My husband and I are very lucky that we had our corona-wedding on 9/26/2020, that our guests have remained healthy since then, and that we hired an amazing team of vendors... with the exception of DJ Caesar. Sorry in advance for the length, but we want other potential customers to know what kinda nonsense they'll be dealing with. Skip to the end for the #1 reason that DJ Cee is a stinky (bathroom humor) #2. From the getgo, DJ Cee was a "back up" pick, suggested by our venue after their recommended DJ failed to respond to emails from them/from us. After a Zoom meeting with DJ Cee, we thought things were good. He sent us a link to the day's timeline (which we *magically* no longer have access to, so I can't post below), and we sent him/our venue a more specific music sheet, at our venue's request. As both a fellow wedding vendor and a coronabride, I appreciate good communication/follow-up, but DJ Cee waited to text my husband until the WEEK of our wedding (...!! Really?! Yes, really.) to indicate that he wanted a followup meeting. Inconvenient? Yes. Totally avoidable last minute stress? You bet. Other logistical nightmares we experienced: -We very much did not want my husband to know the song I would walk down the aisle to (this was abundantly clear via email and Zoom chat), and yet DJ Cee forgot and almost let it slip during our (unplanned) followup meeting. -We communicated that our OFFICIANT would be kicking off the ceremony, which DJ Cee disregarded (photo attached), and also disrupted our Officiant's flow. -Despite a written plan that our Officiant would walk down the aisle to no music-- to make announcements and to give our wedding party enough time to get down the aisle (d'you know that the Red Wedding theme is actually kinda short?), DJ Cee did his own thing and played the song too early. #Awkward. -The wedding party and the bride would reasonably need to be able to hear the song they're walking to, emmaright? (Yes. I am). Not hearing when the music started in the first place definitely kept this DJ from getting a first place rating in our book. Other (minor) but technical/skill-related issues: -There was a fadeout but a hella #AwkwardAgain transition between The Red Wedding song, and A Thousand Years, to start the bride coming down the aisle. The songs aren't musically alike.... but there didn't have to be a hard stop to highlight that difference. -We repeated/repeated/repeated the request for the ONE line "All my friends are heathens, take it slow" to be played as a quick prank for our wedding party before their grand entrance to the reception.... then the DJ didn't play just this line. #EvenAwkwarder. AND NOW... The caps lock comes on for the BIGGEST REASON that I recommend DJ Caesar as the MOST TACTLESS VENDOR OF THE YEAR award (gimme a drumroll): We've already established that DJ Cee messed up our officiant's plan.. And I will leave just a comment that our photographers almost left mid-wedding because they felt "threatened" by the DJ... But WHO THE HELL ARE YOU to go OUT OF YOUR WAY to INSULT MY MATRON OF HONOR THE ENTIRE EVENING, and THEN! THEN!! THEN!!! BRAG to our GROOMSMEN all at once (Hey genius, her HUSBAND was among them) about it?! You looked like a total BRUH in your stupid Raiders mask (at least you met the low standard of wearing one, I guess?) and you acted like a child when my best-ever MOH wanted to protect herself from a random stranger that she knows nothing about. Are you (pick an alphabetical letter that comes after E)-ing kidding me?! This really should be a review in FAVOR of my epically self-controlled MOH, groomsmen (especially her husband), and the 40% of my guests that were Dojo Family... none of them went out of their way to get closer than 6 feet to show DJ Cee what highly skilled fist bumps to the face look like. The witnessed facts: upon arriving DJ Cee went in for an unsolicited and unwelcome hug to me, and my (much wiser) MOH explained that she wasn't doing physical contact right now. DJ Cee made a dumb joke about it (which I dismissed at the time), but my MOH filled me in the next week: "DJ Cee would pretend to ignore me or he would "dodge" me. He was making fun of the fact that I wanted him to respect my space during the pandemic. He approached the groomsmen and said that he was having so much fun "being a sarcastic dick to the MOH all day." I went to verify that this is what actually happened, because that's horrific! But sadly, yes. 4 separate witnesses reported the same story. Further, our awesome videographer captured this moment: my MOH's husband explaining to DJ Cee that being a "sarcastic dick" to my MOH was wrong. DJ Cee outright lied to deny it, and told our groomsmen/guest that he was "out of line" for calling HIM a dick. My BFF didn't want to ruin my night, so I didn't know about the BS at the time... but if I had, I would have stopped her from giving a gratuity. The only tip I have for DJ Cee is this: quit your job. read more

We had an outdoor wedding (for the ceremony) and we had issues with the venues speaker system and Cesar was prepared with his back up the (outdoor) system. DJ C is great! It's 4.5 stars for me! My husband and I got engaged last year in June and we spent weeks doing research on good DJs in the area. We emailed several DJs and interviewed them but we weren't convinced by any. Finally, a photographer recommended DJ Cee to us. We contact him right away and set up an in person meeting. Right after the meeting, my husband and I knew Ceasar was the DJ for our wedding! We saw he had a great personality and had lots of experience. The fact that he is bilingual was a plus since we're both y husband and I are Mexican and we wanted a DJ that could MC is Spanish for our family. Ceasar made the process very easy - we had a few in person meetings leading up to our wedding to discuss our music preferences and to set up our wedding day timeline. Also, we would communicate via text/call/email as needed between meetings. Our wedding was Saturday July 9th, 2016 at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in San Pedro, CA. DJ Cee was super punctual and dressed professionally. He did an amazing job making sure the reception flowed from the grand entrance to the grand exit. He was energetic and catered to our family. Also, we had a mariachi for the first 2 hours of the reception and he worked very well with them. Everyone had a great time at the reception! The dance floor was never empty - there were always people dancing! My husband and I danced nonstop the entire night! The only reason my rating is not 5 stars is because we did give Ceasar a list of "must have songs" for him to play at our wedding, but they were not all played - we only recall hearing a few. DJ C still stuck to our music preferences and the music was still great all night, but we did not get to hear all those songs we had requested prior to the wedding.
