They did a phenomenal job!…read more The long review: From the very beginning, they made the whole process very easy for us - not only the DJ and music selection elements, but the entire wedding. We had an initial walk-through with Shane (owner/manager), Steve (MC) and Ross (DJ), who asked us a few questions so they could better understand us and make recommendations for our wedding - e.g. what kind of music we like, how did I my wife and I meet, how would we describe each other, etc... This walkthrough was very helpful as we had no idea what we were doing and gave us a good idea of what to expect and what we needed to prepare in the coming months. To add another layer of difficulty, we were trying to coordinate a wedding in Niagara on the Lake, ON, while living in Boston, Massachusetts. They checked-in with us from time to time with more elements to consider and to discuss the details of the timeline for our wedding. As we got closer to the event date, we had a few Skype sessions with Steve, our MC. We provided him with some very ambiguous and open-ended information about our bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents that he was able to, somehow, turn into beautiful introductions for each person before they gave their speeches. Steve not only went above and beyond prior to the event to make us feel comfortable with how things were going to go, but during the event as well - introducing his great sense of humor throughout without overpowering the event. Steve was so beloved, in fact, that at the end of the event much of the wedding party asked to have them join them for drinks while they continued the celebrations that night. Ross was the DJ during the event. As a half "American", half Ukrainian wedding, we threw a very complicated set at him. We gave him songs that were in another language with varying styles that he needed to balance with a mix of traditional jazz and 90s pop music. He was able to pull this off without a hitch and read the crowd very well. Ross was great about taking requests from the guests. We had a diverse group of people - with equally diverse tastes - whose requests he was able to satisfy and blend into the overall style/feel we wanted for the evening. We also had Sound of Harmony provide blue uplights - which we highly recommend as well. It added a nice feel around the room where we felt something would have been missing otherwise. It's a small addition, but makes a big impact. We couldn't have asked for a better team to DJ our event. Working with them was by far the easiest part of wedding planning. The day of the wedding we still had a lot of things to keep in mind and take care of but the DJ and the MC were not one of them. We are truly thankful for all their hard work! Our DJ,…read moreI'm pretty sure his name was Ray, was friendly enough and talked a great game in terms of helpfulness and accommodation, but on the night of our wedding it did not feel that way. Our DJ called a week or two before the event to get some of the details. I told him the songs we wanted for the dances and most of the songs that the bridal party would be coming out to. He was very attentive saying he would have everything we needed. He was very confident saying he'd done many weddings particularly at the Como where our reception was and he left me feeling we were in very good hands. They also have a website where you can fill in the important songs and details, so I had completed that as well, and had mentioned that while on the phone with him. He said he could see our choices and I figured that was good to have our choices in writing as otherwise it might get lost in translation on the phone. However the night of the wedding was frustrating to say the least. The limo dropped our bridal party off to enjoy some food and drinks but I had to spend quite a bit of that time trying to make sure we had all the songs we had requested for the bridal party introductions in order. He seemed to not have many of them, and they weren't really obscure songs, I mean we had a random Space Jam song, but with two weeks notice that shouldn't be hard to get. He finally seemed to think he had everything so I went to mingle and try to forget about it. Then came the introductions, some of which were out of order, and one song he didn't have at all. My bridal party did a great job just going with the flow and making it work, but still annoying. Then after dinner I went over to him and asked to start doing the first dances so that we could get to dancing. I feel like usually the DJs handle the timing themselves, but whatever I didn't mind going to ask him. My mouth dropped as he said year sure as soon as I get my coffee, and he proceeded to walk away from his stand and go busy himself with coffee and desserts. Now, I am happy for him to get coffee but that seemed really unprofessional to me. He could have very easily gotten our song playing and gotten the coffee in the more than 3 minutes the song lasted. One of those little things where it didn't take him that long, and if it had been the only mishap of the night probably wasn't a big deal but after all the time I wasted during cocktail hour trying to make sure he had the songs I had requested it was extra frustrating. Then came the groom and his mother dance. My husband had selected "I Will" by the Beatles, but that is not what came on. Some sort of club type rap song that was not at all the sort of song grandma wants to hear at all let alone while her daughter is dancing with the grandson. Again not sure why he had the wrong song, and no real offer to help or apology. My husband tried to nonchalantly move over towards him and tell him about the error but he really didn't seem to care or do anything about it. It only got switched to the right song when my husband's step father streamed the song on his smartphone and the DJ hooked that up and played it through there. The DJ did a fine job of playing dance songs after that so as long as he could play what he wanted it went fine, but he just really couldn't handle our requests, which weren't much, 9 introduction songs, and 3 songs for our first dance and the mother son and father daughter and that's it. We took everything in stride and still had a really incredible wedding, but I was very very disappointed by the service and even the fact that the DJ wasn't at all apologetic about the frustration. The price was good, so I guess chock this one up to you get what you pay for, Brides or other patrons beware!

