There are different levels Of instruction, for instance the beginners focus on the initial basics. The more advanced skaters focus on proper form, technique and goal preparation. The Peak also has very good in-house hockey leagues for all ages as well as the occasional tournament. I didn't get there but they have pick-up, drop-in hockey and my son has attended hockey camps here. I've read that they make their rink and other facilities available for birthday parties, holiday parties or corporate events at reasonable prices. I do know they had a killer snack bar. The facility was filthy all weekend. Food and trash everywhere with no cleaning being done....I realize this is also part just laziness on the part of patrons but keeping your facility clean should be a priority. There is a bar upstairs but we did not visit that. 16 Biggby logos greet you before you even hit the lobby but don't expect to get a cup of coffee...No concession stand available at all (there is one there but it is closed, and from what I hear, has been closed since the Black Bear takeover). Ice conditions were poor, the glass around the South rink was so fogged parents couldn't see the games, and the scoreboard in the North rink didn't work on Saturday so coaches had no idea on time, penalties, etc. and had to keep asking scorekeepers for info. When rink conditions were brought to the attention of the rink staff, there was not much more than a shoulder shrug given. The Zamboni driver even backed onto the ice before handshake lines were finished which is a serious safety issue. For a rink hosting expensive youth tournaments, this is unacceptable. People pay good money to attend these tournaments. The facility needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.

I've heard nothing but awful things about this place, be it the rinks, the restaurant, or the barn itself, since it got bought out, and after the hassle I had of just trying to find a skate schedule it's safe to say I won't bother coming here. They gave me 10 big tokens which then you have to put big coin into token machines to turn it into 10 little coins.I thought it Is kinda weird and the worst thing is the machines aren't in perfect condition. 3 out of 10, it didn't dispense tokens like it supposed to. The carpeted wall goes around the entire rink which is great for us beginners as many rinks don't have the full wall. The arcade is expansive and there is an indoor jungle gym for younger children. My avid skating friend shared that the music played at this roller rink has a better vibe with classic upbeat pop and a mix of newer songs such as Chappell Roan compared to roller rinks that are further north such as the Troy and Waterford area.

My boyfriend plays on a Sunday night league here. The place itself is state of the art and extremely spacious and clean. I've been to so many rinks where cleanliness goes out of the window and the establishment only cares about the amount of people on the ice. Not here! Employees are always smiling and they seem genuine that they love their job. The rinks itself are rather cold, but it's to be expected if you're watching a hockey game after all. I recommended a hoodie and a blanket if you're watching from the stands (which aren't that comfy, let's be honest!) An arcade is on site if you're here for a party and the cafe is filled with snacks to help your grumbling stomach. Cash only though!
