I was looking for a taco person AND a DJ and found 'DJ and Tacos.' The owner was very informative and responsive to my inquiry, so I booked him for a birthday party. He showed up as scheduled, and got everything setup early. The food was fantastic. Their minimum catering is for 50 guest, but we only had about half of that, so we had leftover food for weeks. I only have two critiques. We had the flat grill (taco guy) setup next to a tree that had a lot of droppings due to a unexpected breeze. He didn't have his own canopy so we offered to set ours up for him to cover the grill and food. The DJ forgot his poles to hold up his DJ lights. Thankfully, we had two long wooden stakes that worked perfectly for his lights. What would have happened if we didn't have a canopy, or didn't have the wooden poles? I'm giving this business a 5 star review because the service we paid for was provided to us. Both the food and the music were excellent. I would hire them again for a future party. I would just make sure they bring their own canopy if they are to set up somewhere with lots of falling debris. read more

After emailing Walter over several days, where he continued to tell me he would NOT honor my deposit, he only agreed to honor it 2 hours AFTER I posted this negative Yelp review. He kept saying it was my fault for rescheduling (obviously, I had complete control over COVID). To blame me for rescheduling at a time when the whole world was living in complete fear of the unknown is ridiculous. And to clarify, I never booked him for 4/2022. I was only inquiring about his availability. He only sent me a contract (that I was NOT going to sign) after my Yelp review. After careful consideration, my husband and I decided we would rather lose $380 than do business with Walter. Rather than attempting to resolve our issue one on one like a reputable business should, it's sad that it took a negative review for him to do the right thing. Booked this company for my 40th birthday party. I have never used a taco man or DJ before so I was nervous. I had been to parties before and didn't like either service so I knew we were taking a chance. I seriously couldn't be happier! The food was AMAZING! Its been two days since my party and I have had so many compliments on the food. They had it prepared and ready to serve when my party started. They packaged everything up for us at the end of the night and we have been enjoying the leftovers. They left everything super clean! As for the DJ again AMAZING! I just want to thank Walter for coming through for my daughter's bday party. We booked him last minute and let me tell you he came in and surprised everybody at the party. Walter came early and organized his station great! We still had some setting up while he was cooking and meats smelled great! His set up is real professional and the condiments include two salsas, onions, cilantro and limes. Last minute party for my father's birthday and Walter executed what the birthday boy wanted. The tacos were beyond delicious giving all of his guests meat options and making quesadillas.
