Honestly, I would give these guys 5 stars if they didn't completely burn me when I tried to buy a handgun from them. I have bought a couple things from these guys and have pawned other items as well. When I went to buy the subs I currently have in my car, the employees were very helpful and accommodating. We were able to negotiate a reasonable price for the whole system. A couple of months later I decided I wanted to buy a handgun. This, of course, was at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I had never purchased a gun before so naturally I went through the whole process with paper work and putting down a deposit. They told me to come back in a week when the background check is processed and I'll be able to pickup my gun. At this point I couldn't wait until the background check came back. A week passed and I didn't get a call from them (figured the pandemic had them very busy) so I gave them another day before I called to see what the status was. Called them and no answer. The next day I decided to stop by before work to see if maybe the background check came back. When I got there the door was locked and they were only allowing a small number of people in at a time which is totally understandable. One of the employees came to the door and asked me what I was looking for. I explained to him that I was waiting for my background check to come back and he took my ID and said he would check on the status. 10 minutes later he comes back with my ID and my deposit in hand and just says I was rejected. I asked him if he knew why (very politely I might add) and he just said "I don't know" and closed the door. I understand that there's not much more he could've said but the way he went about it was super rude and rather deflating. Now, full disclosure, I am no saint but I also know that I've never gotten in trouble with the law in a way that would disqualify me from being able to purchase a firearm. Ive gone over everything on the list of disqualifying factors and I can't figure out why I was rejected. I'm not sure if he genuinely didn't know why I was denied or if he just didn't want to explain to me but the whole experience was unsatisfying. read more

Just left 2J's. Used to be friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Couple friends and i used to shop here for used guns occasionally. I ask to look at one of the old revolvers. Counter guy says manager has now instituted a rule whereby if you want.to see any gun in the case, you must first put down a deposit and paperwork. Strike 1. Asked to speak with owner. Counter guy says he's "unavailable". (Had just seen the owner's son walk in the back who I overhead telling another customer gun prices are now non-negotiable. Every recent addition to that case was way overpriced). Strike 2. Pleasantly explained to counter guy, you're not going to be selling any guns to collectors and hunters (like my friends and i) if you are unable to inspect a gun without a deposit. (Shoulder shrug). Strike 3. C'ya. This shop is now out of the rotation. Already found a better shop that is only a couple more miles from my house, better stocked, and the owner isn't braindead. read more

I recently attempted to purchase ammo for a gun that I was in the process of purchasing from this store. The person assisting me was great but then the owner or manager of the store refused to sell me any ammo even though I was purchasing a gun from the store. He gave me a terrible excuse that the ammo for only for the guns that were still in the cases. Again I was in the process of purchasing a gun from him. I told him that wasn't logical and his response was to get upset and offer to give me back my money. Also when I first walked into the store they had a sign posted by the ammo limiting customers to 2 cases of ammo. They tore that down and bald it up. Plan and simple the owner/manager didn't want to sell me any ammo even though I was spending damn near $400 on a gun. read more

I have pawned many things here and I always had a positive experience and never had an issue retrieving my stuff. The last three months I have faithfully paid the interest and I went to get all my stuff back after receiving my tax return only to find that ALL of my stuff was scraped , salvaged for metal or sold. They even changed the password on my laptop that I pawned three days ago. DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS. EVERYTHING I PAWNED IS GONE and they were so sweet and nice while they stole my jewelry and lied to my face. Do not trust these thieves and miscreants. Horrible pawn shop full of crooks. They took my money and all of my things. They even tried to sell me back a watch that i bought for 150. but they raised the price to 300.00. read more

I was going to be a few days late getting the money together to get my gun out of pawn. I called the day before it defaulted and asked for a few extra days. A manager noted my account to hold it until the 7th. It was put out for sale on the 6th. Over the course of 2 years I've spent over $15,000 in that store. I don't regret any of my purchases and I've always been treated fairly. It's a shame I won't be able to feel comfortable shopping there anymore. read more

Bad situation. I called and inquired about bicycles. I was told it was there...I paid for a ride there....test road the bike and laid down the amount that was offered to me. Then I was told....sorry, the bike is on lay away to someone...no bike...had to pay for a ride home....pissed. read more
