They do great pedicures! I'd suggest making an appointment verses just walking in because they are really busy all the time.

I've been a client for over five years after trying a couple of other places in town. I'm a gel girl and I need my nails to look good and hold up. Lena does an incredible job and I'm done and out in under an hour. I'm pretty hard on my hands, do having them last for 3 weeks and still look good is incredible. I also love their pedis, but I'll admit I don't treat myself to one often enough. And, with all the Covid protocols required, they run a very clean, socially safe operation! Best in town. read more

I was on a trip through Port Townsend and desperately needed a fill for my acrylics. I stopped in at DK Nails since it was the first place I saw. It looks like the typical nail salon you would expect: white walls, random mirrors, fake flowers, framed photos of ugly nail art. My wait was short. I appreciated the fact that the nail tech washed his hands before starting on my nails. I got a fill with white powder. A regular fill there is $18. But since I requested white tips the price shot up to $35. He explained the increase in price was due to the fact that the white tips take longer to do. Well I've been getting my nails done for almost 9 years now and I know for a fact that a well trained nail tech can do white tips almost as quickly as acrylics with only pink powder. So the reason why this fill took longer was not because white tips take longer but because he doesn't have a lot of experience with them. I think that inexperience is a poor excuse to charge $35 for a fill. How long did it take? From start to finish and time to let the top coat dry, I was there 1 hour and 30 min. His method for applying acrylic was painstakingly slow and time consuming. Overall a little sloppy. Overall he did an ok job. They tend to put the nail line fairly low and they lay the acrylic on fairly thick so you'll probably want to ask them to either apply less or grind more of the acrylic off. It did the job. I'd only stop in here again if I was in desperate need. From what I saw on someone else they seem to do a good job on pedicures. read more

These folks mean business. I went in for a mani/pedi and was out in 1 hour. DK runs an efficient shop. No frills, but sufficient nail colors, acrylic, and the typical massage chairs and cheesy posters. Prices were on the low side. My basic MP was $30. (No acrylic) The place was very clean, the attendants wore surgical masks, and my ticklish feet and problematic cuticles were handled with professional ease. I was able to chill, not have to make small talk with the gal who was helping me, and get the heck out of there so I could enjoy a glorious sunny day in Port Townsend. Two weeks later my nails still look good. I will be back. read more

Best nail salon in Port Townsend for the price! The foot baths are clean and they keep the shop tidy. Most of the technicians have good attention to detail on nails and are good about sloughing dead skin off of your heels (dirty job but someone has to do it). Went to this nail place trying to start our vacation off right and they did the fastest pedicure I have ever had. Didn't enjoy it at all. The lady was grumpy and kept yanking my feet left and right. I've stopped into this place two times. Both times I've came in they for some reason acted like they did not want my business. The first time I came in with a friend and they told us the wait would be a while and that they could only do one of our nails that day. So needless to say we kind of got upset and left. The second time I went in, there was only one person in there and I asked them if they could do a full set of a nails that I showed them I found online, and they said yes but I don't have time. I just kind of looked at him and was waiting for him to tell me to come in later, or make a appointment, or call another time. But nope. He just made it clear that he didn't have any time fore and didn't want my business. Needless to say. I will never be going back there or referring anyone to this place. read more

I called at 12:30 to make a same day appointment today, Friday and was able to get the time I wanted at 4 p.m. Since I'm just here a few days I was leary about a new place but decided to give it a try. The man that did my manicure and pedicure did a very good job. It was very relaxing and they came out very pretty. The cost was $35 for both and I would recommend going here. read more

I had a fill and gel polish. Lena did a really nice job on the shape and was flexible with my appointment.

I was referred to DK nails by a neighbor as I am new to Port Townsend. She recommended I make an appointment as they are busy, a good sign. I arrived at my mani/pedi appointment time and they greeted me by name and took me right in. All the other chairs were full, but one was open for me. The salon is clean and efficient, no frills or chatting, which is all fine with me. I moved to PT to escape the pace of the area I lived in. I don't need frills, TV or frufru drinks. I just want my nails taken care of, which is what I got at DK. The price was reasonable. Several people came in without appointments and were irritated that they had to wait. Its sad people are so impatient, but that's not the fault of the salon. They were working hard to accommodate everyone without rushing those of us with appointments. It's been a week and my nails still look great. I have found my new go to nail place and will simply setup ongoing appointments. read more

Nails AND customer service here are both TOP NOTCH. You never leave unless you love your nails. I love Lena! She always does an amazing job and knows I love the sparkle on my nails. Andy is so nice as well, they know my name and have since the second or 3rd time I was in there. They remember details about me and my nail polish hoarding habit that I have, where I work, my kids, my hubs...all around great people! I wish I got in there more than I do. read more
