This is long overdue but I attended a wedding at the Hilton Lac-Leamy and the DJ looked like he…read moredidn't know what he was doing. While everyone was sitting down for the reception, he was playing a wedding video of a DIFFERENT couple for a good 30 minutes (why didn't he check to make sure it was correct?) He didn't know how to properly mix and transition into different songs, he would literally sit there and wait until a song is over and just play the next song. I think the DJ lied about knowing how certain cultural wedding traditions because he agreed to the bride and groom that he knew what a money dance is. But when I asked him he said he didn't know and literally gave me a mic to explain to the audience what it is (WTH?). When they were doing speeches, he didn't know how to adjust the volume of the mics and when they did a slideshow he didn't know how to fix the audio. Guests from the wedding party actually had to teach him how to properly use his equipment.... It worries me that this company has no reviews on their Yelp page, maybe you should change the name to NO Quality Entertainment Services because this is sad.

We had one of his other DJs, Jeff, do our actual wedding and he did a phenomenal job from ceremony to reception. Our venue's power went out and the only reason we were able to continue the event was due to them being prepared and having a backup battery speaker/lights. They legitimately saved the day. I was planning to attend a New…read moreYears Eve party where this company was performing and I wanted to see if they tailored their events to be suitable for someone with epilepsy. Not only did they not answer all my questions but they were very rude and unprofessional. Here's a few things they wrote me. '...I can't really answer that question...' '...I am not a doctor or responsible for your condition...' '...talk to your doctor... not me.' '...if you have a problem with flashing lights then I suggest you DO NOT ATTEND.' At first I was surprised by their lack of professionalism in their correspondence, it seemed I was messaging a teenager in high school rather than a businessman. Then I was surprised by their lack of any basic knowledge about epilepsy considering their profession and how they tried to brush me off. In the past I have talked with other DJs who've had experience with people who suffered epilepsy and they were very understanding and accommodating. Since then there has been no apology or any offer to accommodate me, they've made it very clear they don't care about my attendance or my safety. I will be making several more complaints about them in different channels as I don't believe their customers would approve of them driving away their business or their intolerance and ignorance on this subject.

The reason why it was so important to me is that I am from Iran and it was important to me that Persian songs be a part of my wedding day. I was sure it would be a fun day but last Sunday, DJ gets to the wedding site, I said hi John and he says, " Hi, I am S." I was confused and asked where John was and he simply said John couldn't make it. No text or any explanations from John. I was completely shocked. S did not know anything about my preferences although he said John had briefed him. Long story short, the new guy was as good as a 17 year old with a CD player. I don't think playing one song 3 times in a row is called DJing! Only 4 of my songs were played and I cannot even watch the videos of my own wedding cause it is just too sad! It was very unprofessional and unethical to just charge you the full amount and not deliver what you expected or not even tell you that they will not be able to make it to your wedding! Overall, I was very unhappy with them and would not recommend them to anyone.
