The organization that I plan events for choose to use Joe and his crew whenever we're at a venue that allows us to bring our own AV in. We've used them in multiple event settings - a smaller luncheon with 75 people, a gala with 275, and a larger event with 450 people. When I had to scramble to find a projector and screen for my son's funeral, Mystical Sounds Production came to the rescue. They were able to let our family rent a projector and screen that day and the owner let us test out our slideshow from our laptop and made sure we had all the adapters needed to make it work. The quality of the projector and screen was superb as well. The location is in town right next to inspiration in town and you go to his storage place in the condo and helps you load all the equipment into your car. Besides projectors and screens, they also do other rentals like lights, bubble machine, and karaoke and anything to make equipment you may need for a party. Knowing that was a selling point to consider them. They havw exceptional communication with you, and reply fast Our Dj that night was John. He was super good for numerous reasons. We worked well with me, asking for a recommendation list. He made sure to play all the songs and basically did everything we asked of him. He working with our singer earlier to make sure she sounded as best as she could sound. He got everyone on the dance floor super fast, and kept everyone there for two and a half hours!! 4 year over due review!! My husband and I got our monogram lighting from MSP...suuuper cute and a great touch to our wedding reception at the Hilton Hawaiian Village! We got a ton of compliments from our guests. Joe was so easy to work with, I was able to reserve this and do all of the communication via email. Very convenient as I was working full time and was stressing planning our wedding. He was probably the easiest vendor I worked with. He always responded quickly to any questions I had, I LOVE that! I reached out to Mystical Sounds one week before an event where we needed DJ equipment & lighting (which I know nothing about) and Joe responded immediately with recommendations when I wasn't sure exactly what to order. We already had a DJ on our team who provided a list of equipment requirements, but it turned out that one of our DJ's recommendations would have been incompatible with the USB he planned to use - which Joe spotted and made sure we corrected before finalizing the order. Before the party Joe visited the venue to make sure that the proposed location for the equipment would have enough outlets and space. Originally booking with Joe Ho, three months before my wedding, I was referred to Matt, who ended up being the DJ for my wedding, along with Chris. He was very nice and accommodating with the songs that I was requesting and even recommended songs for certain dances or walk-ins when my mind went completely blank. He returned phone calls quickly and was very easy to talk to and humored me with my silly requests to get the old folks moving in the beginning of the reception and then can get all club-crazy with the younger folks as the night progressed. My organization and I booked Mystical Sounds Productions not for a wedding or anything like that but for a more large scale event for a festival event down in Waikiki side. I was pretty satisfied with the our business with them. From the start, with the point of contact all the way down to the ending of our event everything went smoothly with them logistically and with sound. Joe, the head honcho for the company is really professional and easy to work with. When first contacting him he met with my organizations committee right away in one of our meetings to present what he had to offer with his sound company. He was able to give us a really decent and reasonable quote and price for our event. He invited a couple members from our organization to check them out at one of their gigs on a weekend. We were pretty impressed with the equipment and what they had to offer with their services so we booked them. They have good people working with them and all of their sound equipment is pretty legit. I learned some new things from Joe's perspective and insight on today's sound systems and sound in general. Our wedding went great, and the live sound & audio that Matt and the guys put together were perfect. The processional walk down the aisle was never rehearsed with the music, but it went so smoothly you'd think we practiced many times. Then for the reception, we'd asked for DJ services, but also needed a live band setup so that me (the groom) and my friends could play some live music. This included renting a drumkit, vocal mics, DI's for guitar, and the PA. This live music part went great; with the quickest of sound checks before the ceremony, we were ready to go with the live music right after we cut the cake. The sound was clear, the mix was great, and the drums sounded much better than my drummer buddy expected when I told him he'd be playing on a rented kit! The DJ'd portions of the party - cocktail/dinner music first, and later the dance music - were just right. We gave Matt a thumb drive of the music we wanted, and he stuck to it for most of the night, and also added some of his own choices in a similar vein to keep the dance floor hopping. We really appreciated the team's professionalism all the way through this process. I am doing two events this year with Mystical Sounds. My sons 1st birthday party and my husbands Yakudoshi. I was planning more than a year in advance. Joe, helped so much with my vision and my budget. Often i changed my mind depending on theme and budget. He helped with everything. We met and he showed me systems and effects until i was satisfied. Even up to a few days before i was still adding on to my party. The emcee Maleko was incredible, the dj took request even old school songs, the camera guy took all the pictures of the guest.
