The name Discount Pawnbrokers also doesn't ring right with me when out front they have signs indicating that the name of the business might be Two Guys Pawn. So, whether it is in fact Two Guys Pawn or Discount Pawnbrokers is tough to say. But, since the name Discount Pawnbrokers was listed on Yelp, I went with that. The place is also kind of creepy and spooky as it has a real bad city ghetto looking entrance with bars all over the place, a remote door opening and a big sign that says "No Loaded Guns." Though seemingly in a safe area, the place makes you feel that your chances of getting mugged or robbed are an overwhelming probability.

Hal and Brett, who own the shop, were very polite and answered any questions we had as best they could. I've had my fair share of pawn shop visits back in the day, and i have usually felt like I was being "taken advantage of", whether I was pawning or purchasing. I got a really chill and honest vibe from these guys. My friend didn't feel like he was being ripped off, in fact, he got a GREAT deal on a good instrument. We looked at a million stores and couldn't find one we liked. 6 months of looking and we saw that Littman's had a gorgeous Effy ruby ring but not in yellow- gold like I wanted. Heather Ann worked with us to see if we could special order it. A few months later we were in the store for the "Diamond Party", Heather had requested that the Effy rep bring some ruby rings for us to look at. We looked around and decided to go for the original ring and have it made in yellow gold. Aydan, their manager, went above and beyond to make sure we got the best price, the correct warranty, AND he said that if we were disappointed when the custom ring was delivered to the store, we could return it and look for a new one (they even had a Diamond Party event scheduled around the time the ring would be finished and delivered!) Well, the ring arrived and I was/am so so so happy with it. Heather Ann was on maternity leave but she sent me a hand written note expressing her happiness for us that we finally found the ring of my dreams!!
