their cars to beat the others, haha. One tip: check the departure screens for platform information, as your train's platform may not be posted until closer to departure time. It was a little difficult to find staff when I had questions, but fellow travelers were generally friendly and willing to help. The station is beautiful and has many shops to browse while waiting for your train. I also found the train fares to be reasonable.

We went west on Amtrak and had to board at Depew [Buffalo] to continue westward to Chicago, then transfer/board another westbound train to the West Coast. Good to see this has been updated so we can now easily board in Niagara Falls!! Thanks Amtrak!!

The station is well-maintained and it's going through construction at the moment. St. Patrick…read moreis on the Yong-University Line (aka "Line 1") of the metro and is between Queen's Park (towards Vaughan) and Osgoode (towards Finch). The station is named for nearby St. Patrick's Church. It is located under University Avenue at Dundas Street and the station does feature a free wifi network. For me, it was quite close to Chinatown. As with several other stations, St. Patrick has a center platform which means that the doors of the train will open on the left. The station does have access for handicapped and I was able to ride an escalator from the platform level to the ticketing level and then stairs for me to the surface. As a new user of the GO Train, I needed detailed information regarding Presto use, buying a ticket,…read moretrains, etc. I was told by a phone rep that the Bramalea GO station was staffed from 5:20 am to 8:10 pm. I arrived at 7:30 pm fully expecting to see a live person in attendance to assist me. However, I did not see a person, nor a staffed ticket booth. That was very, very disappointing. A bus driver told me that there should be a person with a reflective vest walking around to offer assistance. He didn't see anyone. I walked in circles for about 20 minutes. There was absolutely NO GO employee with a reflective vest anywhere, neither inside, nor outside! A kind caretaker showed me how to use the Presto machine, where to look for the Platform notice on the television monitor, and how to get to the train. He should be commended! Without his kindness, I would have just left! Then, as I was still thanking the caretaker, we saw two GO staff persons, a man and a woman, wearing reflective vests. They were in a corner, facing one another, chatting!!! They were not walking around. They were not even looking around to see if anyone needed their assistance. Disgusting. Supposedly, the woman had just returned from her break, right before it was the end of their shift at 8:10 pm! Really?! As I kept repeating that it had been quite some time that I had been looking out for someone in a reflective vest, the man began making an excuse that he had taken people to the university stop. This made no sense whatsoever. Regardless, I did NOT see either of them for at least 30 minutes! The bus driver and the caretaker also had not seen them. I had also asked numerous persons in the station and they had not seen any workers anywhere. These two GO individuals needs to be spoken to about being conscientious in doing their job. Standing around chatting with one another, wasting time until their shifts end, is absolutely NOT acceptable!
