The reception area had lots of snacks and I found a locally produced beef jerky which tasted marvelous. By the time I finally walked in, I was physically and emotionally drained. I was apologizing for being late and honestly worried about whether I would still have a place to stay. I had called and left messages because everything felt so uncertain. But the moment I arrived, the two people at the front desk made all the difference. They immediately engaged with me, listened, understood what I had been through, and even shared a few stories about other airport experiences. After the stress of the previous days, that kind of welcome meant more than they probably realized. They are always friendly, warm, and easy to talk to. They even had a fun Pajama Friday, which I thought was awesome. Because of that experience, I will absolutely be staying with them each time I am in town. Sometimes it really is the little things that matter most.

From the outside, the Candlewood looked kind of old but the inside was really nice. I guess there was a remodel not too long ago. Our room was in the front of the motel and the snake river is behind it. Didn't know that till we were leaving. Our room was really clean lots of room to spread out.
