Then admitted he had poor communication & the project was then delayed again as he put other projects he took on AFTER ours, ahead of ours. After requesting a "progress payment" even though we already paid the original deposit it for the project, which we honorably paid the "progress payment" because we get it, things happen and he wanted money for life in the meantime before completing the project he was hired to do. Clearly our mistake for being good people. He agreed due to all the delays on his end and improper communication and project hiccups that he would give us a discount to make it right... HE offered the discount, we did not ask for it. But then when it came time for payment he refused to do so as he was also supposed to do our blinds in which we paid a $1,700 upfront deposit for, that he lost track of and forgot about. So when I brought that up originally claimed that wasn't true until I had to provide the contract he sent us & the proof of payment to his company on my end, and NOW is deciding because a separate job we paid for that he pocketed and forgot about that he no longer will be giving a discount for the project at all like he said he would. He then decided to lie and say the secondary window he bought after the original was damaged he said was only a little bit more now claiming it was double the original window & said he'd provide proof of, but since it's a lie is now refusing to provide that proof as his reasoning to not giving a discount anymore, when it's really because I called out the $1,700 that he collected and has no intention of finishing until I provided on my end. After asking him to provide the receipts like HE said he would, he's now refusing to & going back and changing his word on everything he originally said & I have all the messages to show it. He then decided to call me ignorant and selfish for asking him to just stick to his word honorably. Horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone, as he is dishonest and goes back and forth on his word & calls clients names who haven't been disrespectful & have just asked him to stick to his word & hold true to it. After contacting this company for an estimate on a "labor only" bath remodel ( I was supplying the…read morematerials), come to find out they want 50% down BEFORE the job ever begins. For what you might ask? They had no reason! My brother has been a General Contractor in another part of the state for over 30 years, and he says non of their sub contractors EVER charge until arriving on the job site, unless substantial materials cost is involved (again, I was supplying all materials). This has potential ripoff written all over it, as I use to restore homes years ago, and was ripped off. I notice other reviewers are having less than a favorable experience, as well. In this day and age of reviews where the public will warn others, you'd think businesses would wise up and realize how much business they are losing due to their "policies" and "behavior".
