They have so many desks that sit empty even if it's busy. I'm not sure why they have so many desks but only have about 3 people working. It would be so much more efficient for everyone to hire more people so people are not waiting as long. If a person goes on lunch then there's people waiting even longer because there so short staffed. The girl with the black curly hair was specifically moving so slow. Employees do not have good attitudes. My son went in for his drivers test, went to the window # indicated on his paper work. A female came up and asked if he was there for a test and said, rudely, you need to be at that window, while pointing. His driver instructor was not friendly and mumbled to where he could barely understand what was being said. He did not even hear if he passed or not until we, parents and him, looked at his score. How sad to treat people this way when they are already nervous to take a test. The driving instructor and another worker were keeping three people waiting to take their test while they stood outside discussing a person. That should have been handled privately. Communication need to improve. Once you take the driver test and fail , you cannot retake it on the same day. Why would the instructor entertain that idea? I went to take my driver test and was failed by agent #809. According to her list of errors, she felt i wasnt ready to pass. However, during my test she flopped her instructions to me a few times telling me to go left then saying sorry last minute to go right. She also mentioned to me thst her brain was all over the place. I dont believe she scored my test right because of her not being in the right mindset as she admitted so now I need to find a way to report this. read more

Came with my disabled elderly mom to just take her photo(she had already done everything else online). Appointment made, but we had to wait outside in over 95* heat just to check in. They wanted her to wait outside after she got her number to be called. This place needs to be made larger and/or have a better system than to wait in the heat. Definitely don't recommend coming in after 11am, plus make an appointment. Doesn't help much to have an appointment but it might. With them not doing basic things on the flyer, you'd think it'll be faster. The miserable woman that processes incoming customers really should retire. We had barely approached her counter before she started barking at us about documents. We started handing her the papers we had and she immediately started demanding other documents, that we were getting out. When she had all our documents that we used at our last appointment she rudely said that one of our papers was not approved. We asked what the problem was because they hadn't had any problem at the office we had been to before. Instead of explaining she said that we were welcome to leave and go to the other office. When she reluctantly went to ask her supervisor, not only was the supervisor too busy to come to the counter, but the unhappy one was completely smug when she just repeated her original statements. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have the option to go to an office with helpful and good hearted people. read more

I am amazed at how well this DMV office has it's s**t together. I've gone for a variety of things (to which I ensure an appointment had been made) and each time I was in and out of there in no time. Walk-in lines have been controlled and chaos is at an all time low. If oneself has all applicable paperwork and monetary items, then you'll be given a number, if not you're sent out the door with a check list. I've witnessed this with others and maybe this is how they manage with the crowd control. Either way, the attendees seem a whole lot nicer now and less impatient. Parking is still a burden. It's very limited but street parking is available as it sits close to a residential area and a few stores. Kiosks are also available for minor transactions. I went back to ask for an update, and they told me there was a Statewide issue on the day I went to go renew my license. They did not inform me that there was a Statewide issue until I took it upon myself and go into the DMV. "Karen" or whatever her name was, she was not helpful at all. The test instructor is very rude (Montoya). She acts friendly in front of the parents and is extremely awful when she's alone with the child. She told her to turn left at an intersection that she was already stopped at in a lane to go straight. So my child did! Why are you telling her to do the actions so late and then she's following directions in an unsafe manner? Then commenting that she "must not be from Reedley"? Montoya should be fired. read more

went on thursday 8/4, with an appointment at 10am. i'll start by saying the security guard and man at window 2 were great! this review gets 1 star because the man at window 5 was probably the rudest dmv attendant i've ever encountered. i'm a nice person and have difficulty hearing sometimes, he was very impatient and belittling. i accidentally did not fill out my name and address on the back of a title transfer, instead of letting me write it down at his window he made me get out of line and get a new number while i fill it out. turned a 15 minute appointment into a 45 minute appointment. luckily i got the helpful man at window 2 after my second time in line. read more

My girlfriend recently took the behind the wheel driving test at this dmv. I spent 4 months helping her practice, and she drives better than most drivers on the road. Not only did I personally train her, but she also attended driving schools in fresno. She was able to drive on freeways and perform perfectly behind the wheel. However when she went to this dmv it was as if the instructor was bound to fail her. Before the test, the instructor was chatting with a coworker crying about the amount people scheduled for a wheel driving appointments for that day. Toxic work environment and already having extremely negative thoughts before instructing exams make the entire process very bias. My girlfriend was constantly harassed by little remarks as "use your horn" and "You are too slow" meanwhile doing the desire speed limit. However the defining factor was a simple left turn. Apparently there was only two lanes, and the instructor instructed a simple left turn. Little did she know doing so would cause the instructor to act erratic, she angry lectured that there was a left turn lane. There is no left turn lane, it was a simple signal, stop, left turn. I do not suggest coming to the reedley dmv if taking the behind the wheel driving test. There will be a chance you will get a very bias, picky dmv instructor that will fail you just because they're having a tough morning. Waste of time, take your chances in Fresno or Clovis. read more
