Step-son paid $2500 in May for a psychological assessment. This assessment was recommended and…read morerequested as part of identifying mitigating circumstances for an upcoming court sentencing hearing. Dr. Johnson assured it would only take him a few weeks to complete once all the evaluation questions were completed. Fast forward several months, the assessment was never completed and never delivered. Dr. Johnson made up conflicting excuses such as the report is "almost done" and will be done within a couple weeks. He told the attorney it had already been emailed multiple times, but not received. He then said the report was stored on a flash drive that had become corrupted and the data was "unrecoverable". The sentencing hearing took place without the assessment that was paid for and promised. We contacted Dr. Johnson and requested a refund of the entire $2500. He apologized saying he thought we had gotten the report, and said he had mailed a refund check to us that morning. After waiting a week with no check received, we contacted him again and he said we simply had to keep waiting as the mail is slow. We made him issue us a check in person and went and picked it up. The next week, we received the supposedly original check, postmarked a week after he had said it was mailed. I would highly discourage anyone from utilizing his services because he is very dishonest and blatantly lies. Search for his info online and you'll see this exact same complain from multiple other people: they pay $2500 for psychological assessments that he never delivers.

I met the owner on an error made on my own, but our meet up was meant to happen. The ambiance of her business is so warm and welcoming. I was offered a wonderful brewed tea( her mom is an herbalist) that I could have had glass after glass of.. She and I talked about my needs and goals for my session.. I was escorted to the sauna area.. Where I was able to play my classical playlist.. Turn the lights out.. And steam! 15 min of that.. Then to a different area I went.. This room is like heaven.. Soft earth sounds saturated the room.. Candle place perfectly.. Then the spot of the hour.... The table! I had many areas, I knew we wouldn't hit all of them, but what she paid attention to in that hour...my neck and shoulders..MY SHOULDER! The one that's been giving me hell, and the other one that's been compensating for the other. I learned the proper way to breathe through a massage.. As I exhaled my breath.. I let out another piece of stress, another burden, another painful memory.. This was therapy.. Not just massage therapy.. But MIND, BODY, AND SOUL therapy. I don't treat myself enough.. I reminded myself of that as I was preparing to leave. Once I walked out of her office, I had a new bag of tea and a session set for next week, that I went ahead and set-up. The bill had all the details of my 5 months with her. However, missing from the statement was a total of 8 payments that I made to her, totaling $455 that she never posted to my account. I have left 3 voice mails and she refused to return my calls to discuss it. I had to file a notice of claim on her in small claims court. She is careless and sloppy. Her office is dirty. Her couch is so filthy, I refused to sit on it. Her website is sloppy and even has misspellings on it. Her website says that she is a "Metal" Health Resource. Diana does not pay attention to details. She is also a liar. I wish I had never made that first appointment with her.

Im so surprised by the other reviews I've seen on Dr Martin. I have had nothing but a great…read moreexperience with her. I enjoy the fact that she talks to me like a real person rather than keeping an awkward "professional" demeanor. She knows the names of my family members and the relationships I have with each one of them. I have never felt judged or looked down on. Quite the opposite really. I think what I like the most is her ability to call me on my BS. This is recovery. This is hard. There are times that I am my own enemy and the root of the stress I am going through. She will tell me that, and show me a different way of thinking. A way out. She knows what kind of work I do and takes the time to ask me about different aspects going on that affect my industry. I have never been asked a weird list of questions off a list. We cover the DEA questions required to be asked by prescribers but that is not that main meat of our conversations. I have never felt rushed out. There have been times I needed more time due to something really hard I was going through and she sits right there with me while I cry and carry on and deal with the thoughts while she offers me guidance. There are also times that I am not in a chatty mood and everything for the most part is going fine. Those visits may be a little shorter. Its never just 3 mins and rushed out though. If you are looking for a yes person, she is NOT that person. Truth is if you are there for the same reason I am, we dont need another yes person in our lives. If you are looking for a dealer in a white coat. She isn't that either. She has always created an environment that I can be open and honest. Where if I fail I know as long as I am being HONEST with her she will be there with me. I am truly sorry for anyone that had a bad experience with her. I am very thankful I found her and that I still have her to help me keep fighting the war within myself. I for sure recommend her to anyone seeking help. The office personell has changed in my time going there. There was a bad egg at one time. She is long gone. The office is headed up by Nina. Again another person that has taken the time to know me, knows my children's names, my preferences on days and times, that if I come in looking a certain way that I am dealing with something different. I can not say that about most places. Can you?

Eventually we…read moredecided to divorce and as our marriage was falling apart this counselor agreed to see my now ex-husband individually in addition to our marriage counseling. I did not know at the time that this is against the ethical code of counselors and has the potential to create harmful biases. That's exactly what happened. My ex husband began saying some really concerning things about people listening in on his conversations and being part of "spy operations". I was truly concerned for my physical safety toward the end of our marriage and when I requested the records from our counselor to take to court I saw NOTHING about these paranoid delusions. When I confronted her about it she said she "didn't remember" any of it. Which is likely because it took nearly two months to finally get those records after asking for them. Then after the divorce decree was signed she reached out to collect on our bill that was only in my name. She waited from our last session in February until the middle of June to finally reach out to me for this money. The decree was signed in early June and since the counseling was under my name I am now responsible for all of it and my ex husband is refusing to help me pay it. The counselor has been callus in asking me for this money and telling me that it is now my sole responsibility since we are officially divorced. I'm not sure if waiting months was just poor business practice or it was a strategy to protect her client (my ex) from having any responsibility for the bill. So I trusted this counselor with such sensitive stuff and she sided with my abusive ex, waited months to get me the records that were biased and incomplete, waited months to tell me I had a balance, and now has e mailed multiple times in the last month to collect. I don't know what she's got going on but she doesn't seem cut out for marriage counseling, ESPECIALLY in situations of abuse. Sorry if this is harsh but it feels like she sided with my charismatic and abusive ex and is now turning against me since I didn't follow her advice and continue living with him. The office staff was excellent and the facility is wonderful. I'm sure there are great counselors there but I felt harmed by mine in the end which should NEVER happen. I might recommend this place for individual counseling but NOT for marriage counseling!!!