THEN when the party bus was supposed to pick us up at 10 they didn't get there until 1230 the place we were at closed so we had to wait outside then the driver was RUDE to us as if we inconvenienced him. I also asked david E to redo my video because it was horrible he said he couldnt because he didn't have time and the footage was lost anyways. Maybe if he wasn't hitting on my grandmother the whole time he could have done a better job. I would NEVER recommend his services for anything he was absolutely horrible.

From our initial meeting at a Starbucks, Brian set very high standards for himself. Did we mention that our first meeting ended up going for two hours? It was amazing how comfortable we felt around him right off the bat. He was an incredibly laid back and fun person to talk to, and we just lost track of time. For my wife and I, it seemed like we were talking to someone we had known for years, not a DJ we just met. After that meeting, we were pretty much set. We had met with one DJ before, and had talked to a couple others on the phone, and no one even came close to how comfortable we felt with him. We had made our decision before we had even gotten back to our car. Later when we informed him he had won the job, he literally had a child-like glee and excitement that he'd get to help make our reception something special. When we had our music meeting, we were once again impressed with Brian. Again, it turned into a two hour meeting, which is hard to call a meeting considering how much fun we had with him (including his falling in love with a certain comfortable chair at our apartment). He was a very detail oriented person, wanting to make sure he got everything right; people's names and pronunciations, how each of our parents should be introduced and whether they were married or not, among many other things. He even brought up a few things that we had completely neglected to think about, and certainly saved our butts from some last minute panic. He was also very thorough about the music for the evening, obviously like you would hope for a DJ! He was very particular about trying to understand our musical tastes, which for my wife and I, were very different. I'm very much a country boy at heart, she is pretty much all music except country. His depth of knowledge of music was incredible, and whenever we needed suggestions for a song to use during a part of our reception, he always managed to pick out a few samples that hit just right and made it incredibly hard to pick just one! Again, he set some incredibly high standards for himself. When we got to the big day, Brian managed to outdo the standards he had set for himself. At the end of the night I literally didn't have the words to thank him. I had gotten so many compliments during our reception about how great the music was, and how much everyone loved the game we had played right before the dinner began (which was completely Brian's suggestion!) He made the night. He was very organized and kept the event going in the right direction the entire night. He honestly knew more about the schedule for the reception than I did! I honestly don't know if I could ever run out of good things to say about Brian Wright. I sincerely hope a few of our friends who are getting married soon pick him as their DJ so I can see him again. I cannot thank him enough for how memorable of an evening he made my wedding day. I want to have more parties just so I can hire him! How much do I believe in Brian Wright? At our reception, I picked up a stack of his business cards. I carry them in my wallet so that whenever anyone, anywhere, mentions that they need a DJ, I don't even have to think about looking up his information to give them, I can just hand them his card and tell them: "Just use this DJ. Don't think twice, don't ask questions. He will be better than you can even dream of."
