Went at opening time to transfer the title and I waited - for about five minutes - before being efficiently served. I had initially planned to come later in the day and use their online "get in line" service, which I've heard is a good option. Efficient! Can we pause to ponder the cognitive dissonance of that concept, and its relevance to the dreaded DMV? Can't score an appointment? Go early, or go online to get in line. You may be pleasantly surprised! DMV.ca.gov is your friend.

The agent at window 17 (who said his name was Israel) was rude, dismissive, and refused to help me. Instead of explaining anything, he sent me away with no guidance. When I asked for a supervisor, he called another employee from window 5 who was also aggressive and unprofessional. Both of them ignored my request for a supervisor. After following their instructions and coming back fully prepared, the same agent looked at me, skipped me on purpose, and then told me straight to my face that he did NOT want to help me. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. The only reason I got my process done was because another employee stepped in and actually treated me with respect. DMV Daly City seriously needs to do better.

I got the check-in text exactly 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Immediately I was sent to an open window where a DMV employee was waiting. She politely and quickly led me through the fingerprint, onscreen application review, renewal fee payment and vision check. After handing me my interim license she directed me to the photographing station where another polite agent snapped my picture. And then I was done after spending a total of only eight minutes! Incredible positive experience. BRAVO to this office!!

The procedure for check in was a bit problematic for anyone without a device to scan the checkin QR code. Also NO WIFI at this location could be stressful to someone with a device but no service. After getting my number to get my new License, went to the mens room to fix myself up before picture was taken. Unfortunately the mens bathroom STILL had NO MIRRORS. (After not having on the last time I was here) as I am trans and avoiding conflicts use the guys bathrooms, the womens of course had mirrors. Please put a MUCH NEEDED MIRROR in the GUY bathroom Corte Madera and GUEST WIFI. Would of been 5 stars. Employees were great and helpful.

This office is 10min from my house so I thought I would see how long the wait was for non-appointments. To my surprise, I was in and out in 1 hour! Note: I filled out the application and uploaded my documents online, showed up 5 minutes before opening, and scanned the QR code for a line position the moment I got inside. Also, the lady at window #1 was both pleasant and helpful so I'm not sure why this place gets such a bad wrap! Go early, come prepared, follow directions, and be respectful for a smooth process.

After waiting the required three days, I attempted to request a replacement, but the system would not allow me to do so. That experience alone was already frustrating, which led me to visit the office in person today. The first employee I spoke with was direct and helpful regarding what I needed to do. However, my experience changed once I was sent to window #21. The employee assisting me there was rude, unclear, and difficult to communicate with. She handed me paperwork without properly explaining the next steps. She was wearing a mask and speaking very softly, making it difficult to hear or understand her instructions. When I asked what I was supposed to do with the paper, she simply pointed me toward the computers without giving clear guidance. Afterward, when I got back in line and asked additional questions for clarification, she became argumentative instead of helpful. I eventually asked for her employee number, and she gave me "C5." I mentioned I would take a picture, and there was no issue with that. Overall, this employee would greatly benefit from additional training in communication and customer service. Customers come in already frustrated at times, and clear, respectful assistance makes a big difference. Other than that, it wasn't a long line to be seen, which gave star.

Location: Not the nicest location, but close to MUNI. Across the street from a large Walgreens if you want to stock up on snacks for your wait. Office/facility: Meh, about what you'd expect from a public agency. I have yet to fully figure out the numbering system for the line. It's a similar set up to the DMV where it appears to be somewhat related to which issue you're trying to have resolved but not completely. They might go through several A numbers and then go to the D numbers with a random C number thrown in for good measure. Bring a book or ensure your phone has a solid charge and get comfy in the numerous chairs. Service: This is where it all falls apart. At some level, I almost can't blame it on the window people. They have no authority or ability to make decisions on their own. They have a narrow script to follow that forces them to turn off higher level thinking that might lead to taking exceptions into account. While the ridiculousness of this type of service only cost me an extra $22, it was frustrating nonetheless--especially because the reason I had a problem at all was due to a mistake by the CA DMV. Of course, since they are separate entities, SFMTA couldn't care less about my plight and could only parrot the govt line that I have to pay the permit transfer fee regardless. +1 star for being more efficient than the DMV.

So now they are ticketing for street cleaning when they don't sweep the street!…read more I know when they come. They didnt come. But the parking popo came and gave me a ticket anyway. Yes it was during the 'no parking street cleaning' hours (barely) but when they don't clean the street i feel like i shouldn't get a ticket. I think the city is desperate for ticket money so they can fund more stupid biking leaning rail projects or something. Also have you noticed that they don't put the brushes down since Covid? Why? Are they vacuuming instead? To me the street looks exactly the same before and after I want to do like Russian Hill did and get rid of the street sweepers. Gonna have to look into how they managed that.....
