DJ Keelez made our wedding the event of a lifetime. We wanted a DJ who would understand and respect our music choices. She fully understood the assignment and went above and beyond, including all of our "must plays" as well as music from our favorite artists. Our wedding mix consisted of a little motown, disco, 90's and 2000's pop music, country, hip hop, EDM, and contemporary hits. We even had a little K-pop thrown in! Where do I start with how thrilled I am that we went with DJ Keelez for my wife and my wedding, she was absolutely perfect and more. We got married at the Disneyland Resort, the Grand Californian, for our Disney wedding. My wife did a ton of research into all the planning details, and I was tasked with finding our DJ! I can't believe its taken me this long to write a review for the best DJ we could have had for our wedding, DJ Keelez. I'll just attribute my tardiness to post-wedded bliss. To say she was the greatest DJ we could have had at our wedding isn't an understatement, she truly was fantastic. From pre-wedding planning and the several times she dealt with our emails and questions, to the actual wedding day and just being a superstar person, she's the total package and beyond. Day of the wedding, things got off course quickly and we were working (for the most part) well outside the timeline we had established in advance. The only person calm about that was DJ Keelez. When my wife and I were freaking out that we were late taking pictures (because of the sun) and late entering the reception and late doing pretty much everything else, she was so calm and calming, making sure that we had every opportunity to do all of the dances and memorable things we had wanted to do. Our wedding venue was pretty plain, so we got the up lighting package in addition to her DJ/MC services. This was definitely the best decision we made because it made all the difference. Without her lighting, it wouldn't have looked nearly as awesome. They brought an entirely different atmosphere to the room that wouldn't have otherwise existed without the lights. Awesomely worth it. Her DJing was also fantastic. She has SO MUCH music to choose from and when we were meeting with her in advance of the wedding, she had so many valuable recommendations for father/daughter dance songs, what to play when taking off the garter, entrance music, all of it. We had a friend playing our first dance song live at the wedding, and DJ Keelez was super amazing coordinating with our musician and making sure that she (our musician) had everything needed to make that first dance special, which it was. DJ Keelez also super high energy and knows how to keep a crowd going. There weren't a ton of people dancing, even throughout the night, but she always had someone on the dance floor and made the night entirely worth it. This last part meant the most to me. My only living grandmother came to the wedding, but she has knee problems so she spent most of the night sitting at her table, watching everyone dance. When the last song finished playing, the lights came up and everyone was starting to clean up, I went over and dragged my grandma on to the dance floor for just once dance, just with me. DJ Keelez put on some 1950's song (grandma said it was from when she was a kid) for us to dance to, which meant the world to me. Being able to share that dance with her and that memory is more than I can ever have asked for from my wedding, and it wouldn't have been half as special if not for DJ Keelez noticing we were dancing and putting on something for us. The memory still makes me shed a tear. Oh, and we took some sweet photo booth pics after everything wrapped up, which just solidifies her awesomeness in my book. Bibi, met up with my husband & I and we went over what music we liked and what music we definitely did not want to hear. She was so helpful and really guided us in the right direction. We had a Britney Spears impersonator do a performance at our party and DJ Keelez helped coordinate her entrance. It was a hit and was completely flawless! We had so much fun. Virtual MVP: I RSVPed for a virtual baby shower and, truth-be-told, was dreading it just a bit (baby showers in general aren't my fav and then to do it virtually, that sounded really not fun!!). But when I logged on,I was FLOORED!! DJ Keelez was spinning (you could see her with all of her equipment, dancing herself) and everyone was dancing in their seats and it was so fun!!! Rather than cycling though everyone talking at once and then awkward silence, she took control - we played games (even during the opening of presents, which should be standard!!), she got us engaged from minute one, and her energy way amazing. The playlist that bselecta put together was inclusive so that guests of every age were on the dance floor while also steering clear of some of the "stereotypical" wedding songs that we didn't want to dominate the night. I'm pretty picky when it comes to music and DJ Danni took our guidance perfectly. All must-plays were played and the rest of the music was on-point as well! DJ Keelez was the DJ for our October 2022 wedding at Inn of the Seventh Ray and she was everything we could have ever hoped for in a DJ/MC! As a queer couple with friends and family across the LGBTQIA+ community, it was very important to us to have the voice of our event be one that was inclusive and Bibi delivered that alongside a fantastic attitude and great song selections and mixing. We even threw her the curveball of wanting to "fake out" our guests with a slow cover of a rock song that transitioned into the original and she handled it beautifully. Incredibly lovely to work with in the lead up to the event, incredibly on top of things on the day of--even took it upon herself to make sure we knew when our photographer's time was running out, which we really appreciated, and overall just a fun, lively presence that really made our event wonderful!
