I had been dealing with extremely oily skin and acne for over 40 years when my daughter gifted me (in 2007) with a facial gift certificate for Julie Hoffman/Face of Grace. I had never in my life been to an aesthetician, only a lot of dermatologists who only treated me with antibiotics for the acne and ignored all my other skin problems (milia, black/whiteheads, sebaceous glands, lentigines (age spots), flaking skin, etc.) So, reluctantly (I am very shy), I used my gift certificate and booked a facial with Julie. She connected with me immediately and made me feel safe and comfortable. Due to her knowledge and skills, I discovered the wonders of microdermabrasion treatments which completely revamped the quality of my skin. Truth to tell, when I looked in the mirror after my first microdermabrasion, my first words were, "Wow my skin loves this!" My skin was actually glowing and I was thrilled! I have been plagued with problem skin my entire life, and now I actually get told that my skin looks beautiful. She has also introduced me to Eminence skin care products and the Jane Iredale line of make up, both of which I adore and do not make me break out or add to my skin problems. And I must add that she never pressured me to purchase any of these products from her. I was the one who asked to try some of the products she used during my facials, etc. (because they smelled so delicious and felt so wonderful on my skin.) Have you tried the ionizing foot soak? It's wonderfully relaxing and very informative about what might need attention in your body. I do Epsom salt and soda soaks at home but this really helped my early morning foot pain. I'm signed up for another in two weeks.
