I found the Taco Specialist on Yelp looking for a taco person for my daughters birthday. Nestor has excellent communication and answered all Questions and has outstanding customer service skills. I got a lot of quotes and he was the one that had the best package for the best price. I got a lot of compliments on the food, the set up, and serving. Nestor and his wife were awesome and all guests raved about the food. The Al Pastor was very tasty and the big favorite of the guests was the chicken. It was seasoned perfectly. Ohhhhh and the grilled fajita veggies were a great hit with my vegetarian guests that were happy that they were able to enjoy a veggie taco. The fajitas were also a great addition to top off any taco. I would definitely recommend Nestor for anytime you need a taco person. He has top notch service and excellent food. I'm surprised he doesn't have more reviews. I would definitely hire him again and I highly recommend him. I just spoke with Nestor over the phone for last minute booking for my party Saturday. He was very friendly, prices seem pretty fair, and I cannot wait to taste his food this weekend! Review will be updated after the party this weekend, but so far Im impressed! **UPDATE** OK, my party was this weekend, and the tacos were a HIT! Everyone loved the food. We were running behind a bit, so I asked for them to stay an hour longer, and they obliged for a nominal fee. I was very happy with the professionalism and the friendliness of the the staff. This review is long over due. We hired him for our wedding May 19,2018 and we have been reminiscing on how good these tacos were. Nestor is also a sweetheart. Our wedding day was hectic and my husband and I had not eaten all day and he was kind enough to track us down during our reception and make sure we had something to eat. He personally handed us our plate of tacos and they were heavenly. Oh and I might add that all your leftovers get packaged up for you to keep so there is no waste and you can enjoy the next day which was also helpful since I had a house full of guests the next day. This review is long overdue! The Taco Specialist is GREAT! I really enjoyed my experience using them and would highly recommend them. I shopped around quite a bit for a taco man to cater my boyfriend's 30th birthday in which we rented a huge air bnb in Palm Springs. Nestor's prices were sooo affordable compared to the several others I reached out to. He is quick to respond and communicative to your needs. We spoke over the phone, booked and planned everything and then he followed up with a phone call the day before to confirm all the details. He is always available throughout if you get nervous like me and need constant reaffirming. He came right on time and for my party (which was about 22 people, paid enough to feed 30) he was a one man show. Set up to breakdown, not to mentioned the food was delicious! The best part of his packages is that he packs up all the leftovers for you so we got to continue enjoying his food the day after. All the meats were flavorful and cooked very nicely, he was extremely friendly and professional to myself & my guests, and everything is taken care of from start to end. I contacted them very late around 10pm, I didn't expect a response right away but they were still very quick to help me. They had great packages, but unfortunately during this pandemic they could only offer delivery. I completely understand and I went with a different option for my very small gathering. I honestly didn't like his food at all. I have had better tacos. The carne asada is more like ground beef with no flavor at all. Chicken had no flavor at all either. Al Pastor tacos were ok. My husband and I were very disappointed. I won't hire him again. I really thought I was getting something similar to carne asada like he had said. I haven't found a good catering cart. Here in the States is very hard to find someone with true Mexican flavor. I think next time I'll stick to bbqng myself. read more

From start to finish Nestor was professional and courteous! He was in contact with me several times before my event and was on time to set up for my guests the day of the party.
