DJ Lejas is an absolute must-have vendor at your event! We got married on February 12, 2024, and not a single day goes by without us thinking about how amazing everything was! Since the day we decided we would be getting married in Oahu, I knew I wanted a DJ that spoke Spanish as the majority of our guests were Hispanic + we wanted to play a lot of Spanish music! I found DJ Lejas on Yelp and immediately contacted him. Since our first call, he was so excited for us and we just clicked and loved his vibe! The booking process was so easy + his method of using the app to get your favorite songs and timeline of events was so awesome! One of our biggest concerns for our wedding was the different dynamics that are both our families! My husband's family doesn't dance while my family are party people! We were looking for a wedding dj that can accommodate our beach ceremony venue and garden reception. Our wedding coordinator recommended DJ Lejas, since he has experience with that. Also, our wedding coordinator liked working with him. I thought our service was just ok. Months before the wedding I had asked if he can play this custom mix during our ceremony and if he can loop a certain part, I included the exact times and everything. I told him to let me know what he thought about the timeline of the song and if he is able to work with it. He said that he got it. On the day of the ceremony, when the song played, the song got so messed up. I am not sure how to explain it, but he looped a clearly wrong section, it sounded so bad and choppy. I was sort of mortified. I think if I weren't getting married, I would have definitely cried. I am so sad that I felt that way in that moment because it showed in the pictures (the before walking down the aisle photos). I just wished that if he was not able to play the custom song right, that he would have just told me. I also wished that if maybe it was going to sound choppy on his end that he would have just communicated with me, so we can either work something out or just pick an easier song. I am not sure, but maybe because of the choppy ceremony song situation he offered to emcee and give us additional lights during our reception for free, which was nice of him. We were actually going to have one of our friends emcee that night. When it came to the introductions for the reception, he said my husband's name wrong. It did confuse our guests for a second, but he did apologize. It's not the worse thing in the world, but I just feel like if you offer to emcee, you should say the client's name correctly. He said "Travis" instead of Trevor. Overall, I liked how we got to pick the music that we wanted beforehand. I believe he played majority of it. He was able to accommodate both our beach and garden venue, which we appreciated. It was nice he possibly tried to compensate us for the ceremony music. HOLY SHIT! Dj Lejas was FUCKING AMAZING! Full of energy and so so so so much fun! We asked for an edm rave vibe and he delivered and then some! Alex came highly recommended and we were excited to have him DJ our wedding. A few days before our wedding I had emailed him and his response informed us that he will not be DJing but his "right hand man" would be. We had never met him nor did he introduce himself to us. That was just the beginning. We had filled out the app as requested with procession songs, music for different parts of the reception. The first miss was they did not play the parent processional song which was a significant song as it was my something borrowed-my sisters wedding song who had passed a few years before. Then they were playing multiple songs in a row by the same artist. I think they just played the Beatles greatest hits during dinner, which included the groom and mother's first dance. Then, the DJ started playing the bride/groom's first dance during the father daughter dance. Next up, was the two songs that I specifically put on the app that I wanted played-one was played half way and as a remix. The second song I had to ask if they were going to play it as the night was coming to a close. He said oh I didn't know the song or it was requested. Really disappointed in the lack of communication, not only between Alex and I but what appears to be the lack of communication between Alex and his replacement. I could understand some errors but there were numerous, most of which could have be avoided if they looked at the information provided on the app. I voiced disappointment to my coordinator and said she would have Alex reach out and he never did. read more

While this review is waaaay overdue, rest assured that DJ Lejas and manager Alex will make sure you are event ready for the maximum party experience! My daughter graduated in 2017, and I was a planning committee member for Kamehameha Schools Kāpalama project graduation (PG) event. My experience working with PG goes back to 1994 when I used to co-emcee, and later became a planning member and event night volunteer. PG can be a crazy event because the committee is always trying to plan something over the top for graduates to make it a night to remember. This means possibly having multiple venues throughout the evening and into the following morning. When I first met with DJ Lejas to brainstorm, I explained that our team was considering two, and possibly a third location for music/sound/lighting. I can assure you that most mobile DJs would have quoted out a cost running into the mid to high thousands. As a school, we have a budget, and right from the start, DJ Lejas was amenable and willing to work with us. He also understood that as a school, we wanted to play the hottest hits, but the clean versions to keep it all kosher. DJ Lejas was flexible with our program, allowing us to make small program adjustments on the fly while keeping the energy high for our new graduates. We ended up only needing two venues; DJ Lejas was on-site and setup on-time, spinning tunes to greet our graduates back to campus. His selection of music kept everyone going, even though we had all been up all night. Manager Alex is a great human being, caring and service-oriented. He always goes out of his way to provide an outstanding experience, whether it's for a large or small event, and can adjust his music to all genres, from contemporary Hawaiian to reggae, to adult AC, hip hop, Top 40, Latin, bachata, and soooo much more.
