After several weeks of reaching out, DJ Mello and my friend came to a repayment agreement and then he blocked her on all of his social medias in attempt to get rid of her. If you never planned on refunding the security deposit, he should have been honest and upfront. It isn't good business practice to say you're going to do something and then don't. We messaged/emailed a couple of DJs and Mike (the only one) asked if we could have a short call to talk through what we wanted. Literally 30 seconds into the conversation, I knew we found the right person. Mike was so calm, so organized, he took our all over the place thoughts, organized them, AND fit them all together despite them being multiple genres and age groups.... Mike was the consummate professional and kept in contact with us up to the day, showed up two hours early for setup and sound check, and also was incredibly approachable for anyone that wanted to hear ANYTHING else on the playlist. Mike gave us music, lights, shout outs, and we made several obligatory speeches. Mike handled everything sound related, kept us organized, and kept people moving for the entire party.
