From the minute we met Kris and his wife we had a good feeling about them. Then we talked more and really had that "yea, they're the one" feeling. That continued the whole way through. Every meeting we had to go over timelines/songs/everything, Kris proved over and over he was the right decision. He made our wedding a flawless production. He MC'd our wedding & reception and killed it! He kept a tight, well organized schedule. Then there was the party. Kris had us on the dance floor the whole night. This review is for both the DJ services and the Photo booth services offered by DJFX Entertainment although, I once road in the party bus that is also offered and .... wow..... so, so cool. We discovered him at not one but two weddings and knew he was the one for us. We hired DJFX Ent. for our wedding on 8/20/16 at Descanso Gardens (for ceremony) and then at the Westin, Pasadena, CA for the reception. I cannot BEGIN to tell you how many people have told us it's the most fun they've ever had at a wedding..... but more on that later... Kris provided all the sound, speakers, mics for our ceremony. It all went off without a hitch. Our Officiant had a wireless mic with stand, my groom had a lapel mic and DJFX even had an easy hook up for videographer so they could sync up (which was also great for the reception speeches)..... little details that we don't think about. He met with us twice; once initially to go over the basics and then closer to the big day to cover the timeline specifics and to discuss what songs were a must and what songs were 'do not play' ;) We also planned out all ceremony songs, all songs for introductions and dances with parents, etc. Kris' experience in the industry was invaluable. He advised on timeline questions, set up questions, and he gave helpful suggestions on the bridal party intros. He also brings a ladder to every wedding and when the bride and groom dance is over, he asks all wedding guests to come to the dance floor for a group photo. Your photog climbs the ladder and captures priceless pics and then DJFX busts into a great dance song and everyone can't help but stay and dance. It's so awesome. He played the best songs and had an absolutely incredible light set up, not just on the dancefloor but throughout the ballroom. Regarding the photo booth, we've all been to so many weddings with so many variations of photo booths.... his is the BEST. The lighting and clarity of the pics is unmatched and you have the luxury to take pics of up to 15 people in one frame, yet, your image of two people will be just as great. If you want an experienced, professional, reliable, accessible DJ (and/or photo booth supplier) that your entire fam and friends will love, DJFX is your man. read more

The DJ played the WRONG once-in-a-lifetime Father/Daughter dance song at my daughter and son-in-law's wedding. It was supposed to be DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL by Michael Bolton. Years later, I still get compliments on how fun my wedding was and I attribute that in large part to Kris! My wedding also had some unique aspects to it, which Kris did a great job of handling. First of all, I'm a musician and wanted to serenade my wife during the ceremony. Kris said it was no problem and brought the appropriate sound equipment. Second, my wife and I are Jewish and it was a Jewish wedding. Kris set up a great hora and was able to keep it going for a long time! Finally, Kris also provided great lighting options! In summation, Kris is dedicated to his profession and one of the best wedding DJ's I've seen. He makes your special day more special and makes sure you to minimize your worries. WE LOVED DJFX!!! Kris did an AMAZING job from first contact when we were choosing our DJ to the very end of our event. He went above and beyond and we couldn't be more grateful! As an MC: Kris did a great job keeping everyone engaged, eliminating those awkward empty space moments that so many weddings had. He kept right on with the timeline that he actually helped us by writing most of, and kept us updated as to things that would be coming up soon. He rolled with it when our guests were beyond slow to start dancing the anniversary dance and made everything seamless. As a DJ: Kris played all the songs we had requested at the exact right time!! He even made sure to download the EXACT version of here comes the bride that I wanted :) He didn't play any songs that were "difficult to dance to", everything he played was a lot of fun. He did a great job of mixing my husband and my loves of country and modern love/dance songs. His lighting: Kris added that extra special effect to the entire reception room and the gardens outside. It was amazing to have the gardens well lit (Kris' suggestion) because our wedding was HOT and lots of people wanted to go outside to rest between dancing. I really appreciated having the lighting outside to keep the ambiance going and so my guests didn't have to cool off in the dark! And the photobooth: THIS WAS THE HIT OF THE WEDDING!! At the time of booking, I was kind of overwhelmed and he mentioned they did photobooths so I was like ok yea throw it on, one more thing I can check off. I was definitely wondering if I had made a mistake before the wedding but I am so glad I did!! It was a HUGE photo booth so groups of 12+ could fit in. The props were very fun and we received at least one copy of every photo taken. We had so many extra we were able to put them in a lot of our thank you cards! The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5 is because it took multiple emails and texts for him to get back to me, but even more frustrating was that the wrong date was printed on our photo booth pictures. I was EXTREMELY disappointed that when I told Kris... all I received was a text that said "so sorry". There was no offer to fix the problem or even attempt to make any resolution. We hired Kris as our DJ and masters of ceremony for our wedding back in January of 2012. In addition he did our lighting as well. All I can say is that Kris did a fantastic job!! I have used Kris and his crew for a few different occasions and each time was awesome!! He was the DJ for my wedding at Walnut Grove in Moorpark and heard nothing but great compliments from my guests about him. His energy and professionalism was beyond what we could have asked for. DJ FX did our wedding on 4/6. We were so pleased with him from start to finish. We had several meetings where we went over song preferences for general music as well as everything from ceremony music, to cake cutting music, and he took over the rest. He was very professional and a very upbeat guy! He provided great sound during both our ceremony and reception which were on boat and in a club space. DJFX (Kris) was the DJ for my daughter's wedding on August 10, 2013. He is an amazing DJ. I've never seen a DJ get the party going & get people on the dance floor like he does. It was so much fun! Kris had several meetings with us prior to the event. He creates a "timeline" where he plans out the entire event and what time everything is going to happen. He is really a "Master of Ceremonies" as well as the DJ. The lighting was really pretty, looked nicer than what I was expecting. He duplicated our logo and lit it up on the dance floor.
